Hello all, welcome to my interest check for an illustrated roleplay - an advanced RP illustrated with pictures drawn by you and me. I tried this a couple of years ago, and it turned out to be probably the best roleplay I've ever partaken in. Here's hoping I can find someone to draw and write with again!



1 - Please be at least high beginner/low intermediate at drawing, and preferably advanced (by this forum's standards) at writing. I don't mind if you're better/worse than me at either, but I'd like to find someone at roughly those skill levels. If you'd like to see examples of my art (aside from the picture at the top) then visit my tumblr linked in my signature. My roleplay illustrations will be a lot sketchier though! EDIT: I had a false start to this RP recently, but my partner never replied. I have two examples of post illustrations I drew:


2 - Each post would ideally be 4 - 5 paragraphs long, or longer depending on what's happening in the narrative. Every post should include an illustration. The illustrations can be sketchy, probably black and white (you can include color if you'd like) and can include both of our characters, if you're comfortable with drawing both.
3 - Posts should occur at least once a week. I'm sure we all have other things to do, and I know how time consuming drawing can be. But any less than once weekly becomes a bit pointless for me. If you go two weeks without updating or talking to me, I'll assume the roleplay is dead.
4 - Talk with me OOC! It would be ideal if we could talk on skype/discord to plot, world build and chitchat.
5 - I ask that any prospective partners are legal adults.
6 - All art styles and media are welcome.
7 - I'm looking for a longterm partner who I can create a long, elaborate story with.

As for genre, you can probably tell by looking at my art that I'm a fantasy lover. I already have a plot/world in mind that has been rolling around in my head for a while, but I'm open to a multitude of genres, including sci-fi, post-apocalyptic, dystopian and multiverse. If you're interested, please send me a PM introducing yourself with some examples of your artwork, and what kind of story you're interested in creating. Due to the demanding nature of this type of roleplay, I'll only be looking for one partner. Hope to hear from you!

hnnng I'm a painfully slow artist and probably shouldn't take on another 1x1, but this idea is amazing and I really hope you potentially decide to make it a topic so I can amaze at the beautiful art <3

Another non-artist here, but this idea sounds amazing and lovely. I hope you find someone, because I would be interested in seeing this play out as well. It's very creative. :)

@Waxnova I am extremely tempted to have a go at this illustrated roleplay with you. (Yes, I can draw and used to take requests for character sketches in a different roleplay board) but I'm not sure I'll have a lot of time to actually devote myself to this... :/

@Kyrisse Well thanks for your interest, I definitely understand that the time commitment is a big deal for a lot of people. It generally takes way longer to draw the illustration than it does to write the post. I'd say it would take about 2 - 3 hours a week to create a post, but that's in my case where my line work is more detailed. I'm totally fine with sketchier illustrations though!

I see you already have someone but if you need another... this idea is just so cool to me. Let me know if you'd like another partner!
