Mizn make sure to record the data about the black hole for later review before it disappeared. Archiving the data before he responded to York "Agree, civilian have priority," Mizn started to follow York into the village. He took out the prob programming it to survey in a 3 mile radius of the village. Satisfied with programming the automaton toss the prob into the air were it took off. Mizn quickly turned its attention back to village to evaluate the damage.

Despite Jasper's best efforts to show her power, all she got from Isei was a mocking grin and a mildly strained chuckle. Had she not been so obviously furious, she might have noticed that the martial artist did not fight her attack in any way. A grab at the neck or the collar was such a common attack that it was one of the first things novices were taught to defend against, surely an experienced hand to hand fighter would know how to counter such a simple thing. Had she been calmer, she might have noticed that Isei's neck was harder than rock and her fingers found no give in the man's flesh despite the pressure they applied.

Had she not been so frustrated, so clouded by unnecessary thoughts in battle, she might've noticed that Isei seemed oddly weightless as she lifted him. She might've noticed that he had eased all her motions along, cooperating with her rather than resisting, and by doing so had easily put himself in a position to break his fall, a skill called ukemi. Rather than slam against the ground full-force, he had managed to distribute the impact across the non-critical parts of his already tough body to achieve a minimum of discomfort. Any impact noise was caused by slapping his hands and his feet against the floor as part of the technique.

Isei had raised all of those points before, and now he had one more to add to his "lesson". Had Jasper not impulsively tried to make him suffer, she might've taken stock that Isei was still in position to defend himself. After all, only a minute portion of his body was under any sort of lock. One of his hands grabbed hold of Jasper's wrist to control her arm and help pull it away, the other grabbed at her thumb to pry her grip off and let him free his neck. Hard for a thumb to compete against a whole hand, after all. Still smiling at Jasper, without letting go of her arm, he tucked his legs in between them so his knees pointed right at her.

All this happened in a microsecond, simple motions performed with practiced polish. And then, the finish. Isei's feet shot up and slammed against Jasper's abdomen as he himself rolled backwards on the floor while still holding on to her arm until the last second for added control. With the gem trying to set her weight down on him to crush him, the unbalancing and breaking of her posture along with Isei's added force and use of leverage would cause her to flip right over his head in a most humiliating fashion, leaving Isei free to lie back comfortably on the floor and resume the nonchalant resting posture she had first found him in.

"Ohohoho, I do believe the term warrior is much too good for you", he said, stroking his beard and clearly pleased with himself. "A tool is what you are, and a tool you shall be until you strive to be better!".

York was happy that this newcomer at least had his priorities in order. As much as the black hole filled him with questions, he knew that the health of the people, or Toads rather, on the ground had to come first. 'Doesn't include my health though.' He thought to himself, lighting up yet another cigarette. He made a mental note to see if anyone in this world sold them, and if they did, stock up before he went back through that portal. Assuming their stay here wasn't permanent. He approached the Toads slowly, not checking to see if Roland had followed him

York stood in front of the villagers, looking down on them. The only injured ones, it seemed, were the ones that had been unfortunate enough to be too close to Jasper when she first came through the portal. Otherwise, everyone looked fine. Though there were noticeably less Toads around than when he first arrived, which brought a few questions to his mind. The most prevalent of which was where did they go? He didn't see any gore spread about, or even any outlines in the soot of the bombs that did hit the ground, so he assumed they weren't exploded. And he didn't see any of the Koopas or Goombas making off with any Toads on their backs...

York shook his head. Focus. He crouched down in front of the injured ones, wincing at the bruises and black eyes they had collected. Blot T. looked like he had gotten it worse though, his head having been busted open and some blood running down the side of his face from where he was headbutted.

"I agree Zach-let's steer clear of whoever did this." York muttered, having come through the portal too late to see Jasper's attack on these Toads. He rubbed his chin in thought, shaking his head. He wasn't a medical expert, and even if he was he doubted these Toads would let him get too close. The ones that were still conscious still looked at him with caution, and why wouldn't they? He was a proverbial Gulliver first arriving in Lilliput. York briefly noted to read that book again when he got the chance.

