Wolf Blitzer: ...Alright, I'm gonna have to interrupt you there. It's 6PM eastern time, and polls are closing in three states. Indiana, Kentucky, and South Carolina. Let's look at the projections...We can project that Donald Trump has won the state of Indiana....Donald Trump has also won the state of Kentucky, and yes indeed, South Carolina as well. No surprises here, of course. This gives Donald Trump 28 electoral votes, and Secretary Clinton so far having zero.

Anderson Cooper: We can also project Republican victories in the senate races in Kentucky and South Carolina. Indiana remains too close to call.

WB: It's 7PM eastern time, and we have poll closings in Florida, Georgia, Vermont and Virginia...In Florida, it is too close to call. Georgia is too early to call, keep in mind that this does not mean it is too close to call, but we have simply not received enough information to make a call. Vermont has been called for Secretary Clinton, however. And like Georgia, Virginia is too early to call. Virginia, Tim Kaine's home state.

AC: I'm actually excited to see Georgia. Polls have been too close for comfort for Donald Trump, so it turning blue is not out of the question.

The Electoral College at 7PM Eastern

WB: 7:30 Eastern time, we have poll closings in Ohio, North Carolina, and West Virginia. Please, stand by for CNN projections on these states. Right now, CNN projects that Donald Trump has won the states of North Carolina, Ohio, and West Virginia

AC: "We are also receiving calls from the last batch of states." Anderson Cooper here visibly gulped and asked to hear the results again, thinking he misheard. As a professional journalist he managed to control himself, but slight tells of body language shouted his disbelief. "Florida, Georgia, and Virginia have gone for Donald Trump....I repeat, CNN projects that Donald Trump has won the state of Florida and its 29 electoral votes, the state of Georgia, and the state of Virginia. The Republican Party has also maintained control of Florida's hotly contested senate seat. Donald Trump, currently ahead in the electoral college with 124 votes to Secretary Clinton's three.

WB: We have a long night ahead, but the Clinton campaign HQ must be sweating right now.

The Electoral College at 7:30PM Eastern Time

Donald J. Trump | @realDonaldTrump

Thank you Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, Ohio, and Virginia, and West Virginia! Almost halfway there this early! Amazing!

Half an hour later, thirteen states closed the polls.

AC: Sorry Kate, I'm gonna have to interrupt you there. We have poll closings in nineteen states, count them, nineteen! We are calling what we can right now. We're receiving the projections now, and CNN is calling that Donald Trump has won Alabama, no surprises there. Secretary Clinton has finally scored some badly-needed wins in Connecticut and Delaware, as well as the District of Columbia. Illinois for Secretary Clinton, Kansas has gone for Donald Trump. Maine remains too close to call, but Maryland has comfortably gone for Secretary Clinton. The Commonwealth of Massachusetts with its eleven electoral votes, goes for Secretary Clinton! We're also projecting that Michigan has gone for Secretary Clinton.

CNN calls Missisippi and Missouri for Donald Trump. New Hampshire and New Jersey are too close to call. Oklahoma, the most Republican state in the union, has been called for Donald Trump. Pennsylvania joins Maine and New Hampshire as being too close to call, but Rhode Island has thrown its three votes behind Secretary Clinton. South Dakota, no surprises there – CNN projects South Dakota for Donald Trump, together with Tennessee and Texas.

WB: Rhode Island has four votes, Anderson
AC: My apologies- Rhode Island with four votes, for Secretary Clinton
WB: Secretary Clinton is finally on the board after her victories in New England, but Donald Trump still has a commanding lead in the Electoral Vote.
In Pennsylvania, CNN projects that Senator Barnett, the Republican Incumbent, has won his re-election bid. Republican Hold in Pennsylvania’s senate race.

WB: it is 8:30 eastern time, and polls are closing in Arkansas. CNN projects that the state of Arkansas has gone for Donald J. Trump. Furthermore, the state of Maine has gone for Secretary Clinton, however Donald Trump has won Maine's Second Congressional District. For the first time, Maine's electoral vote has been split with Trump taking one of Maine's four votes. New Hampshire has also gone for Donald J. Trump.

AC: We are now seeing images from the Clinton campaign HQ. The atmosphere is heavy, dark, and silent. Meanwhile Trump Tower is electric, this red island in blue New York City is alive and overjoyed, basking in the victory they are nearly certain of. Donald Trump, twenty-five votes away from the presidency with barely over half of the states in the union counted.

