Name: Rel Finarro
Age: 31
Sex: Male
Race: Clawdite
Apperance: As a shapeshifter, Rel can really look like any humanoid creature. In his real form, he weighs 80 kg and is 1,85 metres tall. His figure is quite slim, and his skin tone a grayish green. His facial features are quite strong, and include a small nose and large eyes that look yellow due to dark side corruption. I'll add an image at a later time.
Occupation: Smuggler, pilot and Force user
Gear:
- Black jumpsuit
- Dark gray robe
- Curved-hilt lightsaber, made with a synthetic red crystal
- Automatic short-range blaster
- Military grade thermal imploder
- Jedi holocron
Skills and combat techniques:
In close quarter combat Rel utilizes the second form of lightsaber combat, also known as Makashi. This gives him a significant advantage against melee opponents, but makes blocking blaster fire slightly harder. He is quite agile and quick, but not physically strong at all.
When it comes to utilizing the Force, Rel is the most prominent with mind tricks. He can also push and pull objects relatively easy, and even create Force lightning.
He also carries a small blaster sidearm, since waving a lightsaber in public places is usually an effective death sentence.
Backstory:
Rel Finarro was born on the planet Zolan in the year 35BBY, and quickly discovered by the Jedi order. He never knew his parents, and was taken to the Temple and given basic training at a fairly young age. Rel was 13 when he became the Padawan of an Arkanian Jedi, but this only lasted for three years since a certain chancellor had his own plans for the galaxy.
Rel was in the Temple when Order 66 was issued, and witnessed the fall of many Jedi in the hands of the 501st legion. He managed to disguise himself as a clone and remained unnoticed by the attackers. After grabbing a valuable Jedi holocron from the now breached holocron vault, he sneaked outside and stole one of the 501st transport gunships. Still shocked and wondering what had happened, he flew as far from the Temple as possible and landed in a public parking lot somewhere in the undercity of Coruscant. He left the clone armor in the gunship, but kept the black jumpsuit as it would draw less attention than a Jedi tunic, and was quite pleasant to wear. As attempting to contact any Jedi might draw the attention of the clones, he decided to go into hiding and see how the situation would evolve. He rented a small carage for the ship, and used it as a sort of base of operations. Whenever he had to go outside for food or other necessities, he was sure to take another form using his shapeshifting abilities. He continued hiding like this for a few years, and spent his free time studying the Force with the holocron he now had, as well as learning mechanics and tinkering with the gunship. He probably could've bought a new ship, but didn't want to, as he had grown attached to this one and the carage was fairly small in size.
As time passed, it came clear that the Jedi had lost, and everyone Rel had ever cared about was dead. He became cynical towards life and abandoned the light side, now just believing in the Force itself. One could say he was as a gray Jedi for a while, but then he slowly begun to slip towards the dark side. He had to earn money for living somehow, and he did this by dealing drugs, smuggling weapons and capturing, in some cases even eliminating people for local crimelords - The dark side was a valuable tool when doing this kind of work. Eventually, Rel had gathered enough credits to modify his ship for interplanetary travel and install an FTL drive, and he knew it was time to move on with his life - And he left the planet. His next goal was to construct a new lightsaber, as he no longer had faith in the Jedi, and had found the dark side to bring way more benefits than the light. He infiltrated a small mining colony and forged a new, red crystal using the geological compressor found in one of it's laboratories. However, one of the workers discovered him and alerted the entire facility of a possible Jedi sighting. After slaying countless miners, scientists and security droids, Rel found himself to be running from the Empire itself - Every Force user, no matter which side of the Force side they were on, was seen as a huge threat by the Emperor, and he even had specially trained agents to hunt them down.
After barely escaping the Imperial forces, Rel fled to the Outer Rim territories and put his new weapon together. He had grown quite powerful after leaving the Temple, but he had to keep those powers hidden. In his heart, Rel wanted to pass on what he had learned, and take an apprentice of his own, but for now the best course of action was to blend in. The best way of doing this was, of course, traveling from one space port to another and doing what he apparently was good at - Smuggling. However the old ship grew quite small for this purpose, so he decided to steal another one.