"Stand down boys," came the scratchy voice of General Shif T., his eyes brimming with caution but still seeing opportunity "if he wants to help, let 'im."

"Sad to say I don't think I can," York admitted, a little bit of smoke puffing out of his mouth as he spoke "never really did pay attention in the medical training...You wouldn't happen to know anything would you?" York asked Minz, turning to him in time to see his probe flying off. Another question to be asked later he supposed.

The Koopas, being turtles more or less, did have something of a slow swim across the lake. They found themselves withdrawing into their shells every now and then to fend off attacks from the hungry or just plain angry Cheap Cheaps that swam at them, said shells being able to bounce off any attacks that they made. However, when they saw Haruki emerge from the water with several fish gnawing on him, they double timed their way across the lake. Not long after Haruki emerged (but long after Harvey did), they finally made their way across, several of them moving to yank the fish off of Haruki's body.

"Dang...You must be as tough as Koopa Shell big guy!" The lead Koopa declared in wonder, staring up at Haruki in awe. He was glad he hadn't picked a fight with the fisherman. He doubted he would've been able to win, not with a group of regular troopas. With a Hammer or Fire Bro maybe...This thought process was interrupted by several of his comrades lost grip of the blue Cheap Cheaps they had all but ripped off of Haruki. They were intending to toss them back into the lake, but they were slippery buggers, and soon flopped out of their hands. The Cheap Cheaps, to their credit, were smart enough to realize that going after Haruki again would only net them sore teeth. So they turned their attention to Harvey and started flopping towards him, any Koopas that tried to scoop them up eating grass for their troubles.

It took a few moments after Samus crashed, but Morton eventually caught up to the crash site. Instead of rushing in however, he hid behind a nearby tree, only occasionally peaking out to see if Samus had left yet. It wasn't that he didn't think he couldn't take Samus in a fight, but he'd probably already dented up his dream ship enough already. The less broken parts now, the better. He couldn't help but smirk a little when he saw Samus start going about fixing the damage he had already caused, and in an automative fashion no less.

'I'll just wait for her to leave, hope that thing is fixed enough to be in flying shape, smash those little robot things, and zoom on out of here!' Morton thought enthusiastically, chuckling softly to himself. The thought that maybe he wouldn't know how to fly an aircraft like Samus' didn't occur to him. Right now, he was simply too high off the sheer power and speed behind the ship to really care about that kind of stuff. All he had to do now was wait, and it would all be his...

'All talk, just as I expe-' Jasper thought for a few moments as she was able to hold Isei down with relative ease. True, he hadn't snapped in two or even cried out in pain, but surely no human could take a hit like this and be able to walk away uninjured. Then there was trouble.

The movements were ones Jasper was roughly familiar with. She had knwon the basics of hand to hand combat coming out of the ground after all. What she had forgotten, however, was how easily one could leave themselves open to such moves if they weren't careful. Such was the downside of a sadistic streak and overconfidence. As such, she took the vault over Isei's head full force, flying a few feet through the air before crashing down on the cobblestone a few feet away from Isei. She grunted as she landed, quickly rolling on to her knees and elbows and shaking the fuzziness out of her head. She shot her head back up at his words, grinding her teeth together.

Now, Isei was more on the nose than perhaps he realized. Jaspers, and other quartz like her, were dime a dozen on homeworld, and could be considered easily replaceable tools for their army. Troops would be the more respectful term, the terms Soldier and Warrior reserved for the elite of these quartz. AKA the ones who survived the longest. Still, calling Jasper a tool only served to add more gasoline to her fire, and she scrambled back up to her feet with her eye twitching. She wanted nothing more than to rip and tear and maim and destroy and crush and kill and...

