The experts decided that the vest way to make the experiment work was to put the couples in a hotel together. But it couldn't just be any hotrl. It had to be like a mini city. They wanted they couples to live as normal as possible during the experiment. But the also wanted tgem all in the same place. One where their interactions could be documented and they would have access the the experts ant tine they needed. It wouldn't be normal but they agreed that the settimg couple help the marriage succeed.

Jillian was ecstatic, her heart weightlessly dancing in her chest to a beat she hadn't known before, though one could hardly call it love. She had been waiting as patiently as she could for the moment she would meet a stranger whom of which she would join in wedlock, her hands fumbling in her lap, slowly chipping her finely manicured nails which she had worked so hard on perfecting, along with the rest of her wedding attire.
Love was something that seemed strange to think of, longing was a more appropriate term, but what was she really longing for?

Perhaps it was just to show someone her amazing fashion sense? Or having someone see her at all without a disapproving look, like her parents? She frowned deeply at the thought; Her parents no longer looked upon Jillian as the daughter they so proudly spoiled with love and approval, but rather an alien, estranged and pushed away. It was no surprised they wouldn't show to her wedding. She had no one, not her parents, not her old friends from high school, and being an only child with no other recent relatives to contact, she would have no guests of her own to show.

Jillian shook her head, holding her chin in the air as she adjusted her posture, wanting to extrude pure confidence for who ever her match was, after all, this was a her day, she ought to be ready for it with a smile. She pulled a small mirror from her Hello Kitty purse to examine her outfit, which was a flowery, powder-blue sundress made to be light and elegant, with her long, blonde hair done up in a braided bun shaped like a rose. Her face was lightly contoured with winged eyeliner which took a ridiculous amount of time to get without her ending up looking like a raccoon. Some may think putting on make-up was easy, but no' it was an art that took years to master, especially if one was to look as good as her. She was a the Yoda of make-up. Jillian giggled to herself with the thought.

As the time neared for the ceremony to start, she coated her lips with watermelon lipgloss, rubbing them together, humming 'here comes the bride' as she observed the magnificent building in which she sat in.

Vincent adjusted his collar for the nth time in the few minutes he was in his suit and tie. It wasn't because he was nervous, just because he never preferred these kinds of formal attire before. He looked at himself in the mirror and then his eyes travelled back down to his hands as he clenched it.

Was this the right choice? To agree with his parents to do something like marrying a stranger? Those kinds of questions filled his mind as he continued to stare at himself.

He quickly shook his head. Now wasn't the time to be hesitating! Even if the experiment fails, it's fine. Even if they don't end up together, it's fine. Vincent doesn't mind either way; he'll go back to his way of life just like before, this was just an experiment anyway. If anything, he'll find a good friend with the other person.

Looking at his wristwatch, he sighed. The ceremony was about to start huh? That was pretty quick. He placed both of his hands behind his head and then began taking deep breaths. He smiled at himself before departing the room and heading for where the ceremony would be taking place.

Time to meet his maker... or well, his bride, so to say.

Standing in the hotel lobby, Tony checked his phone again, even though he knew nothing would be there. He had tried to invite his mother and her family to the wedding; he sent invitations, called them, sent texts and emails, did everything short of flying out to Japan himself to get them to come. He wasn't sure how he felt about the lack of response. He knew from the start that they didn't want anything to do with him, they'd completely ostracized him for the last nine years of his life, but what kind of person would he be if he hadn't invited his mother to his wedding?
He locked his phone and put it back in his pocket. Part of him was glad they wouldn't be here; that much baggage and drama would have massively complicated an already crazy day for him. He wanted closure, of course, but he wanted a fresh start even more. With a sigh, he headed off to his room so that he could start getting dressed and ready for the wedding.

