She would nod at the barmaid for leaving the bottle sipping her drink happily. She had nothing better to do. Not to mention she had the coinage to pay for the liqour she has had and will have. The obnoxious talk from the small fairy boy fading intowhite noise as she start to focus on other conversations.
Her mind focusing on the conversation the barmaid was having with the strange looking man she assumed was human due to his structure. Though it was a few days, she thinks, ago her mind went back to the soilder she met. How he while structured well like a man was nothing but one. Something different. Exciting.

Off topic she missed most of he conversation. A lady walked into where she assumed the kitchen was with a stack of plates that was higher than her bill length. It wasn't the worst she had seen someone carrying.

Catching the last bit of the two from earilers conversation they mentioned two men. Neither feature the description of the soldier, but she imprinted the names with descriptions in her mind. Finishing down her thing of alcohol. She realized a hangover with more alcohol probably wasn't the best of ideas but poored herself another glass. Woozily staring at the stairs.

Carver overheard the detective asking the bar maiden some questions about the place, and he slinked over, as much as he could slink in his drunk and hungover state, to listen. He didn't notice the chair his knee suddenly knocked out of the way. He saw a man supporting a blue pixie who seemed very drunk, talking to the girl who had finished reading over food. He sat down in the table closest to where the detective and the bar maiden were talking, and pretended to be minding his own business while eavesdropping. She's only been working for a day? Wow, she seems to know the place well. He strained to listen over the racket from the hammered pixie. From the bar maiden's minimalist description of "a rich looking guy in a fancy suit," Carver pictured the owner, Dorian, as a clean-shaven man with sharp features and slicked-back salt-and-pepper hair, standing tall in a shiny purple suit. He imagined the bar maiden's boss, Clay, as a large man donning a buzz cut, with broad shoulders supporting large muscles under a black T-shirt. How does she know all this stuff? He curiously listened for more information.

'They sound like real characters. Do they live in this establishment?' Hardwick continued scribbling notes in his journal. Once, his handwriting was neat and disciplined; the script of a man of literacy. But as the neurosis and the drink slowly took their toll on him, so too had it on his writing. His script was a rough and almost indecipherable scrawl and, not unlike Hardwick, a shell of its former self. But he liked it that way. In a poetic way, the chaos of his writing reflected the chaos of his life - and besides, it was harder for prying eyes to glean information from his notes.

Speaking of prying eyes... Just off to the right of the bar, Hardwick noticed from thr corner of his eye another of the patrons sitting just within earshot. The man was doing a rather poor job of eavesdropping on the conversation - he'd knocked over a stool trying to move in closer, and was casting one too many quick glances in their direction. Terror began to seep slowly into his core like a creeping chill. Did they follow me here?

Hardwick leaned in close to Ayeka and lowered his voice to a barely audible whisper as he slipped her a few more dollars. 'We're being watched. Another whiskey sour, but this time for the gentleman alone at the table over there. Tell him it's from me, and that I'm onto him.'

Willow laughed at the strange man and pet her stomach, "I ate a lot of it, but the cooks will always find more, without fail," she turned to the side and glanced down at her thinness, "though I don't know where it goes from there," she added, throwing an evil grin Tic's way. Turning back to face Ben, "I've been here a while, left for a little 'vacation' and now I'm back" she said, putting air quotes around 'vacation'. She had come back a very different person, but she found herself enjoying this newfound personality she had become.

Ayeka is thinking she lied about being here for a day, she been here more than several days. To her nobody really needs to know how long she is going to stay here for. "I don't know where they live at nor if they are staying here." Ayeka answers as she is mixing up the whiskey sour. She is thinking this dectective is trying to dig for personal information. She walks over to Carver's table and sits the glass on his table. "The dectective bought you a drink, do you know him by any means to you?"

Carver heard the bar maiden say she didn't know where Dorian and Clay were. That was unfortunate. There was a lull in the conversation, and Carver looked up in surprise as the bar maiden suddenly put a drink in front of him. From the detective? Why? Oh, it doesn't matter, the more the better. He took the drink. "I don't know him, but tell him I said thanks." He drank a few sips, enjoying the sourness. This detective guy had good taste.

