True Name: Is known by many names but is most known as 'The Boogeyman'.
Alias: Calamity is her preferred alias.
Age: Around 700
Gender: Her species is considered genderless, but Calamity likes to take a female form.
Race/Species: Calamity is a Boggart, which goes by countless other names as a creature of darkness and catastrophe.
Human Appearance: Calamity's human appearance is a female figure, donning a punk-rock tom-boy look with short ebony hair in a down mohawk, pale skin, and deep blue-grey eyes. Her human appearance is clothed by a leather or jean jacket, a rock band tank top, straight dark jeans and heeled boots.
Boggart Appearance:Calamity's true form is a shadowy void with two eyes that seem like nothing but distant white lights, standing tall and thin when idle. Her shadowy skin moves around on her skeletal shaped insides as if her skin weren't attached but instead worn like clothing.
Personality: As it is in a Boggarts nature, Calamity is troublesome, and chaotic, having urges to break rules and cause a disturbance amongst human civilization. In her more joyful moods she is a prankster and can be quite playful and jesting to others, she can, however, be quite sadistic and mean-spirited, and unable to feel empathy easily, making it extremely difficult to reason with her. Favoring to keep to herself, Calamity would rather work as a lone wolf and acts cruelly towards those who try and contain her. Calamity sees mankind as nothing but puppets being strung along, dancing for those holding a higher position in human society. Calamity wishes nothing more that to break the continuous wheel of order and law. Chaos is her philosophy.
Skills/Abilities: Calamity is able to disappear into and travel between shadows, though she must be completely covered for this to work. She is also able to bring others through the shadows with her, but she must be willing to bring said other. Though she has no reflection, Calamity can enter and exit any clear mirrors at will, but doing so may get herself trapped *(see misc)*. She can move along walls and ceilings easily and is resistant to pain, but not completely unable to feel it. She can shift between her true form and her human form easily, and can even shift half-way.
Miscellaneous: The more fear and darkness there is surrounding Calamity, the more powerful she is, though if she is unable to feed off fear for a long period of time she can be weakened. In sunlight or a strong enough man-made light can also weaken Calamity. Too much intense light can force her to shift to her true form unwillingly, eventually killing her. Moonlight has no effect whatsoever. *If she were to try and escape by going into a mirror in one room, she could be trapped if the room was closed off and all mirrors in the room were covered. After, if you wanted to take her with you while still in the mirror, you would have to take the mirror she entered, keeping it well covered, and making sure it did not crack or shatter during transportation, for this could injure or kill her*. Boggarts are affiliated with bugs, rodents, reptiles, amphibians, and most other crawly, slimy or disgusting small animals.
History:
Calamity came into existence when the bubonic plague was wreaking terror and death across the people of Europe in the 1300s, giving the young Boggart and endless buffet of distress and panic to feed off from. She ate the flesh of her first victim, which was a small human boy separated from his parents, commencing a sort of addiction in Calamity, an addiction to the taste of blood, fear, and havoc. This was part of a Boggart's being: to enforce destruction and pandemonium into the daily schedules of the more organized beings, like a spider, once in a while breaking the arranged lines of ants that scurry on to support their unending structure of a routined life. After centuries of torturing the human minds before hunting them down, Calamity first went overseas to the Americas on the Mayflower in the 1600s. Though she was not the first of her kind to live there, and like the battles fought between the Europeans and Native Americans, Calamity had to struggle against her distant kin as well as other creatures who leached off of human life. There was constant competition at first, but over time Calamity had out-witted her rivals, earning herself respect, as far as Boggarts go.
On December 18th, 2005 which is well remembered by Calamity, the Boggart had been stalking a 15 year-old riot girl who ran away from her home to hitchhike the highways to Las Vegas. Calamity had a idea of torturing the teen physically and mentally to sustain herself after figuring she could befriend the human girl, though her plans changed drastically. The girl introduced herself as Kendra, telling Calamity of philosophical anarchism and her rebellion to the formation and pressure of human society. The two discovered what they had in common: The ambition to break the chain of order. Calamity liked the girl and allowed her to live, keeping her true identity out of their friendship. A few short years past strengthening Calamity's bond with Kendra. She had cared for the human girl more than she realized, and though it seemed harmless at the time, Calamity's visits hadn't gone unnoticed by her kin, earning her threats and mistreatment. Things that would never affect Calamity before. Kendra was her ultimate weakness and it was known and frowned upon by her fellow Boggarts.