Victor tightened his tie as he looked at himself in the mirror. His hair was simply styled, cut slightly shorter than usual to show off it's volume and frame his face nicely. He was wearing just a bit of makeup; nothing noticeable, of course, just a bit to make his skin seem more even. After all, a few paparazzi photographers would "just so happen" to be in attendance, so he had to look his best for not just his bride, but for the cameras (though he wasn't very pleased about the latter). He heard the door open behind him, and lifted his head to see who was there; it was his grandfather.
The old man offered a small smile. "Seems you're ready early. Excited?" he asked.
Victor nodded, turning fully to face him and leaning back against the counter. "I think so. I never thought I'd get married, so doing it under such an unusual circumstance... it feels a little odd."
"Don't think too much about it. Your grandmother and I only knew each other for four months before we got married, and we were together for thirty years. This isn't really so different from that."
"Mm. Perhaps." Victor checked his watch; not too long until the ceremony.
"And even if it doesn't work out," John continued, smirking mischievously, "it'll make a great headline."
Victor rolled his eyes. "I suppose."

Cassandra was sitting in the washroom, combing her hair and humming a little tune to herself. She had just seen her girlfriend, Duniva, for the last time until after the first year. It didn't bother Cassandra that her own girlfriend wouldn't be attending her wedding. After all, that would just cause way too much drama given how possessive Duniva was. But it was Duniva who had given the okay for her to do this, so it bothered her none. So long as they got to see each other again and Duniva would still love her, Cassandra had no issue with any of this.

A sigh leaves Cassandra's mouth as she sets the brush down and picks up her phone, which was an old razor phone. She saw no need for smart phones because she always wanted to look at the beauty of the world around her rather than down at some silly screen all day. Cassandra opened up her messages and looked at them. Of course, her friends were just now getting here for the ceremony. Having no real family of her own, Cassandra only invited her truly close friends, which consisted of Duniva's older brother and his family, and her martial arts teacher, Kiadi. It wasn't by any means a large group of people, having a count of only five people in all, but they were who she loved with all her heart and she so wanted them to be there.

As for how Cassandra felt about the whole marrying a stranger thing, she could only say that she was excited. She wasn't scared or nervous, just excited. Trying new things was one of Cassandra's favorite things to do, especially when it was a huge adventure such as this.

Cassandra's heart raced a bit as she noticed the time. The ceremony was starting soon and she felt like she was running a bit late. She always felt like that, to be fair, always preferring to arrive to events an hour early rather than on schedule. She figured she would likely be the first person down there aside from the people setting it all up. Besides, this gave her time to meet with her friends right before she had to go.

Micah nervously picked at her dress as the never-ending flurry of butterflies flew around in her stomach. Her mother watched her with a concerned look on her face. "Are you sure about this, honey? It's not too late. You don't have to go through with this if you don't want to." Taking a deep breathe, she gave her mother a small smile. "I...I'm sure. I think it'll be good for me. Taking a risk and all... A-and who knows? Maybe he will be my perfect match." As much as she tried to put on a brave front, her mother could see right through her but relented nonetheless. "Okay, if you're sure." Her mother kissed the top of her head before giving her a tight hug. She cupped Micah's face in her hands and gave her what seemed like a bittersweet smile. "You look beautiful, honey. I'll be in the front row, okay?" Micah nodded and watched her mother leave the room.

Now that her mother was gone she felt her nerves resurfacing again at full force. Micah was never one to take risks and the thought of marrying someone she hadn't even met before terrified her, but the idea of going through what her parents' went through terrified her even more. She just really hoped everything would work out. Glancing at the clock she saw that it was almost time for the ceremony. Micah checked herself in the mirror one last time. Her mother had really outdone herself with Micah's hair and make-up. She had never thought of herself as anything but average and for once she thought she looked quite pretty. She took another deep breath. This was it. Her father was going to walk her down the aisle and then she was going to be married to a complete stranger.

Everyone would be sent to a changing room when they arrived. They would be instructioned to change and get ready. They would he offered assistance if they needed it. The weddings would be held in whatever number the couples were pulled out of a hat. Jillian and Tony were the first couple to be pulled out of the hat. A short man knocked on Tony's door.

