Hey guys, sorry about my absence, but I've got a good excuse, I swear. What I initially thought was the cold/flu turned out to be pneumonia, and without going into the gory details I've been in hospital for almost a week. Caught it fairly early so I'm gonna be fine, but it's still knocking me for six.

I'd love to get a post up and advance this some for you all, but being completely honest I really don't feel like I have the energy nor the wherewithal to put 'pen to pad'. Unfortunately I can't say that it's only going to be a question of a couple days more until I'm back on top form either.

If someone wants to take over from me I'm more than happy to pass them my notes and GM-cap, but the alternative is that the RP will have to go on a short hiatus and I can contact you all when I'm feeling more like myself.

I'm really sorry about all the hassle caused.

The only person I could see co-GMing it would have to have a close relationship with Sam (for example, you -- although I know you don't have the drive for it atm). I'm fine with a hiatus.

I'm ok with a hiatus if that's what the group wishes but there are some people here who might be up to Co-Gming with you. I've collabed with you before and it was my best experience RPing ever. If you would have me, I would gladly serve as your Hand.

I actually have an idea for a character that I'd like to ask you guys about before I, potentially, spend ages making a character sheet that i'm not going to be able to use.

I am thing of making a new Allen, specifically a teenaged Allen who's Speed Force power actually manifests itself in access to unique magic spells. Essentially, she would be really proud of being a witch, but naturally, people find out that she's an Allen and are like "Oh, so you run fast, do you?" Which really annoys her. She is proud of the fact that she is the first Allen that can help people without just having the ability to run fast. The idea is that, over the course of the RP, her magic powers slowly start to fade her, being replaced with the Super-Speed that the Flash's are known for, with her character arc involving her learning to accept her power for what it is, less as "Just another link in one great chain of Flash's" but as someone that can make a hell of a difference and do so faster than any other living thing. "It's not what you can do that defines you, It's what you actually do with it that makes you a hero."

I like the idea of it leading up to some epic moment where some Supervillain is about to do something spectacular, when she shows up in A flash outfit and proceeds to kick his ass at supersonic speed.

I also like the idea of her desperately searching for ways to stop her powers transforming into the classic Flash powers, like trying to don the Helm of Fate or maybe accidentally backfiring a spell that unleashes a demon that her fading power lacks the means to stop.

@mattmanganon Sam is ill right now and as such the RP is currently taking a hiatus. So please don't take it personally if he doesn't reply any time soon.

That's fine, it wasn't really directed at anyone in particular, just sort of everyone to sort of gain a sense of how well a character like that would be received.

Yikes. @Blacksam3091 Hope you feel better soon, from the bottom of my heart. You're a darn good roleplayer and I always love working in games that feature you. I'd say working with you, but I honestly have never really worked too closely with you. Though, I'll have to change that. Not enough people are creative or vivid like you, man. Look forward to you getting better, both for selfish and generally benevolent reasons, hermano.
