Thank you to everyone who attended last night's Open Game Night. We had a wonderful turnout and it seemed like quite a few people left the event satisfied that they may have learned a thing or two about their fellow Guild members. It's also time for me to remind the site that next weekend, on August 20th, we will be holding a karaoke night. All members are welcomed to attend and all are welcomed to sing. I want to add them, but I need to get times and whoever is in charge of it. Once I get that, I'll be glad to start promoting it. I've been rather busy lately, so I've been forgetting to ask.

In light of recent events, I'll be taking away the sign-up form for karaoke night. Users will be free to come and go at their own leisure to sing a song or two with friends. More information regarding karaoke night will be posted Saturday morning. Hope to see you all there!

Additionally, I'll be updating the first post regarding information about Guild Movie Night. Held on the Discord server on the "guildmovienight" channel, users will be free to stop by on Tuesdays and Fridays at around 5 PM PST to catch a flick and discuss it with fellow members of the server. I think that could actually be pretty fun. It could also be done during any given time or made into an event as well. Did you have any specific thought as to which direction you wanted your suggestion to take?

@Cynder Not really. I just know that I have friends that I met via Minecraft and we skype quite a bit. We'd play all sorts of games but TOS was the best. If we had a large enough number of people we could do some sort tournament.

Yeah, I can see that. ToS is a welcomed game that can be played at any given time like Cards Against Humanity or BGO. I'll see about setting up a tournament of some sort in the future.

At the request of some our friends from other timezones, Karaoke Night has been extended into "Karaoke Weekend"! Karaoke Weekend will be begin as soon as this post is published here on the Guild and will end at exactly 11:59 PM on Sunday night in the EST timezone. Karaoke Weekend will be held between the Events voice channel and the Events chat channels. All members of the Guild are encouraged and welcomed to join!

Because I did away with the forms earlier this week, newcomers should have no issue jumping in with the weekend festivities. This also allows for previously registered users to no longer be restricted by one or two songs. Users can pop in and out all weekend to sing more than one song. There are currently no rules on what songs can and cannot be sung and how many people can be singing at once. We ask that you do not make us enforce any rules. If you have any questions regarding the event, don't be afraid to drop me a PM or leave it here in the thread.

I did away with the forms a few days ago. Karaoke Night is Karaoke Weekend now. You can sing whenever you have a free moment by popping in and out of the Event voice channel. Too many people were requesting this and I made sure to pull through for them!

Thank you to everyone who took part in our Karaoke Weekend! The exact turnout is unknown even to me, but a lot of people seemed to have quite a lot of fun prepping for the event and I'm assuming that most took part! Not only were we able to hear our fellow Guild member's lovely voices, but we were also able to hear their lovely singing voices as well!

Our next event will be our Guild Labor Day Party which will be held on August 27th. There is little planned for this event and that is why I would like to ask the Guild for their ideas and suggestions regarding it. If anyone has ideas or suggestions involving the Guild Labor Day Party, then just drop me a PM or leave it here in the thread. Thank you!

We could always play games. That is an easy fallback. There could even be some form of tournament for the varying games. Other than that I have no ideas other than doing some of the stuff we already do for events.