By this time Tony had already put on his suit and was almost ready for the ceremony. He was surprised to hear a knock at the door, but thought it might be his dad and he opened it. Instead of his father, a diminutive man was standing before him. "Um. Can I help you?" he asked.

"Hello sir. My name is Fred. I will show you the way to the Chapel. The minister asked me to make sure that you had your ring for your bride and a gift for her. He wanted to know if you had wrote your own vows or would like him to say the ones written for the experiment?" the little man explained.

Tony briefly searched his pockets for the ring, pulling out a small black velveteen box with a simple but elegant engagement ring in it, then withdrawing a slightly larger white box with two gold wedding bands in it. He had decided to keep things simple and traditional, but still very classy. "I have everything here." Tony replied. "Can I read the experiment's vows? I never got a copy, I'd like to see them."

The smaller man nodded. He handed the other man a could of the vows that had been written for the experiment. They read:
"Do you _____ promise to walk by _______ side forever. Do you promise to love, help and encourage him/her in all that she/he does. Do you promise to take time to talk to him/her, listen to him/her, and care for him/her? Will you share him/her laughter and tears? Will you become him/her partner lover and best friend? Do you take ______ to be your husband/wife for now and forever more?"

The smaller man lead Tony through the hotel. The rooms had been spread out in hopes of keeping the participants from talking to each other before the wedding. They didn't want anyone to get a chance to talk until all the marriages had been preformed. The experts thought that this would prevent disappointmen's from happening. Fred the the man to the Chapel where family and friends would be gathered. Then he headed off to the bride's room where he would repeat the process.

While waiting, Cassandra looked at herself in the mirror again. No matter what she seemed to do, she could never get her hair right on her own. Thinking for a moment, she came up with a solution. Anzu was downstairs, she could help her. Cassandra picked up her phone and started typing in it, texting the man who she saw as a brother about her little hair issue. Hopefully, the people running this whole thing would let her friend help. She had denied the help of the people working here because she preferred to do these things without the help of random strangers. But just in her luck, a friend had just arrived who could help her with her rats nest she called hair on top of her head.
After a seemingly short wait, there was a soft knock at the door. Cassandra went over and opened it up, happy to see that it was who she called for. On the other side of the door was a small, auburn haired woman who looked incredibly young. She had freckles across her face that complemented her hair and helped her eyes pop out a bit. "Please, come in Anzu," Cassandra said with a warm smile.
Anzu stepped in and smiled brightly at Cassandra before hugging her tightly. "Oh, Cassandra, it has been far too long dear," the small woman said gleefully as she held her friend tightly. "How are you dear?"
"Can we talk while we do my hair? Forgive me, I have no idea when they are coming to take me to the wedding."
"Oh, of course, dear. I am so sorry." Anzu and Cassandra walked over to the mirror, Cassandra taking a seat facing forward. Anzu picked up a brush and inspected Cassandra's messy head before finally finding a place to start.
"How is your husband?" Cassandra asked, keeping still as Anzu worked on her hair. "He's alright. We recently had our... final conversation... with his father." The air seemed to grow thick with a mixture if emotions, ranging all across the spectrum.
"It needed to be done. Antonio will be much happier now that he's had closure," Cassandra reassured her friend. "It's just a shame Duniva wasn't there to give him some as well."
Anzu smiled and continued her work. "Yes, well... it's over that's all I care about." The brush got stuck in Cassandra's hair, causing Anzu to force the brush through.
"Ow!" Cassandra exclaimed, wincing at the harsh tug.
"Sorry!"
"You're fine dear, the fault belongs to this disastrous hair." Cassandra straightened herself in the chair. "What about the children? Are they doing alright?"
"Oh, they're doing wonderfully. Takumi just got his first major role in a stage play at our city. He's very excited for it. And Sirath has been working with her father." Anzu finished the last stroke of Cassandra's hair and took another full look at it. "There. You look as beautiful as ever."
Cassandra inspected he hair herself, admiring the job her friend had done. "Thank you so much, dear," she said, standing up and facing Anzu.
"Don't mention it, love. I'm so excited, you're getting married! I am so glad I got to help out in even a small way such as this." The small woman hugged her friend again, squeezing her tightly.

