Galbar should build a massive wall to keep the Arcronian immigrants from taking their jobs.

We can do it the Vestec way and blow up several planets.

In response to the question someone raised about writing music a while back- For me it depends on the character and the tone of the post. Heartworm is a Venetian Snares kind of kid. Tauga is stuck in the OFF soundtrack. Jvan herself, as always, works with Lauren Bousfield. Most of my characters are vaguely eldritch depressing moral wrecks, so they get creepy electronica.

Except Tira. Tira gets cute dubstep.

I'm going to take that as a vote to blow up several planets.

Hey, we need some clarification on what a Demi-god would be capable of with Might given to him from a god. Besides maybe leveling him up, but could he surpass his current limits with it?

Say if a demigod was given the task to advance a village into a city, what would be the difference in overall...everything if the demi-god used his own Might, or a gods Might?

Depends on the details of who's giving the power and how, at my guess. So far I haven't been treating Might like something my characters are actually aware of or can manipulate; It's just a measure of effort and exhaustion. To 'give' Might would be to put effort into something and then pass that on.

Which could still obviously work as a general buff, permanently or for a limited time, but it could happen in a few ways. A temporary blessing from Niciel might be access to spectral wings and the ability to make things using Holy Magic for a few days. Zephyrion could give a mortal a few moments worth of control over some elemental swarm, while Jvan could give unlimited shapeshifting.

Bonus points for including an actual mechanism behind the time limit- A single bottle worth of potion, a scarf that wears out (or unravels), a fiery sword that slowly burns to a useless stump.

Capy did this really well when Ilunabar gave Meimu the Ring of Blooming- It would be easy to say 'let there be flowers', but instead we had a few moments of a powerful artefact on display that can still act as a device for character development even now that it's depleted.

ed: Speaking of shapeshifters, why the hell didn't I think of that sooner? hn hn hnn.

Lifprasil gets a Dark Souls reference.

Dunno if I've sorted out Lakshmi, yet, but Oevadia the jet powered birb gets goofy Homestuck music.

Excellent taste in music, bee tee dubs.

As Termite has implied, one special feature of God Might over Demigod Might is the greater versatility it would grant. According to the OP, demigods are only capable of using Might within their Domain/Portfolio. Conceivably, if a God were to, in some way, grant a Demigod a few points of Might to spend (the mechanisms of which Termite has suggested), then those points of Might could also be used on actions in the Domain/Portfolio of the gifting God.

For example, if Amartia receives 1 Might point from Zephyrion to spend, he could use it to command the weather, or enact some kind of Change; actions far beyond Amartia's own Domain.

I don't think we've ever discussed Might as a transferable resource. It can be exchanged from Might to Free Points and vice versa, but that's a purely game aspect. When it comes to heroes and demigods, the only examples of 'positive Might transferral' we have is where a god uses Might to strengthen (i.e. level up) a hero or demigod or blessing them (and blessings have never specifically been time-limited, though each god can do what they like with each unique blessing. And this applies to curses etc.)

Termite compared Might to effort and exhaustion - that is indeed one possible, though not strictly necessary, aspect. But it is also 'divine energy'. So it is not enough that a god should become exhausted after a certain action, there must be usage of divine energy. Whether that divine energy is something gods are aware of has not been canonised methinks, and whether it can be transferred in its pure form to another god or being has not been canonised either. I would say if you do wish for it to be possible, be certain to construct it very carefully.

I always thought that "might" was always represented as "divine essence" that permeated the universe before the big bang. The power that makes gods... godly? Yeah. Gods are the only beings that are inherently interlinked with that power. I always wrote as if Ull was aware of said essence, and I have stated so in my posts from time to time (or implied at least).

IMO When gods make something mortal a hero, they unlock within it the ability to sense/use said divine essence, albeit not with the same capabilities as a god would. They are confined and limited to what the god gives them. The same thing happens to demigods, but they possess better prowess in manipulating this power and are not as limited as heroes, only within their domains/portfolios. A god, contrary to a demigod, can manipulate their surroundings freely even if what he wants to do isn't a part of his domain/portfolio.

A single god can create a planet for example, and won't really need much might to do so. A demigod (not unless they achieve godhood) cannot do that, even if they use might.

A form of "bestowment" of might, imo, is the gifting of divine weapons/armor/other tools to lower beings from gods. Whether those items might reserves deplete with time or not, it's up to the players to decide really. Forcefully leveling up a hero/demigod is like having the god channel the divine essence from within them to the said recipient, fundamentally altering them so that they can sense/manipulate said divine essence better.

I don't know if you understand what I want to say... And anyway, this is all my assumptions thus far, since not much has been canonised by Kho/Cyclone pertaining the whole thing.

EDIT: Also, as gods are basically born from this essence, the level of purity of essence they possess is the highest possible. This is why if a hero or demigod gets their hands on some kind of godly part (blood, crystalized essence, etc.) and absorb it, they can level up instantly.

When Loki mentioned the Aether stuff, that's basically what I had in mind as well. As for Amartia naming it as "the Fifth Element" and whatnot, I don't know if gods would describe it as such. Astarte thought it was "just there" and she could "just do stuff" so yeah. Specifically designating as "Aether" would probably be just Amartia trying to theorize how this stuff works.
