Human AppearanceAs a human, Kong stands at 6’7” and weighs over 312 lbs. He stands more vertical rather than horizontal, and often rips the sleeves of any jacket he wears. Black seems to be his favorite color for it matches his fur and the color of his hair. His black jacket has the sleeves ripped off of them to make room for his arms. His hands are adorned in white bandages because lately he’s been either punching people or climbing about the city. His most noticeable aspect is that he never wears shoes. His feet appear just like his hands are capable of grabbing ledges, objects, and assisting with climbing. Kong climbs regularly and so he likes his ape-ish feet to be readily available.
He’ll wear jeans but rarely a shirt under his jacket. He’s already hair enough, seen from his sideburns that thickly creep down to his jaw (but not in a beard, they’re sideburns). His eyes are honey-colored and fierce like the animal he truly is. When he present his teeth in a grin, his canines are a few millimeters longer than normal, hinting at his bestial traits.
Personality On first impression, people realize that Kong is a large and intimidating guy. He has an ever-lasting resting bitch face that make anyone think twice about messing with him. After the first impression, the stereotype that follows is: big, musclebound, oaf. Kong is actually intelligent—not PhD intelligent or super genius intelligent—he shows intelligence in his ability to figure out his opponents and devise a way to execute their demise in the quickest way possible.
He has a very…
primitive mannerism. When he’s pissed, his nostrils will flare and he will enter a shouting match with someone if he doesn’t want to hurt him or her. Otherwise, if he simply doesn’t like you, he will attack. If Kong doesn’t have to fight, and he believes that he can scare someone off by reminding that person who they’re screwing with, he will hammer his fists against his beer keg of a chest. When he starts doing that, it means run!
Kong comes off as a man with many rough edges who is hard to befriend, but there is a sweet side to him that only the privileged see. He is very solitary, and he oddly has a fondness for blonde chicks. He likes bananas, and so if you want to at least when his ear or attention, bring him some bananas--seriously. Kong mostly likes to be left alone, choosing to help others only when he wants to and feels like it. He's not a super hero. He just fights anyone who tries to mess with him and his home, which just so happens to be earth.
History Kong was first sighted in 1933 by an American film crew on
Skull Island. At this time, he was an adolescent ape and was often confused to be an adult due to his 25ft height. Little did the humans know that Kong was capable of growing to colossal sizes. On Skull Island, he was worshipped by the natives as a god and was offered a beautiful woman by the name of Ann Darrow. Enraptured by the woman’s beauty, he took her into the jungle out of curiosity. While in the jungle, Ann witnessed many of Kong’s battles to protect her from the dinosaurs and other monstrous beasts that shared the island with him.
American director Carl Denham was able to use Ann to lure Kong into a vulnerable state where he got a free shot of chloroform in. The ape fell unconscious and was taken back to the states to be placed on Broadway for the world’s amusement. Kong broke free from his bindings, kidnapped Ann, and made his legendary climb up the Empire State building where he was shot down and supposedly fell to his death. Kong, presumed dead from his great fall, was taken by scientists to a research facility in Japan.
The scientists ran many tests on Kong in an effort to revive the giant in a hopes of learning more about him. Attempting to simulate the experiments of Victor Frankenstein, Kong’s body was shocked with over a million volts of electricity. To the scientists’ joy, the ape was revived, but their efforts proved disastrous. Kong awoke and escaped his confinement. He ran free throughout Japan, leaving a path of destruction, and was tracked by the Japanese Self Defense Force (JSDF). Amidst trying to destroy the monster the scientists had created, other beasts emerged to terrorize Japan and challenge the king.
King Kong defeated Gorosaurus and had to defeat the Mechani-Kong the humans had sent to stop him. When all of his foes were defeated, King Kong was last seen retreating to the ocean and was never seen again…until now.
Powers/Abilities:
Intelligence: Kong makes use of environmental objects like trees, rocks, and other objects as weapons. When fighting against overwhelming odds, he can think on his feet and find a way to win. As an ape, he was able to understand sign language from Ann Darrow. This intelligence carries into his human guise. He can be pretty creative when it comes to using the environment to his advantage.
Super Durability: Kong has been able to fight airplanes, tank rapid-fire rounds, and survive falling from great heights. He was even shown capable of tanking blasts of atomic breath from the legend herself. As a human, Kong can tank small-arms fire but not for long and not without mild to extreme consequences, depending on how long he would choose to be a meat shield.
Super Endurance: Kong has been known to go into battle and not stop fighting until he’s either knocked unconscious or the enemy is ripped apart.
Super Agility: Kong can jump over great distances (250 meters) and land on his feet. He can climb nearly anything, using his brute force to stab his fingers through structures as durable as steel.
Super Strength: King Kong displays immense physical strength, having been able to fight toe-to-toe with various giant creatures such as dinosaurs, giant snakes, killer robots, and sea monsters; and come out on top. As a human…one can only imagine.
Electricity Absorption: He cannot be harmed by electrical currents and instead feeds on the power in order to revitalize or awaken himself from unconsciousness. He can also use electricity to fire powerful surges from his hands.
Regeneration: Electricity aids in Kong’s ability to regenerate by super-charging his cells and giving them the energy to rapidly repair damaged tissue.
Kaiju Transformation: Kong’s Kaiju transformation transforms him into a massive 148 ft (45m) silver-back Gorilla.
