Depending on how soon you can enter, the current mission will go on for about a month (OOC time). If you can pump out a sheet within a week or two, then we'll find you some way to integrate you into a mission. If you want to wait a bit, we'll just have you start in Dawnstar for the next destination.

Skillwise, restoration, pickpocketing, mercantile, heavy armor and woodworking are uncommon in the group. Oh, and provisioning too, a lot of our characters are getting sick and tired of eating Tamrielic McDonald's.

I believe we haven't had a female Redguard yet.

I had a few character ideas; the one I'm leaning on strongest is a Breton sword-for-hire, based on the landsknechts, Swiss and other mercenaries of the medieval and renaissance eras. Maybe his heritage gives him a little magical aptitude on the side.
Or perhaps he could be a knight-errant.

Looking at the equipment guidelines and in keeping with ES lore, I suppose I'll have to save my plans for a revolutionary with a sentient sword for another RP.

I'm sure you can think of something, most of this game's characters have something that makes them a little unique. My character is being shadowed by a spectral mentor modeled after the Hero's Shade in Twilight Princess, for one, and Marcel is a walking magic EMP

Sentient sword, you say?

It's totally this, isn't it?

Should we use knightly orders established in TESII: Daggerfall, or might we be allowed to come up with our own? I was thinking of a knight originally in service to Wayrest & the Valois, either fleeing the civil strife after incurring some kind of loss, or going on an errant journey to Skyrim.

You can come up with your own. I say the Daggerfall orders are the major ones, and you can make up some less prominent orders.

It's pretty fair game to think up Knightly Orders of your own. It'd be a stretch for a Knightly Order to last several hundred years in High Rock without being absorbed or reinvented.

Cool stuff. I think I'm aiming at a knight, then - a retainer of Valois that managed to survive the pirates' takeover, who resents High King Ferrand & Daggerfell's refusal of aid when Wayrest needed it in the first place. His oaths of loyalty force him to take Everard III's side. Now I just need an excuse to have him roaming Skyrim instead of fighting the good fight at home. I suppose that's where affiliation with an order might come in, but I haven't decided any more than that.

@gcold@Leidenschaft@Dervish

Just a quick heads up for this upcoming week! I will be out of town from Tuesday until late Friday evening for some training going on at my business headquarters. As such, I will not be able to post during this time. Anything posted between Tues-Fri, I will catch up on when I return, and if need be, have a post up for my characters.

Sorry for the lack of move along post, Firewatch guys. I'm recovering from a surgery so I kinda am stuck writing when I'm feeling well enough to focus.

I'll try for tomorrow.

Firewatch Update

Say hi to your new friend, guys!

This is a small intermission in the mission to give the characters a breather, a chance to have a quick chat, heal up, grab a bite, and so on so forth as well as get our incapacitated characters back into the land of the living.

Sevine, Keegan, and Rhasha'Dar, if they choose to join in the hunt for the pyromancer, will suffer a -2 on dice rolls on account of their injuries- and their next time going down may prove to be fatal. Everyone else who has sustained injuries will have one damage penalty removed from their rolls going forward as it is assumed they will have had some kind of healing potion or spell used at this juncture.

Sorry for the rambly and lackluster nature of that last post, once more, I'm feeling like a bag of troll droppings. :D

Plot continuation will happen sometime next weekend, or after everyone's had a chance to post/ do a quick collab.

Have fun, kids! You just murdered a bunch of salads with a side of doge, you tough motherfuckers. Revel in your victory.

I'm definitely going to have Sevine stay behind. Were it only her arm, she would continue on, but seeing as it is both arm and leg that are injured, she'll feel she's going to only hold up the group. I assume during this time, her injuries will heal via health potion, but as the effects aren't immediate, she'll have to be wary. After all, she's gotta make sure she gets back in one piece to see her beloved lil kitteh (;

Rhasha will probably stay behind too - being shish kabobed by tree people doesn't do wonders for the internal organs. Besides, while he's behind he can maybe forage for some ingredients once he's up top it, and make some potions for everyone. If the shitstorm get's shittier, some health potions may come in handy.

Safe to say Keegan learned his lesson pretty well at this point. His head's so messed up that he can't even walk straight.

Keegan will cower cover the rear.

Bthamz: two more days to respond, not responding equals not peeking out. Of course, you can always respond and stay behind.

So far, the battle guys are Karth, Sagax, Solveig and Sadri.

The next dice roll will feature hit probability based on number of attackers. Hlaalu guy rolls a ten side dice, everyone rounding the corner is a number to be hit. So he misses again on 6 to 9, 10 for friendly fire, 1 hits Karth, 2 hit Sagax, 3 hits Solveig and 4 hits Sadri. Upon hit, another roll determines injury.

The archer also gets a similar roll, but Sagax will go first on his attack. If Sagax attacks successfully, the archer will not shoot. Another person can also rush the archer for a better chance of success.

Two melee enemies attack random targets, determined by dice.

Solveig has a chance to block, which completely negates injury. She also has a smaller chance of blocking for a teammate on defense.

Other close range people have to pick between attacking forward or getting in defensive formation. Ranged fighters can interrupt enemy archers while remaining in defense.