Ben crossed his arms and tilted his head, examining her like a detective would a crime scene, squinting slightly. "Maybe you work it all out like me?" he asked, though it was clear he was just as much talking to himself as he was this girl. It was the reason Ben was so skinny. People often asked him how he could eat so much and be so lean, and he just exercised it off. He blinked and look back up at her when she turned to him. I wasn't checking her out, but that definitely could have been seen that way. His head stopped when she mentioned a vacation, and he blinked. "There's a...way out of here?" he asked. He wasn't keen on leaving or anything but, he had no idea how he got here in general, much less if there is a door that leads back to earth or some other realm.

Willow smirked again and nodded towards the door, "There is an entrance and an exit like most places, where you go once you're outside and how you get back inside all depends on what you want," she said while shrugging, she didn't know much about how she turned up here or found her way back only she found the tavern again whenever she got homesick, only daring to come back inside once she was sure she was ready to stay again. Mirroring Ben, she crossed her arms and tilted her head to the side which moved the neckline of her shirt ever so slightly revealing the tip of a black tattoo that disappeared back under the shirt towards her back. She didn't bother replying to his first comment, there didn't seem to be any need to, he was only half saying it to her anyway.@Pineappletumble @POOHEAD189

Hardwick carefully watched the scene unfold. His breathing came quick and shallow, his heart beating rapidly, a hand resting lightly on the revolver under his trenchcoat. Perhaps it wouldn't come to that, but if it did...

"The dectective bought you a drink, do you know him by any means to you?" He narrowed his eyes and his gaze met the eavesdropper; a gaze like an arrow that pierced through the assailant's skull and into the wall beyond. It was a threat conveyed through gesture alone. His gloved hard tightened on the revolver. Time seemed to slow.

"I don't know him, but tell him I said thanks." The man seemed genuinely thankful for the drink. Hardwick relaxed, and his expression softened. This guy's just another traveller, like myself. 'Heh.' He chuckled to himself bitterly as he turned back to his empty glass. 'Here I am, jumping at ghosts again.'

That evil grin, that stare, the was no doubt in Tics mind now she wanted to eat him. For the first time in Tic's life he sat there rooted in place with fear, he could barley fly in any coherent direction he was easy picking... Just like a...

To the average person Tic was just sitting in his seat spacing out right up until he blurted out "I'M NOT A BLUEBERRY!"

His face changed from one of mindless wounder to a mixture of fear, anger and a hint of sickness.

"I will do that for you," Ayeka says as she walks back the bar as she notices a slice of chocolate cream pie and some cola for her waiting for her. "You may overheard by the guy said thank you , are you okay you are sweating?" Ayeka ask as she takes a bite of her pie. To her it feels good to sit down to eat pie but she notices Hardwick empty glass. "Can I get you another drink or anything else?"

Carver was taking the last sip of the drink the detective had given him when he heard someone cry, "I'M NOT A BLUEBERRY!" He spit the drink out of his mouth, spraying the table as he failed to hold back his laughter. A drop or two managed to find its way through his nose and burned his nasal cavity, but he was too drunk to care. He tried in vain to stop giggling as he looked around for the source of the outburst. He eyes rested on the pixie. That makes sense. It's blue and can yell. Although that would be some demented blueberry. It's way too bright and glowing and it talks. I wouldn't want to eat that. Carver called back through his laughing fit. "No, you're not!"

Hardwick hadn't even noticed Ayeka return to the bar until she spoke, her soft voice startling him with a jump back to the present. 'Uh, yeah, sorry. Just mistook him for someone else.' He stopped himself from adding 'Or something else.' The barmaid seemed innocent and well-meaning. She didn't need to know of the horrors that lay beyond mortal comprehension.

He produced a handkerchief and wiped the cold sweat from his brow. His hand was visibly shaking with adrenaline-soaked anxiety. 'I'll... I'll have a straight whiskey - actually, make that a double.' He looked back at the drunk in the meantime, watching as he laughed at the fairy-man's latest outburst. Maybe his table should be the next port of call.