The sharp pain in her arm was Jasper's first clue that the corruption was coming back. Freezing on the spot again, she glanced down, finding her human like arm was transforming into something far more animalistic, with claws instead of fingers. She stumbled and fell forwards again, on to all fours, as it got closer and closer to her gem. Once it reached there, Jasper knew she wouldn't be able to turn back. She could think of many good ways to die, but corruption sure as hell wasn't one of them. Taking deep breaths and essentially shouting at the corruption in her head as it crawled up her arm, it paused right at her shoulder and started regressing. It took a few moments, but soon Jasper's arm was back to normal. She stood back up then, clutching her elbow as if to check if it was still there and normal, before glaring back at Isei. There was far less fire now though. Fighting off corruption wasn't done without a lot of energy after all.

"And...Who do you think...You are?" Jasper asked, still hostile but noticeably more tired than before.

Harvey noticed that the fish that had attached themselves to Haruki were now trying to attack him. They could only travel in short, spirited hops, but they were making progress towards him-- he'd betta get out of here! Suddenly, one of the Cheep-Cheeps gave a mighty gurgle, lunged right for Harvey's unprotected legs, and... flopped forward a couple inches. As the Cheep-Cheep glared pathetically at him, Harvey wondered why he ever considered this thing anenome.

"These small fries aren't all that bad," Harvey stated smugly. "I'm gonna assume your boss lives in that big stoney place up there. The one that looks like a... factory with bricks and a gate and such." Harvey nonchalantly pointed towards a extremely conspicuous and extremely ominous-looking castle some distance along the road. "We're almost there! C'mon, buoys and gills! Shake a fin and get moving!"

Holding his hat to his body and grinning eagerly, Harvey waddled up the road towards the castle. He'd just be happy to have a roof over his head. Even if this was a trap, Harvey would fall for it, hook, line, and sinker, if only for the fact that he'd have somewhere to be and something to work towards.

Isei took undeniable pleasure in schooling others, yes. After a long life of dedication to his craft, nevermind the constant and undeniable application of his skills, he felt he had more than earned the right to be critical where he felt appropiate. He never did so in a wholly malicious manner, however, even if he might seem blunt or downright cruel at times. He sought, in his way, to help others better themselves and while he had purposely needled Jasper to this end he took no delight in watching whatever it was that happened to her. Clearly, the problems here ran deeper than ego and a bad temper accompanying a strong body.

Sighing and shaking his head, he pushed himself back to his feet. Gone were any signs of playfulness to him as he approached the visibly drained woman. Knocking someone down a peg was fine and all, as was teaching the value of keeping calm and focusing the mind, but whoever this was they needed it more than anyone he had ever met. No one should be at a literal risk of losing themselves in such a manner. Isei stood a respectable distance away from Jasper and brought his fist to his vertical palm as a sign of respect. He looked at the gem dead in the eye, and his steely expression held neither pity nor contempt.

"I am Isei, a martial artist", he said with a slight bow. He had a couple of titles to him but it wasn't like they were of much use here, where no one knew who he was. "I believe you can be better and I believe I can help you, but I can only do that if you'll let me". He smiled at Jasper, the warm smile of one who has nurtured and guided others through the trials of life before, and offered her his hand. "Given the situation, I don't think I heard your name".

Fussing over his appearance- making sure his horns were appropriately clean, trying to make sure he wouldn't track water in, and most importantly making sure no fish were still biting him- Haruki followed Harvey. He leaned down and whispered to the fish.

"So, royalty's usually busy. We're expecting a wait of, what 20, 30 minutes? You think we'll be "detained"?"

Louder enough for the koopas to hear, he continued.

"...and remember, the smaller fork's for salads. If they have chopsticks, don't put them straight up and down or cross them, that's bad luck..."

"...Yeah that did seem a bit of an overreaction." The head Koopa deadpanned, punting a few Cheep Cheeps back into the water before turning back to Harvey and Haruki. He managed to overhear what Haruki was saying to himself about meeting royalty, and nodded in agreement.

