I thought off-handedly that people hadn't taken one to get to Lustre but reading through the first post it looks like we actually did do that. My bad. Edited appropiatly ^.^

Apologies I just got around to this, but the OCs here are all more or less ok. My only issue is with Hemlocks semblance. It doesn't really seem to have a drawback and eliminating a person within 5 minutes seems like he'd win a lot of direct confrontations with relative ease.
Also whilst I do want to keep the focus on the first years, @Sho Minazuki has 2 second year OCs too, figure it's best if you two work out arrangements for the second year team.

It's not overpowered though.

For instance against a dedicated duelist like Asher, he probably wouldn't last one minute, since he can easily and very quickly overwhelm him with essentially a 2-man assault, and variable moveset. The semblance seems better fitted against large groups and in long engages.

That being said, it is overpowered in the sense that he just has to hide for 5 minutes to win a fight, which is incredibly boring. In the case of my two characters Krahe and Shaoqing, who both fulfill the same role as he does in their respective teams, they are much more useful, and fair, simply because they can act much sooner than 5 minutes. Shaoqing requires the right moment to assassinate his targets with his lightning blades, and Krahe wittles down his opponent by dancing around them and just out of reach while throwing his needles at them, his semblance letting him escape bad situations.

@Shadow Daedalus, I have a better idea for your character's semblance. Why not make them into a sniper who thrives in the shadows? Maybe his semblance drains the light from immediate chosen areas, so he can hide in plain sight and fire off his arrows and reposition from relative safety and unexpected positions. Maybe it can even be used to hide one or two allies to help them move in.

A 5 minute timer for a battle where your objective is to wait, hide, and stop them from finding you, is pretty boring, not to mention is very difficult to work in an RP, as it's very hard to keep a timer to figure out when time is up.

@Sho Minazuki The intention was to has a poison-based semblance (Hemlock is a quite potent poison), but I guess the shadow thing can work.

Well you can still use poison, I just think it needs more of a drawback or something to stop him just blocking. As a further idea, perhaps just one strike of the poison is not that strong and it needs more strikes to actually instill a stronger dosage and wear down aura faster.

If you want to use poison, I'd suggest a more interactive form, like being able to have unique access to a kind of poison dust element by applying your semblance to it. Say you apply it to your fire dust arrows, you get an acidic fire arrow, or to ice, you get a frostbite arrow.

Are we allowed to have multiple characters btw? Just asking because word document where I write down ideas for OC's is overflowing.

Also I will work on Li-Wei's CS soon, it's just the middle of the work week so it's a little tough.

Depends really. Family and outside characters are fine, maybe a second year or third year team after your main OC is in, but for now it's best to focus on your main one and we can talk additional later.
Though feel free to share ideas if you want to, I know i'd sure read it and i'd imagine the others will have interest.

@CadenGallic I was planning the two characters be third year, they were written with that in mind. I think it'd be more interesting for Krahe to graduate first, for his manhunt on his "siblings".

@CadenGallic I would prefer to finish Li-Wei's sheet before getting too far into it, since he will be my focus.

Intentionally so, a simple request has suddenly become an act of restoration of honour and Terrance ain't bending to no man.

You can describe the feelings of characters as well as in description refer to what they have chosen to do.

I'm more or less upset everyone else ignored it as I expected Silas and Terrance to. Think about it, the request was perfectly reasonable to an outsider in this scuffle, but to Silas and Terrance they would honestly want to ignore it.

Sho is my name, the character is Asher.

@Shadow Daedalus so what say you?

I would normally drop these issues, but this actually undermines my character too much as he isn't identified as the asshole in this affair. Terrance is, and quite clearly from the get go. Plus this didn't get turned into a neutral, it went to favor Silas and Terrance.

Plus Venator is a Faunus, and was given academy or prison as his options. I'd say he should be pretty biased about this.

@CadenGallic@Sho Minazuki Ven is more interested in stopping a fight before it starts, but if push came to shove he'd be backing Asher. He saw what happened, so he's biased against Terrance

Indeed, Asher would prefer this didn't need a fight. It's a test of Asher's beliefs and enforcing it against Terrance and Silas' pride. He doesn't like seeing the little guy get trampled on. He's seen his fair share already.

I'll post later though, phone is a bit difficult.

That said, I think a neutral result with a teacher intervening is the best solution without undermining the characters present.
