Tossinng the car wasn't even an intended attack, I just was giving Magus something to do before he got killed. (Ironically if stalled his death a bit longer.)

As per the GMs ruling, magus will recover 2 capacitors every turn he holds position, which means he has 2 lightning strikes in a can just sitting there.
Using one, I can pretty much guarantee that the tentacle beast is RIP. I think I can stall the sniper without an attack action.
That leaves one more charge.

The best scenario would involve not moving, because if we can survive just one more round yeager and magus should clean up the north pretty fast, but magus cant move if he wants to attack anything consecutively.

I observed earlier that the Cruxi squads do a weird leapfrog thing when moving, which increases their speed, but this also makes them vulnerable to magus. His LEL will chain straight through them if they are on top of eachother.

I was thinking maybe have Magus eliminate the two cruxi enroute to yeager and the tentacle beast- and distract the sniper, and have yeager flank and distract the squad south of magus. If successful, I think we are alright.

Thoughts/Problems? And yes, Magus can handle two ta@Ammokkx

Edit (This phone post was getting WAY to long to handle on my phone, so I switched to a computer. ;-;)

But Magus can activate his electroshield passively (I asked the GM previously about it), which basically means he will be ignoring the tentacle under the assumption it will get close enough to suicide into him. (This is why he can defend against it while still shooting something else.)

@Gate Keeper Wasn't his firing arm torn off? I thought his secondary system was something purely defensive, not offensive.

His main armament is built into his chest, and was unharmed (GM ruling)

His secondary IS passive, but should destroy the tentacle if it tries to engage him. His secondary can be activated without using a combat action.

Ah. I thought Magus was a bit more screwed than that. Nevermind then, we can ignore that plan.

Still gotta figure out how to handle Serah without having her mech run dry though.

Well, depending on the GM ruling for what counts as 'movement' for Magus, picking him up and football tackling the sniper might not be a bad idea- as long as it doesn't leave the southern mechas in a killzone. He could perform his actions and get snatched immediately after the last shot, which would leave one cruxi squad behind when he and Yeager left.

If the GM doesn't count that as Magus moving, then would he still receive the capacitor recharge for non-movement?
If Yes, then I think the maneuver is worth it. (Magus has medium range in motion, and long when stationary. From what Ariamis said earlier) Which means that he effectively replaces the sniper with himself. He pretty much would have a clear shot at Mist from there. And can safely support the rest of the battle from far, far away.

However, if no, I don't know if it is worth it because it will place the other two in a very unfortunate position.

Being carried doesn't count as movement (therefore the capacitor bonus remains), but Magus himself would be unable to move due to being carried in the time that could have been used to move.

Which basically means its a choice of stand and fight or try to boost the hell outta there.
I vote we fight, so as to not screw the southern crew further.

But I assumed from what @Ariamis said, it wasn't just that magus couldn't move between sectors if he was getting a ride, Magus would not have the time to fire either. Coulda been wrong though.

Well, I'd think of it as him being too distracted by firing to move, then noticing Yeager too late and getting the hell out of there without consent.

I'm no strategic mastermind, evidenced by this plan I conjured up. I'm going to need you and @Dragoknighte both to help me on this one. Though, I think it'd be hard to hit the ones in C3 because of the tentacle beast hogging the square in front of it, so B3 might be a better shot?

I am concerned about the secondary, because it's a matter of if Yeager will reach Magus before the tentacle monster does or not. The electroshield won't discriminate between friendlies and enemy units.

@DarkRecon You make it sound like I'm trying to get Mai killed. Which may or may not be the case. I'll admit to nothing right now. XD If anything Mai dying would be trying to keep Katya believable (as in misses things and makes mistakes.) E.g nearly getting Zero blown up ... which by the way was still accidental.


True. And Mai, despite her good teamwork, tends to blindly follow orders. Kind of her thing sadly. She did speak up before though doubt Kat was paying attention during the heat of combat.

Still, I'd say considering that she's below 60 percent sync, which means zero T system defense, and her legs broken and her wings busted means that she's effectively incapacitated...I ain't blaming anyone but just saying that Mai's screwed.

Well provided the boss doesn't kill Mai and Katya can kill the almighty tentacle. I an on having Katya go to Mai to try and repair her or at least mark her and send a drone or two her way.@DarkRecon

Everyone. I also thought about doing a convo of sorts with Mai and those around Joppa or those that hear her comm. It's just one of those moments where the action stops, like is Super Robot Wars/Taisen, where the action stops and characters start talking.

I thought that maybe Mai tries the old Gundam Wing "self-detonate" to try to take the Cruxi squad with her but perhaps those around her try to talk her out of it. Just a thought if people want to post stuff other that making their moves/actions.