"You'd be right, but it may take even longer than that. This is a time of war, our King is constantly busy," explained the Koopa, leading the twosome into the castle with his crew "we'll find someplace nice for you guys to wait it out though, don't worry about it, okay?" With that, the doors to Bowser's castle opened. It looked a bit of a mess, with hastily risen statues raised to Bowser and his kids put down on the floor without rhyme or reason, and whatever blank space those left behind were taken up with strewn about papers, either maps or blueprints. Still, the soldiers inside navigated it expertly, or at the very least didn't notice the mess as they walked around.

As Isei approached Jasper and offered her his hand, she looked down at with a mixture of wariness and contempt. Truly, she wanted to do nothing more than grab that hand and smash him around on the cobblestone until said hand was detached from his body, but a combination of corruption exhaustion and a rattled confidence level prevented her from doing such. She huffed a few times, taking Isei's hand and shaking. She still looked apprehensive, but any desire for violence had left the hulking leviathan of a gem.

"Jasper," she said gruffly, letting go of Isei's hand shortly after "Era 1 Quartz Soldier." She added out of force of habit. It was tradition to introduce yourself with your Era and your Facet on Homeworld. Jasper had long since been allowed to drop the facet part of her introduction, having no need for it on the battlefield, but it was rather hard to forget your own era.

A girl stepped out from behind the statue- petite and unnaturally pale, with what looked like a red and white torpedo strapped across her back. She dragged a bucket filled with water and tattered, half-soaked scraps of paper behind her, and in her other hand carried a soaking-wet mop that dripped water and ink all over the goddamn carpet. She noticed Harvey and Haruki, curtsied, and in doing so knocked over her bucket, soaking another two dozen documents or so.

"Welcome home, masters! Would you like dinner first, perhaps a bath... Or maybe me?"

She gave the pair a million-yen smile (even if she was a relatively cheap gynoid, those face parts could still cost a bundle on the open market) and let out a mildly unnerving sampled laugh.

"A joke, dear masters. I have yet to clean the kitchen or the baths, so I must ask you to please wait warmly. Ruukoto is still on the table, though."

Mizn rejoined York at the village once he had launches the probe. The automaton inspected the damage done to the village as it followed York. Passing by the toads earned the clockwork robot several stares and some toads back off from the Automaton. Mizn couldn't blame them for the stares as the automaton joined York. "Unfortunately I lack the knowledge of repairing organic frames," it replied to York.

Looking the girl over, Haruki spoke up.

"So, I feel it bears asking, so we know where to go from here. You've got an unnatural hair color, you've got those huge shiny fisheyes that seem to go past the sides of your head."

Haruki inhaled, putting his hands together and pointing them toward Ruukoto, asking the hard questions.

"Are you an alien too, or just part of whatever subculture's popular among girls your age this week?"

Sir Eglamour of Artois' trek was nearly complete, yet the journey had yet to even begun. While it might not have been a literal journey, though it wasthe metaphorical journey involving the conquering of the dragon mother and returning this kingdom back to being ruled over by the faeries. The knight drew out his short-sword and his shield, ready to defeat the foul and horrible monsters that were surely lying in wait for him.

But as he dawned upon the castle, there were a few things odd. Notably the castle doors were open. And another strange factor was the fact that there didn't seem to be a draw-bridge or moat for basic defense. Adding onto these weird conundrums was the fact that there didn't appear to be any archers of any sort upon the parapets.

Uncouthli this castel be. Paraventure the dragoun slaughtered all thy citiseins. Sir Eglamour of Artois thought to himself. Nevertheless despite all of these strange things, the knight charged upon his noble steed into the castle. As his horse bucked up letting out a mighty war neigh, and spreading dirt and other muck to the floor below, Sir Eglamour pointed his sword forwards at the strange group of individuals that clearly served the dragon of this castle.