On April 1st, 2014, Kendra's body had been found brutally mutilated and left in a ditch at the side of the road. Human reports had stated it was some sort of wild animal that had butchered the young girl, but Calamity knew better than to listen to clueless humans. She realized deep down that out of 'fun' other Boggarts had maimed her after abusing her mind, because this would have been her doing if she had not liked the girl: the way the girl's flesh was treated yet not consumed, it was personal; Kendra was only killed to harm Calamity, and she was going to get revenge. She was going to go out with a bang. A big bang.
Calamity's opportunity for vendetta arose when word of an organization for hunting supernaturals spread like wild-fire. Most had dismissed it as being a practical joke, or as an organization that was more about looking intimidating but being too afraid to carry out their job. Calamity felt this a chance to find out the truth. In search of these hunters, Calamity heard the message asking for help. She revealed her message to Operation Shade, leaving a prank firecracker for them to find. Upon it's cackling explosion, a message was displayed with the remains, reading: 'I'm in'.
More About Boggarts
One of Earth's oldest and wellknown monsters is The Boggart, or rather as a name more recognized, The Boogeyman; This name is commonly known in the children's stories told by their parents of the monster that lurks in the closet or underneath the bed of a misbehaved child. The stories state that the said creature devours the child alive if they are not in bed, asleep, on time. These stories are somewhat true. Boggarts go after those unwanted and uncared about by society. Most of those abducted are children or teens who have run away from home, but their physical bodies are not the only thing consumed. A Boggart lives off of the fear of a human, eventually draining them of their soul before eating their flesh and bones. A Boggart can live a long time without eating but avoiding to do so will weaken them. Cunning and troublesome in nature, Boggarts are also known to pull pranks that are deemed impossible to set up by humans. They are affiliated with bugs, rodents, reptiles, amphibians, and most other crawly, slimy or disgusting small animals; A way to tell if a Boggarts home is nearby is to find large infestations of such creatures. A Boggart is classified under the species of Fairy, and live alone, separate from others of it's own kind as well as other 'folklore' creatures.
Gilligan has aramaic scriptures tattooed over their body as well as strange circular designs similar to the ones found in crop circles.
Six wings of the Seraphim:
Crest of the Seraphim:
Age: They do not remember, but they look around 17.
Personality: Inquisitive, virtuous, bluntly honest. Gilligan is a quick thinking strategist who remains loyal to her instincts to protect the innocent and slay the corrupted. Gilligan is intelligent and a fast-learner with survival instincts and a good judge of honesty and integrity.
Abilities: Because of their wings, Gilligan is well balanced, agile, and has swift reflexes, able to outrun (or fly) the average being and dodge unwanted attacks. Their skin and wings are tougher than leather and extremely durable, even when struck with a shard object, it will fail to cut the skin.
As all Seraphim do, Gilligan uses Angelic weaponry that are forever bound to their soul. The weapons have magical properties that make it a tool unique only to the Seraphim such as being destructible and can slice though most physical materials, including diamond, making the only useful strategy to use against a battle with a Seraphim is using means of magic, specifically Dark Magicks, as Seraphim tend to have a better resistance to Holy and Light Magicks. (See 'About Seraphim' to learn weaknesses)
Justitia:
This Angelic weapon is a foldable bow with magically installed incendiary and explosive arrows that come from the circular ammo holders at each side (shown below) which extends two arrows at once back to the bowstring, instantly ready to fire. However this bow does not work like a typical human weapon which would, with a few special perks to this incredible deadly weapon.
The arrows can be made to rapid fire unextended arrows at the same speed as an automated machine gun with faster acceleration. The only action required to utilize this feature is the hold back the bowstring and watch the unextended arrows fire away. Though this is a useful and lethal means of attack, the unextended arrows do not reach as far as the extended arrows, meaning if a long-distance shot is needed, an extended arrow must be loaded and manually fired.