@KatherinWinterJillian couldn't tear her eyes from her room window, it was a magnificent sight to take in. She always had those types of daydreams where she would be floating on tropical waters, drinking fruity drinks in those cute coconut cups you saw in movies, and having the sun beams supplying her with vitamin D as well as a nice tan( Though she often burnt easily, making it difficult for her to tan ). She sighed happily as she stared off at the surrounding sea.

Once she heard the knock on her door, Jill was ripped away from those comfortable thoughts, her focus turning from the scenery to her reflection in the window. She gasped with boggled blue eyes as she saw staticy hair flying from her rose-bun. She must have been scratching at her head while anticipating the ceremony.

"Just a minute!" She called out sweetly, her voice was soft, even as she called out for whoever was at her door to hear.

She hurriedly combed up the few hairs that stood out from her up-do, spraying an extra coat of hairspray to keep it in order, refusing to look anything less than perfect for her wedding. Even if her spouse didn't care, she did.
Jill skipped to the door, opening it to greet the person with friendly smiles, though her smile dissapeared when she had to look down, not expecting such a short man. She smiled again, laughing nervously.

"Sorry! Last minute fix-up." She waved her hand near her head. "Hair just never listens no matter what products you treat it with, am I right?"

Fred smiled up at the woman. He was used to surprising people. Few expected a man of his size. "I am sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your hair miss. It is time for you to head to the chapel. I will show you the way but for we head that way I need to ask you if you have your ring and gift for the groom. Did you write your vows or did you want to use the ones that the experts wrote?"

@KatherinWinterJillian shook her head with a larger grin on. "No problem! I have it under control now... Um... Yes, I do have the ring and gift!" She hurried back into her room to grab her Hello Kitty purse which held her required items for her spouse, walking back out and holding it up to her chin as she sifted through the contents, double-checkng inside to make sure she forgot nothing important.

She hoped that her spouse wouldn't turn out to be allergic to the ring she got, which was silver with emerald beads surounding the band, as she knew a few people allergic to certain metals before. It was a simple and gorgeous ring that wasn't typical diamond, plus Jill believed the superstition behind emeralds, where they would bring luck to married couples- though they were seen as a sort of aphodisiac as well. Jill's ears turned red as she shived that wild thought out of her head. The other gift in her bag, which was in a cute yellow box with sparkly, green ribbon tied into a perfect bow on top, held a dream catcher she had made herself. She forced a giggle back, thinking her spouse might think she was a superstitious zealot of sorts. She crossed her fingers and hoped other wise...

"All ready to go!" Jill smiled at the short man. "Um... I totally forgot about the vows... I guess I can use the experiment's vows?"

Fred nodded. The little man lead her through the halls. He didn't have to worry so much about her seeing anyone since her groom was already in the chapel. "So you have someone to walk you down the aisle?" he asked gently. He hadbt seen any male family members waiting by her room. But that front mean that there wasn't someone waiting outside the chapel. If she had no one and didn't want to walk down the aisle alone he would volunteer his services.

@KatherinWinter "No," Jillian shook her head, looking to her feet that shifted uncomfortably in her heels. "I didn't have anyone to come to the wedding either."

Her stomach sank like she swallowed a stone. It was difficult not to have her parents approval or support, even after all the horrid things they said to her. she doubted they even cared about her happiness. Jill did what she could to suppress any depressive thoughts from taking deep breathes through her nose, to reminding her of the cognitive therapy she went through when she was diagnosed. she refused to let anything spoil this day of adventure, not her parents for being unsympathetic twits, or memories of her abusive ex who drove her to be miserable and lonesome.

"I'd actually prefer to walk myself, if that's alright. I'm not really into the whole 'giving away your daughter' thing. It's almost kinda creepy giving away your daughter like a possession..."