"HARK FOU-" the knight found himself interrupted by a realization. There was a fishman walking about with these foreigners. Sir Eglamour knew what this creature was. His horse slammed its hooves back down as Eglamour sheathed his sword and shield.

Dismounting from his horse, the knight got down upon both of his knees and clasped his gauntlets together in prayer. After this silence he turned towards Harvey and began to speak, his voice solemn.

"Foryeven mine hastif acciouns. I was nought iwar that a Bishop-fish, a holimanne like ye, would be techyng thine lessouns here." He kept his position before he continued on. "Mine sword shan't be unshethen til ye seien elles in consentinge."

"Jasper it is, then. You did mention being a soldier before, yes", Isei said, still smiling and nodding at the woman as though he hadn't only just insulted her to test her temper before flipping her over her head. Such experiences were, for better or worse, relatively common in the martial arts world and he saw little wrong with them. One must empty a cup before it can be filled would be the nice way to put it, clearing away preconceptions to accept a new perspective. In a harsher and more physically-minded environment, however, it was typically described as breaking someone down so they may be better rebuilt.

"I have absolutely no doubt you still wish to prove your considerable strength, which is in some way perfectly fine. A strong spirit and some confidence are good" Isei told her bluntly, calmly stroking his beard as he did so, in a way that made it seem as though this had played out many times before in his life. Not that many, but it had indeed happened. For one such as him, this was little more than a somewhat exagerated version of the desire to best a master in any field. "But those are best tempered with calm, patience, control. Opposites in balance. You are a soldier, you should know discipline and know how necessary it is".

"You more than others should know the risk of losing control". He raised his hand and flexed it into a claw to punctuate. Though smaller than Jasper's, Isei's hands seemed strangely swollen compared to the rest of the man's frame, the joints apparently inflamed and the knuckles and backhand calloused into an unforgiving striking surface. Here was proof of dedication, a willingness to deform himself for his chosen path. "If nothing else, remember there is true power in trying to master yourself. But you will never be better if you don't think you should be", he finished by poking her in the chest with his finger.

"Now I will go see where we are, what exactly is happening and how I may involve myself, I have been living in a cave for far too long. What you do is your choice, and I know accepting help is often quite hard, nevermind asking for it". And with that, Isei stepped away, taking stock of the situation at hand. The devastation seemed mostly material, and while he could help clearing out rubble it hardly seemed urgent. Instead, he approached a man in dark clothes (York) and an automaton of some sort (Minz), who seemed to be in parlay with the locals. As good a place as any to start, he figured.

Presenting them with the same salutation of bringing his fist to his vertical palm, he once again presented himself. Interactions with Isei tended to be rather more polite when not of a martial nature, though he did give the machine being something of a wider berth out of habit. He'd had some rather bad experiences with one beings of the type before. "Gentlemen, I am Isei, a martial artist of some skill and a monster slayer at times. I find myself here through some unknown sorcery and I would welcome information. I offer my assistance with whatever I can help in return".

Harvey strode into the castle, pointedly ignoring everything Haruki said. Manners were for people who could pay him. If this 'King' guy was on the level and wasn't just a rock-bottom wannabe warlord, Harvey would gladly put on a respectable act, especially if he dealt in Mags. He'd learned how to be polite to people back in Law er Sc ol, Olathe's premier law school. All you had to do was not try to kill them and possibly avoid vomiting on their possessions. Harvey could do that-- he hadn't even drunk anything today!

Harvey stopped in his tracks when he saw Ruukoto. A maid outfit, obnoxiously colorful girly hair, and very obvious sexual euphemisms... there were multiple freako sex slaves in this place. Shit.

"Haruki," Harvey patiently whispered into Haruki's ear. "I hate to break it to you, but that's not a girl. Girls except one don't exist anymore."