Jerónima and Isabel:
History: Gilligan is a Seraphim that fell to the Earth, stricken with an amnesia that rid them of their memories, but not of their knowledge and experience, meaning they still know facts seemingly random to a mortal being, skills they have learnt in their unknown past, and of course, their angelic instincts. Gilligan knows of what she is, and her holy duty as a Seraphim. Having no memory of past personal event (though she has historical knowledge that is not commonly known, even for supernaturals) has no distressing effect on Gilligan, being deemed not important enough to them as much as their purpose to purify the Earth.
It had been only a few months since Gilligan fell from the Heavens, and since then they have been stalked, worshiped, hunted and suspected of being an alien, demon, and other strange explanations the mortals have made to involve themselves with Gilligan by varying organizations and cults such as government agents, religious zealots, supernatural hunters, and even other mystical creatures.
About Seraphim: To a Seraphim, there are only three types of beings: The Innocent, The Corrupted, and those few worthy to become a Seraphim; Hence, this peculiar alien race is known to be nearly extinct.
To become a Seraphim, it is required for one to lose their innocence all the while having a forgiving and good nature, most importantly being able to tell right from wrong, though this does not apply exactly to human moral standards despite being quite similar. The one able to pass such meticulous standards for the transformation is usually chose by a fellow Seraphim, which is one key ingredient to becoming a Seraphim for the reasons revealed next.
A ritual must take place at the moment of the chosen's death, requiring a covenant of innocents, Aramaic scriptures that summon forth a Seraphim to one in need of justice chanted by each covenant member, and an Angelic weapon to pierce the flesh of the chosen.
Personality: A sort of ingenuous manipulator who remains unpretentious and knows exactly where her power over others lie. She is a straight-forward thinker skilled in cognitive control and persuasion, and less often used, intimidation. If Mimi sees something she wants, she will think of ways to obtain her desires whether it be through bartering and enticement, or bashing your head in with a hammer. Luckily, it is not often that Mimi desires anything in particular other than the freedom from her toy body.
Abilities: She has the powers to THROW THIS WORLD INTO CHAOS! In all seriousness, Mimi has fewer powers to access in her doll form but she can still be quite damaging to ones body, mind, and soul. She has to ability to call forth lesser Demons and malevolent presences like poltergeists to aid her in whatever endeavor she might face, as well as communicate with them and any other spiritual being that crosses her path. With this access to the nether-realms, Mimi's minions can possess objects and people with weak wills. These servants communicate and interact with the physical world with telepathy, telekinesis, and other such powers. Mimi is able to 'power-up' and heal through the absorption of other Demons and Spirits.
Having minor illusion magic works well with a being a creature of manipulation, and can alter how others, if they are weak minded, perceive the world around them in order to convince them of whatever she pleases. The few minor abilities Mimi possesses are levitation, minor fire manipulation but not conjuration, and temporary possession of objects but not people. When possessing an object, Mimi remains in her doll form, but rather than entering the object as most Demons do, Mimi must manually move them with 'magical strings' and puppet them like a marionette.
History: Miannarah, as she was previously named by those who feared and worshiped her, is a Demon of possession and manipulation whi is well known, especially throughout the Demonic world. Years ago, Mimi was trapped in her current form of a doll that is approximately the size and shape of a 10 year old, human girl. She has been held in captivity to this day, spending the years looking for a long lost reversal ritual to cure her of her 'affliction'.
Before her transformation, Mimi was a borderline God with abilities that go beyond human comprehension, and was worshipped by mortal and supernatural beings alike for her grasp and control over both the spirit and material worlds, and had consumed entire life-based planets before her short reign on Earth ended in disaster for her; She had been summoned by a group of cultists to terrorize the city of Capulet which was overrun with Demon traitors who refused to bow down and obey their overlords, Mimi being no exception. She began her apocalyptic rule over the city immediately
Before being stuck in this finite, plastic form, Mimi had battled against an infamous Demon-Hunter where the remains of what Mimi could recall, other than the moment of her defeat, was the the Demon-Hunter was wearing a red trench-coat.
Personality:
Abilities:
History: Pazuzu is the Demon of Winds and Plagues incarnate, though rather than taking a form of flesh, he sticks to a theme that seemed best suited alongside Mimi and chose the form of a plushie Panda-doll that was conveniently light and easy for Mimi to take with her on her travels.
