So this is based off of a story that i started writing earlier this year. I didnt get very far and i wanna see how it could work as an RP.

Citadel county, Virginia has always been special. The witches that survived Salem fled here. There were 2 great witch families that led the pilgrimage. The Grimm's and the Briarwhite's. The Grimm's practiced white magic while the Briarwhite's performed black magic. The Briarwhite's and the Grimm's had feuded for generations. When the two families arrived, the Briarwhite's summoned evil creatures from the pits of hell to take over the town while the Grimm's spread the teachings of Magic to the populace and the natives. When the monsters appeared, the Grimm family decided to instill a protector of the county. They chose a 14 year old boy and trained him to combat these evil's. They called him the Grimmsthorne. The first Grimmsthorne drove the Briarwhite family from Citadel county. In the 1800's, two descendants of the Grimm family, the Warlock's Jacob and Wilhelm wrote a book detailing all of the Briarwhite monsters and how to kill them. They later passed this book off as a collection of fairytales. In 2014, Kristoffer Clarence Irving is chosen to be the next Grimmsthorne. Every Grimmsthorne works from 14-66 before choosing the next. K.C. was chosen by Renault Belmont, the Grimmsthorne chosen in 1962.

Magic: Latin is the language of magic. A witch or warlock need only unblock the flow of energy with their mind to use magic. Magic is also divided into two main groups: white and black and both of those groups are also divided into spells (one word) and incantations (sentences. normally for more complex processes.)

Plot: K.C. Irving had been trained his entire life in the art of white magic. His mother is a direct descendant of the Grimm family and his father has relations to the Briarwhite family. Besides being taught to use magic, K.C. led a basically normal life. He went to school, had friends, (Most of whom were also witches and warlocks.) and did other normal things. That was, until he turned 14. When he turned 14, Renault Belmont chose him to be his successor as the Grimmsthorne of Citadel County. For the last two years, K.C. has been slaying monsters and training. However, now, the Briarwhite family has returned to Citadel, which means, K.C. is in for the biggest fight of his life and he'll need all of his friends to help him.

So basically you can play as a Grimm/Grimm supporter or a Briarwhite/Briarwhite supporter.

Interested, but I have questions on two things. The first, how is white magic the darker of the two when it is generally accepted as protection magic? And second, would there be a potential role for a gray character who hunts both families? I don't mean to cause offense, just curious and hope my questions are given answers.

Wow thanks guys haha. Okay, questions: @simplydebonair How did you figure white magic was the darker of the two? White magic is definitely good magic. Basically the only real difference between the two magic types is their application. And also like aesthetic differences too, like if a Grimm cast a fire spell, the flames might appear white while a Briarwhite's flames would appear black. Second: I think a Witch Hunter would be an amazing addition.

@Raizin Supporters are people of other magic families or non magic users who just take the side of one family or the other, while an actual Grimm or Briarwhite is someone who is directly related to the family through blood. TBH it really doesnt matter whether you're a supporter or an actual family member, like i'm not gonna say only 2 people can be Grimms. I just wanted to give the opportunity for unique names and characters so you guys didnt have to conform to one certain thing.

Oh and i also wanted to pose a question to you guys. What kind of monsters should the Grimmsthorne hunt? like typical werewolves, vampires, trolls, ogres or something different?

Great. Welcome aboard! @Arya10108909
@Raizin I think i may do some form of Demon, like Furies from Greek Mythology. Giant winged creatures whose objective is to kill and drag your soul back to hell. But they'd be really rare and powerful. Other than that, i think i'll do werewolves but not in the traditional sense. More like beasts that stalk at night and kill children/pets/livestock. And Vampires but they're basically bloodsucking werebats. And trolls, who are hunchbacked, and deformed and they live in caves and they come out at night to steal jewelry and shiny things from people. And ogres, which are hulking, 7 foot tall beasts who have green skin covered in black hair with pig snouts. They build their nests out of their own filth and from human remains.

@RangerOfTheRit It's just been a general understanding for those who have knowledge with witchcraft. Usually those utilizing white magic is the healer of sorts, whereas the black magic is for foul play or offensive. Regardless, I am interested in being the Supernatural Hunter if you will allow me to be.

I like it. It's the kind of roleplays I like to be a part of. I'll have to see if I can do it though, I've joined a lot of rp's lately that might already be too much to handle, but I really would love to join. this
