Raye Solaire//Airfleet Street

21:49

==~==

Raye's grin widened further (how was that even possible?), sharp canines on full display, as he stalked into the cage. He de-fused Izanagi and Izanami into their twin blade form as the gate closed behind them, and the Mistress of Ceremonies shouted her commencement of the... well, ceremony. Raye's body ignited in golden fire, drawing some ooh's and aah's from the crowd as his blades spun in his hands at his sides. He turned to his companions, speaking quickly as he sank into a crouch.

"I'll get behind 'em and flank 'em- if you guys stay here, we can smash 'em in between our advances. I'll corral them the best that I can so you guys can hammer away, okay? Good luck!" And with that, he shot into the air at blinding speed, trailing gold sparks like a living shooting star. There was a reason he called his Semblance, "Meteor," after all. Glancing down briefly as his momentum hung him in the air, he spotted one of the Grimm pairs in the back, where one of the two was lagging slightly behind the other. Sublime, thought Raye, as he took aim and fired himself into the straggling Grimm, aiming to crush it into the ground.

Daedalus Ivory

Airfleet Street, 22:00

The crossbow bolt hit its' mark, exploding in a brilliant shower of fine ice crystals. The crowd cheered at the spectacle as the Ursa stopped dead in its tracks, snap frozen by the huge ice crystals that now encased its entire body. Daedalus grinned and flexed his huge muscles for the onlookers - it was a little vainer than he usually conducted himself, but tonight was all about the spectacle; he could afford to indulge his ego if it made the show that little bit more enjoyable to watch.

Meanwhile, the other Hunters had spung into action. Xander dashed off to the right and fired a flurry of bullets at the monsters; much to Daedalus' wonder, the lad managed to land every shot. One of the Ursa caught up to him and took a quick swipe, but Xander was quicker - he dropped low and plunged his weapons into the Ursa's belly, allowing inertia to do the rest of the work. Daedalus couldn't help but be filled with awe and just the slightest amount of jealousy at his agility and finesse.

Raye on the other hand flew up into the air, trailing a cascade of brilliant gold embers behind him. For the briefest of moments he hung in the air before launching at inhuman speed towards the frozen Ursa, now separated from the rest of its ravenous pack. Raye's boots made contact with the ice and - to the uproarious applause of the crowd - shattered the Grimm into thousands of pieces like a hammer taken to crystal. Daedalus stared at the Hunter in disbelief.

The shock was short-lived though - the second Ursa lunged towards Daedalus and the two warriors still behind him. He planted his front feet firmly as he stared into the deep crimson eyes of the beast, aflame with primal rage. His olive skin rippled and shifted through the colours towards a deep grey as he activated his semblance. He bellowed a single word to the pair behind him:'DUCK!'

He pivoted. The beast's expression changed from hatred to confusion and then finally horror as it sailed past the man who only seconds before was to be its next meal. It couldn't process that it, the Alpha predator, could have been bested by what was essentially a packed lunch.

And then the punch came.

The Ursa careened over the heads of the pair behind Daedalus, carrying not just its own weight but also the weight behind the devastating right hook Daedalus had planted into the creature's chest. The reinforced wall it collided with cracked and buckled beneath the force and the audible sound of untold bones snapping could be heard by those in the first two rows; yet the Ursa, broken and feeble and rapidly approaching the end of its' short and miserable life, shakily got to its feet and limped weakly towards the three in a final pitiful attempt to cause some damage - any damage - to the Hunters and Huntresses standing before him.

Meral Dandee

Airfleet Street
"Oh hey! That rhymes!"

The Pickaxe wielding huntress was clearly enjoying herself. She appeared to be paying no mind to the battle going on around her, as well as the quickly approaching Grimm. She was far too busy pumping up the crowd, feigning her own obliviousness. She was smiling and posing for the crowd, while keeping a close eye on the Grimm that would soon upon her. This was all part of her plan, the entire time she had been slowly leaning back with her weapon to charge it to its highest potential.

Meral watched the crowd closely for their reactions. Most of them were loudly cheering or laughing at Meral's antics. To keep up such a goofy and cheery disposition despite the beast that was nearly upon her. But once their expressions changed she knew that it was almost time to spring into action. The crowd near her changed their smiles and cheers into gasps and shouting.

The world seemed to slow down around her, her semblance kicking into action as it began to warn her of the upcoming dangers. Out of the corner of her eye she saw the Ursa, or more like the mouth of the Ursa. The gap between them quickly closing. When it appeared that the Ursa was about to munch down on her head Meral looked over at the crowd, winked, and pivoted towards the Ursa.

Her weapon whirled to life with the metalic clanging of gears and steam. Meral swung her Pickaxe back over her head and then down onto the forehead of the Ursa, forcing it to close it's jaws before it could bite down on the Huntress. The pickaxe wedged itself into it's boney forehead several inches deep, Meral clung onto her weapon, dangling a few feet off the ground as the Ursa recoiled.

The Huntress put so much energy and force into the swing and impact that it worked as a perfect launchpad. As the beast struggled to comprehend what had happened to it Meral pulled herself onto it's head and kicked off, pulling her Pickaxe free while simultaneously launching herself into the air.

Meral sailed through the air with a look of glee on her face. She was clearly not a serious fighter, this whole thing appearing like a game to her. Even though she was trying to play it up for the audience most battles were done this casually. In Meral's mind the battle was already won, and nothing bad was going to happen. Nothing bad ever happened.

Her semblance activated, and without thinking her hands went to her pocket, catching her Scroll before it fell to the floor beneath her. Wouldn't want that breaking!

The battle around her seemed to slow down, likely a combination of the adrenalin and her semblance working in overtime to try and inform her of every possible danger. She had a nice view of the battle from the height she had gotten, everyones abilities were quite impressive! Meral did spot something that troubled her, nearly to the point of her loosing her smile. She had left her helmet on the ground. She made a mental note to grab it once she hit the ground, which she was approaching with impressive speed.

"Maybe I should have thought about this before I jumped..."