The Electoral College at 8:30PM Eastern Time. Pink states are Blitzer's map magic.

WB: It's hard to see Secretary Clinton winning from now on. If we are to activate a number of heavily Republican states, we are looking at 285 votes for Donald Trump. Again, polls have not closed here, we cannot call these states as of yet.

Donald Trump Jr. | @DonaldJTrumpJr
Pack it up, Hillary!

WB: 9PM eastern time, and polls are closing in eight states. Before we begin, we are going to revisit a projection. The State of Michigan has in fact been won by Donald Trump. Mr. Trump has also won the states of Arizona, Colorado, Louisiana, Nebraska, and Wyoming Wisconsin. Secretary Clinton has won New York and Minnesota. Furthermore, in a historical upset, the state of New Mexico seems to have been won by Gary Johnson.

With a slightly shaking voice, Anderson Cooper continued.

AC: These results put Mr. Trump on 307 votes, over the top. CNN can project that Donald J. Trump is the forty-fifth president of the United States of America

After saying this and the graphic above appeared on screen. It was followed by Anderson Cooper walking off quickly walking off the set with Blitzer calling to cut the microphone after a clear string of defeated profanities filled the airwaves. Five minutes later r/The_Donald, the subreddit for Donald Trump supporters, was already memeing away on it.

All throughout the evening, the media was distraught and flabbergasted. As a result, a quick-talking Conservtive Jewish radio show host in California decided to break it down for them.

Ben Shapiro: You could actually hear Anderson Cooper storming off in rage. Has anyone looked through various channels and seen the reaction of the liberal and left-wing media? It's nothing short of hilarious. They have encapsulated themselves with their Hollywood friends and never ran into anyone who intended to vote anything but Hillary Clinton. They have been spouting their lies so hard and stood in an echo chamber for so long they could not fathom any idea other than theirs was possible, let alone dominant. Now on MSNBC Rachel Maddow could barely control herself and asked how this could happen. You know what, Rachel? I'll tell you and all your colleagues what happened. You made the silent majority even quieter and even bigger.

You made support for Donald Trump such a thought crime that saying anything about him that wasn't completely negative was met with disgust. You have dragged down the standard of arguing so low, and have done so with your noses up so high that you didn't consider that this might have a backlash. You forgot that there are many people out there, from coast to coast, who think that Hillary Clinton's e-mail server wasn't just a mistake, but a breach of federal law. There are people who will not be told that her scandals are minor or non-issues, or that her record of corruption is better than Donald Trump's unorthodox vocabulary. You have been ignoring the flaws of a candidate that turns out is so disliked that she wasn't just hit out of the park by Donald Trump, but that for the first time since 1968, a third-party candidate won a state. And this isn't even a good third-party candidate, this is a guy who didn't know what Aleppo was when it was headline news across the world, this is a guy who couldn't name a single foreign leader. This is the libertarian candidate that turned its back on libertarian principles. But now, New Mexico's five votes are going to them. And at this rate it's possible they broke 5% of the popular vote.

You have stood in your echo chamber for so long and got so comfortable there you forgot about your opposition. And the only way you could be reminded it existed was by this victory, which is frankly a landslide.

After all the votes have been counted, this would be the electoral college of 2016.

After Trump reached 307 votes in the electoral college Trump Tower, the red island in the big blue sea of New York, went berserk. It seemed as if every Republican in New England came to the blocs surrounding Trump Tower and into Central Park. Shortly after 9:15, Donald Trump came out to the podium that had been prepared and came out to meet the crowds.

What a crowd! So, I just received a phone call from Secretary Clinton, congratulating me on my victory. The crowd went berserk, forcing Trump to wait a moment before continuing. On my part I would like to thank Secretary Clinton for her grace in defeat, and for a good competition in the election. We have had our...differences, but all in all I enjoyed the campaign trail and I hope she did as well. I would also like to extend a special congratulation I would like to extend to governor Gary Johnson, who has for the first time in nearly fifty years won a state for a third ticket. And finally I'd like to ask you all a simple question. You ready? It's a simple question?

Are you tired of winning yet?!

Nine blocks and a corner of central park seemed to shout "No" in unison. I didn't think so! Alright, so here's the deal. If you're not tired of winning, we're gonna win more! We've won this election, we're gonna win on trade, we're gonna win on immigration, we're gonna win on education, on the economy, and everywhere else! And we're gonna win so hard that you will get tired of winning at some point in the next four years!
