Well we didn't discuss any time limit or anything so take your time, you know you'll need to bring your A-game against Mr Clockwork.

Hehe, indeed, though I'd hate to bring anything but my A-game in general. Not doing so is quite unwise. I found that out when I made a small mistake against you in the first fight we ever had, waaaay back in a tournament before guildfall. It was your knight (can't remember his name, maybe started with an "S") Vs. my character Casana.

You beat me quite soundly ^^;

Granted, I feel I've gotten much better since then, I imagine you've improved some as well, so it should be interesting to see how this goes. In my mind it's almost like a rematch.

Sigurd vs Casana, I remember it fairly well. I've definitely improved since then, but I can tell you have as well.

The Clockwork Man put the tree between them and jumped to the ground, I'm not entirely able to rationalise that movement with your character's actions. At what point has he moved around so the tree is not blocking his projectiles? Does he take any note of the Clockwork Man dropping down? Is he quick enough to do anything before the automaton's weight drops him to solid ground? Is he firing down from the canopy at the Clockwork Man? It would be difficult to do that in a fairly dense forest, lots of obstructions.

Not an issue as such, just unsure if you maybe misread my post or I misread yours in regards to locations.

I probably was too vague with location. Yes, Ananze moved so the tree no longer obstructed his aim. Ananze while not fast in the way a speedster character would be is agile, flexible, and very practiced at moving through trees so covers metaphorical ground very swiftly. As to the throwing, these shots were not said to be silent if I remember correctly, so it's more likely that Mr. Clock (just saying this so I don't have to type his whole name every time we talk OOCly) would be able to hear the rustling somewhat this time.

As to obstructions in the forest, Ananze may not have great normal vision, but he can see anything his web is attached to like a bright light. Granted the mana in those webs is very little so it would be little more "bright," to someone else as a flash light with a dying battery in an unlit room. So yeah, he did re-position. Also, Mr. Clock being on the ground would make him an easier target not a harder one as being in the trees means that Ananze has to potentially throw through even more foliage to hit his target(s), whereas on the ground such is less likely.

As to where I said Ananze moved. First paragraph near the end
Flinching at the contact, the daedri's many eyes narrowed briefly before the arachnoid sprung into a blur of movement.

Mind you I can entirely see how that could be misconstrued as the beginning of the next sentence where he throws the projectiles.

Dunno if I agree with you there, we didn't really agree on how high the canopy is but considering this is a magic forest, I would have said it would be pretty high. Maybe as high as thirty or forty meters off the ground. In a forest, that much clear space is pretty much impossible to find. You either have the branches of the tree going downwards or you have the trunks of the tree on a horizontal plane.

In other words, your character is going to find it nearly impossible to actually hit the Clockwork Man with something as dense as a ball of web as he runs through the forest, if he remains in the canopy. At least without clearing out like five or six thick branches before it gets to him.

I dunno, I don't want to no-sell but I don't really understand the positioning or the nature of the attack so I can't really do it justice. Could you reference where the Clockwork Man is in future when you're launching these sort of attacks? It helps with timings and the like.

Alright. Sorry for the trouble. I just figured if you were standing higher up there would be more branches to go through to hit Mr. Clock than if you were closer to the ground.

As this is a supernatural forest I'm going to guess the canopy height is probably slightly above average for Earth, which means you're looking at about fifty meters. You've described the canopy as being thick enough to conceal your character completely from view, which I can only presume means we're in an incredibly dense forest with very leafy (and branchy) trees.

In other words, hitting the Clockwork Man with your character's projectiles from fifty meters away is going to be nigh on impossible. He would struggle to do that with his pistol. If you stay in the canopy we're probably just going to stalemate.
