Ah, that sounds familiar, ClocktowerEchos. I might consider a Clone Wars clone, then, to be the "old man" of the group who has seen some shit. :P

Edit: Here he is! I can't wait to get started!

I may or may not edit in the fact that Jet has a thick brummie accent, it would remind me of one of my favourite side characters from Red Dwarf.

No not Lister, the bloke who kept going on about the recuperation room in back to reality. Also I thought Lister's accent was a little more southern then Brummie.

@Halvtand - Excellent! Feel free to add.

@Gat Izen - I like it. However, clone trooper armor would've been out of use in the Empire by this point in time.

@Three Five - Wondrous application. Feel free to add it to the CS.

@Crossfire - Looks good, solid application, feel free to add.

Cassie "Chassis" Andurell

Stormtrooper classification: Stormtrooper.

Designation: CT-7659

Military Rank: Private

Nickname: "Chassis"

Race/species: Human

Planetary Origin: Ruan

Gender: Female

Armor appearance: Common Stormtroopers are not allowed to alter their armor. They are supposed to be identical to make their numbers look infinite.

Appearance: Cassie has blonde hair that she gathers up inside the depths of her helmet. She is slender and willowy thanks to her time in the fields of Ruan supervising the many droids.

Personality: Cassie is very outgoing and loves the fact she's finally off-world. The best way to describe her is "bubbly". She is finally seeing the stars and exploring the galaxy. She can't wait until her tour is over so that she can spend her earnings on a ship.

History: Cassie was born on Ruan, an Agriworld where few ever amounted to anything. She grew up tending to the fields with the help of a half dozen droids but dreamed of getting offworld and becoming something more. Unfortunately, options were limited and she ended up enlisting for a four year tour.

Cassie is newly graduated, one of tens of thousands of barely trained, disposable soldiers paid a pittance of a wage. A pittance she apparently only gets if she survives four years. The Emperor knows how to cut corners.

Notes: Chassis has some limited skill with making repairs on droids and vehicles thanks to her growing up on a farm. This is what gave her her nickname.

@Assallya - All around, rather well-done application. Congrats on actually finding a good female stormtrooper pic, too! Feel free to add your CS to the growing list.

@Gat Izen - I would recommend just changing it, due to Imperial standards. Remember that you can modify alot of the more modernized armor. While i'd usually allow it, according to the canon, they phased it out after order 66.

Actually, after doing some research I'm rather shocked at how Stormtroopers have changed over the last twenty years. I don't know why. So many other things have been changed over the years. There is no longer any mention of conscription and now the troopers are supposedly all "elite". My question then... is what do the non-elite troops that are the majority of your forces look like?

When I was growing up, the best explanation for why Luke and Han were still alive is that Stormtroopers were poorly trained and relied upon overwhelming numbers.

The Imperial army is actually fairly capable. They have to be to keep expanding it's borders and keep the keep. the Stormtroopers are more of a faceless and nameless symbol of Imperial might. The hammer of the Emperor's will given form. It has less to do with being elite and more that people perceive them as such. the intimidation factor is part of the key to the Stormtrooper corps successes.

The true power of the galactic Empire lies with it's navy which is by far it's biggest military powerhouse. It's ships are arguably the largest and most destructive ever built in the Star wars universe.

In reality the storm troopers were 'par for the course' at best. They were originally the remnants of the old clone army. But as they started to age and certain problems/concerns with mass cloning became more apparent the empire transitioned away from clones(who were being churned out in ever shittier quality anyway) to willing volunteers.

Exactly my point Ollum. Wookiepedia, however, lists all stormtroopers as being "elite", that they are all superb marksmen and... well... a yadda yadda. Your statements are what I grew up with! The Imperial Star Destroyers would bomb the crap out of everything and then the Stormtroopers would walk into the rubble, taking on their enemies with ten to one odds or more just like at Tarsis.

(I should point out that my question, or this resulting discussion, has absolutely no bearing upon nor is it intended as a commentary on the current thread or any of its players!)

I love the Death Star. It was so pointless. The Imperial Fleet was much more capable of wiping out a civilization.

In the books and other sources they actually talk about that bit. The Imperial navy kept waht was left of the empire together almost singlehandedly and many of the moffs and admirals blamed the deathstars huge diversion of resources as the reason for the empire's fall. One death star could have built something like a dozen super star destroyers and alot of admirals were pissed about that.

The stormtroopers have changed a lot. Much of it due to the conflict between what the movies tell us about them (*Only imperial stormtroopers are that accurate" - Old man wan) and when we see (miss, miss, miss, miss).
My favourite theory is one I heard not long ago, and it centers around Darth Vader and his feeling toward his son. The main part is that whenever Luke is nearby Vader will use the force to mess with the stormtrooper's aim and cause them to miss. When he's not around, or busy fighting his son or the emperor or his own emotions and therefore is too occupied to do so, the stormtroopers are elite again.

So on the ship where Leia is captured they wipe the floor with the rebels.
On Tatooine, they are scary and professional.
On the deathstar they suck.
...
On cloud city things go south.
...
On Yavin 4 Han and Leia are surrounded and caught with relative ease...

It's not perfect, but I like it.

Anyway, the most important part of the imperial army is that it is heavily influenced by the old Roman empire. The stormtroopers (different kinds of legionaries) are EXTREMELY well-trained, but has only received their training under a very short time, most of the "training" is field-practice, ie slaughtering barbarians.
