Appearance
15 YEARS OLD â Standing at an average height of 5'8, Daisuke has the appearance of an average Japanese boy with a slim build upon first impression. With slightly messy brown hair and turquoise eyes, his bright smile is joined by expressions filled with youth and joy. Other than the regulated school uniform, he is often seen wearing an ordinary white jacket over a white t-shirt and a pair of jeans.
25 YEARS OLD â Within a decade, Daisuke has experienced large periods of growth; he has grown to a staggering height of 6'3 and sports a highly athletic build, no longer appearing very slim and frail. His chocolate brown hair has remained relatively unchanged for the most part, having only kept it grown out slightly longer and preferring to keep it at around the same length. His blue eyes retain their serene look.
Personality:
Daisuke is often considered to be too friendly towards every person he meets by others, rarely ever seen without a smile on his face and by his lonesome, almost always out and about with other people. Amiable and a fairly simple individual who wants nothing more but the happiness of others, he cherishes the bonds that he forms, and wishes for such connections to always be remembered through thick and thin. Although he doesn't consider himself as an athletic person, he is always eager to experience new things and enjoys relishing numerous hobbies. He is a bit of a clumsy and disorganized fellow, but doesn't mind if it brings smiles to the faces of his friends.
In contrast to his calm behavior underneath the benevolent disposition, houses a dark shade of his nice-guy personality that reveals itself when harm and danger finds its way towards someone that Daisuke knows. This intimidating and violent, almost-suicidal indignation drives him to protect his loved ones at any cost, be it at the expense of his or the other's suffering. He has a plethora of emotional issues deep down, and through a strained relationship with his father, he keeps everything bottled up until the opportunity presents itself for him to unleash his contained aggression.
Background:
Daisuke Honda, born in Aichi Prefecture, Japan, is (currently) the only son of Hajime and Satomi Honda (nee Shinobu), once having an older brother named Kenta. His family held connections to the largest and most infamous yakuza organization in the country through his father, a powerful member of said organization, and his mother who was a relative of the organization's boss. Four years into Daisuke's life, his father decided that he wanted to abandon the life of a gangster and sought to abandon the organization while revealing several critical pieces of information regarding the yakuza to the authorities and the general public. Once the boss caught wind of Hajime's intentions, he dispatched several yakuza members to their prefecture and 'send a message', kidnapping their two sons after school. The men proceeded to beat the five year old and eleven year old violently, to the point where Kenta stood up and provoked the men to fixate their attention on him and away from his little brother.
A powerless Daisuke watched as Kenta succumbed to the brutality of the beatings, and decided that it was enough to send a message for Hajime's traitorous intentions. Hajime and Satomi, after scouring the entire prefecture for Daisuke and Kenta, arrived back at their home to see their two bloodied sons sprawled before their home. Realizing that the boss was ruthless and unpredictable after mourning the death of their elder son, Hajime discussed with Satomi about leaving Japan behind and moving elsewhere for a better life, settling on the foreign waves of America. After a period of their son's recovery and the funeral of Kenta, they managed to dodge surveillance from the yakuza organization and land on a plan destined for the United States. At the last moment, Satomi decided to stay behind against her husband's wishes, seeking to 'tie up loose ends' with the boss, her relative.
Arriving within the borders of the United States, the traumatized boy was quick to repress the memory and start a new life. Daisuke struggled in learning the culture and language of the society at first, and even with the help of his fellow students and teachers who found the Japanese boy to be intriguingly interesting, it still took a few years to become accustomed to such a different environment. Time passed, and the innocent five year old had grown into the gregarious teenager that he is now; Daisuke was living a great life, had great friends, and not to mention a couple great lady friends here and there. All of it changed when one day, he saw a group of bullies assaulting one of his friends, and he stepped in to stop them, beating them all to a pulp and in actuality, almost killing them in the process until he was stopped.
Unfortunately, Daisuke fell out of favor from the school authorities and they were convinced that the teenager was the perpetrator behind the entire situation, quick to expel him instead of the usual suspension. It was then that his father decided that moving to Italy would be better for them, as it was a new experience and Daisuke would find that their society was more enjoyable, moving out of the United States shortly after and finding himself in yet another school full of strangers; well, at least for a few minutes.
Overview:
An ecstatic Japanese teenager with a life beset with fervent friendships, Daisuke Honda is quick as lightning in building bonds, and protecting bonds. Though not much of a fighter at first glance, his hidden potential festers like the aggression beneath his tender and undying smile.