Harvey had to stop himself. Did these Salvation Ranger guys genuinely think the, uh, alternate fashion enthusiasts they pretended to rescue were actual damsels in distress? He'd seen the "damsel" they'd tried to rescue from Blake the Snake, and that guy wasn't doing a damn thing to look passable, so these guys probably had some pretty powerful imaginations. Most people had powerful imaginations, at least the ones that wanted to pretend they were still straight manly men. That that blue-haired guy and now this green-haired guy looked like what women probably looked like before The Great White Flash only told Harvey one thing: this place is fucked up. He'd have to defuse this situation before these humans started doing... whatever it is humans do when aroused. He didn't know, and didn't want to find out.

"Ah, no thanks!" Harvey blurted out at Ruukoto. "We're just passing through to, uh..."

Harvey tried to remember what they were supposed to be doing. They wanted to go see these guys' boss? He didn't remember his name, and didn't know what he wanted to get when he actuallly met him. This day was going poorly, all things considered. He'd managed to shake off that urge to spout marine animal puns, so at least things weren't a turtle disaster.

"FUCK!" Harvey shouted out loud, realizing that, too, was a marine animal pun.

"I fear I am neither, dear master! I am an M-series INVALID FIRMWARE gynoid, serial number 023782, designation "Ruukoto". My registered owner is ERROR: REGISTRY NOT FOUND, at your service."

Ruukoto gave a precise forty-five bow, the now-vertical mop dripping water down her back. Unsure of what to do next, she stayed in this position. That is, until Harvey's outburst- at which point she jumped up, startled and blushing furiously- or rather, a pair of red LEDs lit up behind the silicone skin of her cheeks, which was the closest she was capable of. Her mop clattered to the floor beside her, momentarily forgotten.

"S-so very forward! I am afraid I am incapable of sexual intercourse, dear master, as I am not a P-series gynoid. I am lacking the proper equipment and subroutines."

Ruukoto got down on her knees and prostrated herself before the pair- trio, now. She'd have to greet the third master once she was done apologizing.

"My humblest apologies for failing to meet your expectations, dear master. I fear that as an M-series gynoid, I am only capable of cooking, cleaning, YOUKAI_EXTERMINATION, general assistance, and observation duties. As a mere machine, I cannot exceed my programming."

Vader was rather impressed by the warrior's speed and power when dealing with Jasper. It amused him to say the least. He knew he was a strong fighter, perhaps not in the Force, but regardless one that shouldn't be trifled with. Meanwhile, he seemed intrigued by the rapid change in the woman's arm, making it turn more animal than man. However did it happen, the sith lord knew not, but figured due to sensing Jasper's fear, that she didn't want it, and whatever "corruption" it may be, he feels her fear in dying by so. However, it was soon back to normal after just a few minutes.

After asking who he was, Jasper's response would be Isei, a martial artist. Figures. He would introduce himself to the man, but protested himself in not doing so. He had no other interest with him. In fact, he didn't know if they even sensed his presence, despite the heavy breathing. Regardless, it was time to get back to the others. Looking around, Vader tries to locate Ainz with the force as he slowly walks diagonally-parallel with the other two, but in a different direction.

"This damage will take some time to repair..." thought that bounty hunter as the little robot drones began to quickly repair the damage inflicted on her engines.

No doubt due to her experiences in the Smash tournament, was the attacker one of the Koopa kids, or Kooplings, which were allegedly Bowser's children... despite Bowser Jr being the only confirmed son, or so he says. That big grey one was definitely one of them, but she couldn't remember his name. Whoever he was, he was gone... or at least she hopes he's gone. Her ship will be fixed in a few minutes, but still it wasted time. She remembers seeing some unusual figures down on the battlefield, those which she hasn't seen before. Perhaps they found themselves trapped in some "glitch" in the universe. But Samus has little idea otherwise.

In the meantime, as her ship was being repaired, the bounty hunter decides to make a quick perimeter search around the gunship. If the koopaling was still following her, by any chance that is, she'll need to be cautious. That hammer of his was powerful enough to crack the reinforced-glass that covered the cockpit...

Then again, she has a powerful arm canno so no biggy right...?