Willows eyes flicked to Tic, he seemed very concerned and he was apparently not a blueberry. She shook her head and twisted a simple copper band on her right pinky, "No?" she said sadly, "that's too bad," she said once again looking at Tic, mischief back in her eyes. She heard the other man laughing at him and felt somewhat bad for Tic, she was, after all, responsible for his fear. She reached her left hand out to place it on Tics shoulder, "I won't eat you," she said sincerely, trying to make eye contact, "I promise." She thought his outburst was amusing, but it was not the reaction she wanted to draw. @POOHEAD189 @Pineappletumble @arca9

"I'M NOT A BLUEBERRY!"
The Fairy boys newest outburst woke her from the long very cheaty, on her part, staring contest she had been having with the stare case. Her glass still half way full she had been fairly off in her own world.

With a swivilin gaze she looked around. It seemed the trechcoat toting man from before was still there. He seemed nervously releaved for the reason she, stupidly yes, didn't catch. Due to the aformentioned contest.
The conversation with the fairy boy, Tic, if she remembered right went on. The girl aperently wasn't going to eat him.

She could say it would be the spectical of the day. Quite amusing to see the skinny girl scarf down the annoying blue drunk. Alas it wouldn't be today she gets to witness such a gory spectical.

Her hair, from its blonde state has slowly been changing darker the more intoxicated she got. Every sip added on to that total. She knew when to stop herself. Wondering if it was nessicary or if she could rent a room from someone here. She knew they had them.

She would tie her hair back messily. Disliking the fact it hung in her face. Showing off the edges of a pair of wings. Tattooed across the top of her back and neck. Black and blonde strands of hair covering most of it. Her gaze wandering back to the trenchcoat sporting fella. He could be up to something. Everyone was to be treated as suspicious until she met them. @gohKamikaze

Ayeka could not help it but laugh at Tic's outburst, she chokes on her pie. She swallows quickly to get it down. She pours Hardwick a glass of whiskey making it a double as he ask for it. She notices the chick who is still drinking vodka coming to the bar, Ayeka guess she wanted to me the guy in the trench coat. She sips on her glass of cola as she went back eating her slice of pie. She wonders if she still look suspicious to anyone or she mix into the crowd.

Her mirroring him had him chuckling before he noticed the barest whisper of her tattoo. He had to admit he was curious about this girl. The fact that she seemed peculiar in an endearing way, but mostly for how she effected his buddy Tic. He wanted to question her more on how the hell people got to and from the Tavern, but for now...

Tic screaming that he wasn't a blueberry got everyone's attention it seemed like. Ben approached him, now at his and Willow's side. "Buddy, trust me. She won't eat you. You're too big for that, and too drunk for this...ok?" he said, unable to help his smile. He looked passed the two and waved to the crowd, mouthing 'nothing to see here' to them as they looked.

Tic wasn't too convinced by the woman alone, telling him that she wasn't going to eat him was precisely what some one who was going to eat he would say to him... His eyes narrowed and he might have even tried something stupid if it wasn't for Ben's reassuring presence. Taking a wild look around the room he spun in place till he was facing Ben again and lent in to whisper.

"What am I too drunk for?" his tone almost sounded like he believed he was the model of an upstanding sober member of society.

"A lot of things." Ben chuckled, giving an amiable smile. "Like driving for instance. Or, say, too drunk to know if someone is going to devour you whole. But see?" he said, patting Tic's shoulder, using his other hand to 'present' Willow so to speak, speaking to his friend like a savvy business man or confident lawyer presenting a case. "Her mouth is way too small to eat you, and you have my word I'd protect you."@Pineappletumble@SkeletonShadow

He quietly entered the establishment and made his way to one of empty tables, avoiding eye contact. He wasn't sure how exactly he got here, but as of late, he wasn't too sure of anything, really. He just wanted some rest. A minute. Hour.
Eternity.

"Actually, a minute should suffice" - he quietly mumbled to himself, lowering his head, hiding his face under a blonde mass of hair.
