Ah, I didn't realise you'd created him in that way, I can see how the fire and ice thing might be a bit out of theme.

Maybe just go for kinetic impacts and shielding? Hell, he could even mimic Fury's powers to an extent, perhaps a side effect of the World Machine getting a massive dose of his ability when Fury stabbed him.

Well I've had an idea kind of along those lines, but not in that particular way.

I've been thinking of replacing the fire and ice with kinetic pulses and barriers yeah, but entirely based in movement. Rather than an ability that can be done with a thought. Something befitting the kind of person that he is, much more reactive than passive.

I'm looking back on a character who I used back in my Deviantart Roleplaying days, a guy whose whole thing was kinetic energy. Haven't thought of him in years but I realize that combining the two into one character might be exactly what Dunnaman needs.

A kinetic blast ability would be fitting, as his body's way of mirroring Fury's own blasts of energy. But something like Hit's punches from Dragon Ball Super, where his punches project blasts of energy every time he throws a punch. A subconscious remnant of Fury maybe.

A barrier ability would be useful but coming up with a way for him to use it would be difficult.

Maybe an extension of his passive energy absorption, since it would still de-energize matter in the same way.

Perhaps he either;
A- Absorbs the energy from incoming threats.
or
B- Repulses incoming threats with a burst of energy.

Man, to think, the whole reason that Kanitah exists is because of a story I read online.

And the whole reason I'm thinking about this is because that story has recently been made into a visual novel.

A beautiful story, I know it well.

The ending almost had me in manly tears.

Yes, Kanitah was created shortly after I had read that for the first time, I was inspired to make the perfect punchy guy. The best punchy character whose thing was being strong and making himself stronger.

I'm gonna really sit down and think about this, if you've got any ideas I'm more than receptive.

Well, Fury has a punching ability of sorts where in his Unbridled State he imbues his martial strikes with additional kinetic power, sort of unconsciously. Dunnaman could probably mimic something like that, maybe through the medium of his mace? He could even have inherited some of Fury's rage mode perhaps, I don't know if the Void or Fury's type of Antireen control is particularly contagious. Does the World Machine have any sentience at all? Could it be pissed off at him?

Well, he could fill the metal that surrounds the cube with energy. It'd take a shit ton of energy, since the cube matches his own absorption and repulsion. To overtake it he'd have to do it quickly and start at the handle, so when he strikes it'd quickly move up to the head and then strike with an explosive force.

Alright so, the material that fuels the World Engine AND Starstruck is a material called Dorirum. It's made from skin flakes knocked off of The Architect, who created the Multiverse that Dunnaman comes from. There are multiple Multiverses, for simplicity's sake. Since many roleplayers have a multiverse of their own. When Kanitah's spirit was brought along in the space train, that material was brought with him into the multiverse that he is currently in. The same one that he was in when he met Fury for the first time.

Portals and space ships are the explanation for how he got there in the first place.

Now that Dorirum is naturally growing in THAT multiverse, he's managed to be given one of them. In Starstruck.

That explains how he's got it.

I suppose, at its barest, it would have some kind of mirror of The Architect's personality. Like a remnant of some thought process that the Architect has.

Considering The Architect is constantly at war with The Abyss, the force of entropy that is outside of all things, it might have some kind of beef with the Pseudo-Entropy of The Void's powers.

Yeah, I could see it reacting to the Void with anger in that sense, there's certainly similarities there.

One of the few natural abilities Fury has as part of Antireen control is the ability to detect energy and almost 'see' it around him. Might be interesting if Dunnaman obtained some part of this, it would allow him to percieve Fury in the way he is perceiving Dunnaman at the moment, in other words, with familiarity. Energy don't lie, sort of like woo-woo auras.

Like the rest of his abilities, it'd be accidental. Maybe a sort of physical reaction, like the way his hair moves. The way it floats unnaturally is a result of his ability, so maybe it reacts towards energy manipulators. Like flowing in the opposite direction of the user in response. So he'd be able to use it as a sort of compass rather than a direct point to point sensory system.

Edit: Even better, characters who absolutely swamp him in ability would cause his hair to no longer float. So a character in ultra-high or god tier would make his hair hang like natural hair.

Makes sense, more sensitivity to any sort of manipulation or mustering of energy (blanket term for all magic users) would make sense considering his death.

Maybe a shadow of the rings he used to have, as his body is so used to that format. They would be more of an aura projection rather than the same ability. He'd form pseudo-armor of kinetic energy in the locations where the rings used to be, maybe taking up the area where the rings were spaced out. So his hands would be covered so he could strike at energy blasts with just his hands instead of blowing his skin clean off. A defensive ability at its core, sort of like a reversal of the purely offensive rings.

It's up to you, I always saw the rings as sort of a physical manifestation of the otherwise internal world machine, but if Kanitah had that much of an attachment to them I guess they might carry through into Dunnaman's phyche.

Oh dude, Darligrov is one of the five most powerful words of power. His family line has that Armstrong thing of "Passed Down For Generations!"

The connection to the rings is rarely mentioned due to the fact that nobody asks, but the rings are part of his family's Flag. Yes, flag. High breed Pundambayan families equate to royalty, they've got flags and the like.

It's pretty deeply lodged in his psyche, in life he was proud to be born with the ability.

The five words are:
Darligrov (Dahr Lih Grove) - Obviously his former word and now his nephew's word.
Jaggar Roh (Jae Gahr Row)- The word spoken by his daughter and father in law. Shaped energy beam projection.
Kagrackahs (Kah graah kass) - Metal Plate generation. Surprisingly useful.
Toganakun (Toe Gaenae Koon) - Explosive pellet projection.
Soho (Sew Hoe) - Creates a field of absolute silence. Wielded by Drom Fortin Inar.

I convinced Tantalum to let me use one of his races as the one that saved him. AS WELL.

So my post will be up in a few minutes.

This sets up what might be his first high tier fight. If you'd be willing to fight him with Fury and he'd be willing to actually roleplay. I'm trying to get him back into it.

He's hit a slump where writing in general is just not appealing to him. I'm trying to convince him to at least do little things here and there to get him back into it.

Like recently forcing him out of his comfort zone and getting him to actually make a high tier character, stuff like that.

It's weird, he and I met and had little in the way of interaction.

I added him on skype and I didn't even speak to him for somewhere near a year.

One day I felt like talking with him, he and I hit it off and we've been friends ever since. Talk near every day.

I try to convince him every now and then to at least come back and chat with the folks on the guild, but it seems like a no-sell so far.
