Jackson stepped back, he did not want to touch the girl, it felt wrong to touch the girl like that.
"ummm I think I'll go use the heavy bag" he said as he pulled his fist wraps back out, he preferred to leave fighting other to when he really needed to.

John couldn't help but think of how awesome it was to have a team started. It literally made him ecstatic. For the longest time.. this is all he had dreamed for.

She frowned followed by a sigh. Maybe she was being too nice. Macy looked at the other two and frowned again though they couldn't see it. She strapped on her boxing gloves and went to the farthest punching bag and started to punch, letting out some of her steam. Macy tuned out CLANK of the chain.

Jorge saw that they had finished grappling for now, moving on to the heavy bags. He used this opportunity to introduce himself to everyone. "Hello, I'm Jorge. I'm new to the area and was looking for a marital arts gym, and thought this place looked good. I've got some experience with Jiu-Jitsu, but almost none with striking."

"Nice to meet you Jorge.. I can see your experienced by the way you carry yourself. We all are still learning here, there is no masters. I trained under Billy Robinson some and wrestled in school. I have some muay thai experience, but I'm definitely a wrestler. Glad to have a submission artist here."

"Did someone say Jiu jitsu?" Macy kept focused on her bag, striking it harder with each punch. She paused to wipe sweat from her brow then kept going.

"Cool, wrestling is very effective. I'm from Brazil, we don't have good wrestlers there, but it seems like they grow in cornfields in America. This place seems friendly." He said with a thick Brazilian accent. Jorge had heard the name Billy Robinson somewhere, but he couldn't remember where.

"They don't have enough submission artists here in America though. I hate it. Are you familiar with Catch Wrestling by any chance? That's where my heart is. We have a lot of BJJ here in the states these days, but it's a crap shoot if you're gonna get a legitimate lineage or not.. ya know all these guys want to have a foot in everything. So a lot of phonies out there. Same with Catch Wrestling. Anyway... you're welcome to join our gym! Feel free to get loosened up and we can talk some technique here soon."

John looked at everyone "There's a fight card at the end of the month at the town square... would you guys and gal be interested in fighting on their? I'd have to get team shirts made for us, but if you put in a solid month, I bet we could make it happen."

Jackson struck the heavy bag hard when he heard them talking about their grappling styles. great, more grapplers, his weakness in a fight just rubbed in his face. Maybe he was like other people in the Americas, but his Italian father wanted him to know how to how to bust some heads with his fist, not using throws and holds. He punched his heavy bag and he spun around it, side kicking to the midsection and jumped on the top of the heavy bag and bashed it with hammer fist o the sides.

"Isn't catch wrestling like BJJ except with weird names for all the moves and everyone is bad off their back?" He paused for a moment and said "I'm joking. It's cool stuff, a lot of good fighters have come from a catch background, which is impressive when think about how rare it is compared with arts like Judo or Muay Thai. You're right that there's some shading Jiu Jitsu guys out there, but a lot of the top guys open up gyms in America after making a name for themselves in Brazil. I'd be interested in that MMA event at the end of month, I could use a few extra bucks, even if it's only to show up and get knocked out." While talking, he looked at the man hitting the heavy bag. He was small, but had good power. Jorge didn't know much, but he could tell that this man had a unique style, hitting the bag with cleanly with techniques most kickboxers struggled with.

"Ha! You had me going for a minute there my friend! Sounds good! I am gonna be competing as well. I'm looking to make some extra cash and get my name out there. I'm not the greatest at striking either, but we can all help each other. Welcome to the team!" John shook Jorge's hand and was very excited for what is to come.

"Maybe we can afford to put a cage in here before too long. Right now all I have is these mats and old bags. Anyway, let's get some workouts in."

John put his mouthpiece back in and put his 16oz gloves back on. He headed over to the bags and begab striking them again. Just going around 50%. He was never one to try to impress anyone. He started laying in the power kicks eventually and they made a loud THWAP! when connecting with the bag. John also had a habit of yelling with his strikes to ensure he tightened his core up.

Jackson stopped a punch seconds away from hitting when he heard them talk about the tournament.

it wasn't that we was in it to win, or that he really expected too. Just wanted to get his name out there, or at least test his skills, It would be fun and ,maybe he's learn some new styles.

"It's not a tournament, just a bunch of fights that night. If you'd like I can set you up with a match? It's gonna be in a cage, and you might get set up against some grapplers, but you could totally learn some techniques to win by then."

Jackson reverse round housed the sack before him before turning to john.
"do you really think There'll be that many? Maybe I'll be with all brawlers, I donno I never been to anything like this, I only got to get into street fights, real savage stuff that Is" as he spoke he landed a hard side kick to the heavy bag
