((I've gotten so many hits in the PMs. You guys are amazing. So I gotta update this and close some of the ones that are full. Might even have to stop taking new partners soon.))
Well hello everyone. First things first, User ID aside, you can call me Josh, which is a lot less weird to me than addressing me by my screen name. I guess it's obvious why I'm here, and you're probably after the exact same thing. Pizza. No - wait... Wrong forum. Roleplay. (I'm not sure there is even a pizza forum but my God if there is, I'm *there*!) Anyway, I guess I should start with a little about me, so you'll know if I'm someone you're interested in writing with.
About Me (I'm assuming I have to title these sections because everyone else does.)
I've been at this role play thing for probably somewhere going on a decade now. Arguably long enough to know better. But I can't help myself. I was active -sort of- on this forum about a year ago, and then my muse kind of died off and I stopped enjoying the writing. So I've taken a break, and now I'm feeling the urge to write again. Yay! As a result of how long I've been doing this, I've gotten to a level where I can write, not to brag, but I'd say pretty well. I'm quite literate. And a tad verbose on occasion. I can pen anything from a few paragraphs to a few pages, based on a combination of my mood, and where we are in the story. I've been told by some of my partners that I write at an advanced level, but I don't like to think of it that way. I like to think of myself as a casual writer, mostly because of my attitude toward it. Role Playing *GAME*, right? It's for fun. So I'm not going to have a laundry list of BS rules. I'm the one asking you guys to write with me, after all, so turning around and acting all high-horse is kind of a dick move. That whole beggars and choosers thing. I will lay out a few "hey please" kind of things in a second, but I'm super willing to work with anyone that's fun to write with and talk to, and that's more important than any other expectation. Oh! This is important, just so you know, and it'll probably be a deal breaker for a lot of you super active types. I'm busy. There's a lot going on with me. So I can't reply 2 and 3 times a day, or probably even once a day. Every few days, to a few times a week, is about how long it generally takes me to put together something that I'm happy with.
About You
Like I said. No hard set rules. But, maybe knowing how I think will help you decide if we could be partners or not. Not everyone meshes well. So here we go. As I said, I actually enjoy the reading and writing. So my ideal partner would too. When I write up something longer than my partner expects, and get "TLDR" as a reply, (No really. That's a thing that has happened.) that person is not my ideal partner. Or if someone wants an RP more focused on speed and pace and events rather than characters, that's also something I find hard to work with. The simple *He goes to a place and says a thing* posts don't do it for me. I can't work with that. Not to say they're bad, they're just not how I get down. I want to know about the characters. What are they thinking? What are they feeling? Same thing holds true with certain ways of writing. Some of my favorite games have been with people who were learning my language as a second language. So it's not about perfection. But effort is awesome. Hell, I make mistakes so I'm not going to be a jerk about it, there's probably even more than a few in this post. But I can't write well with people who just don't care at all.
Care and Feeding of our RP
A few other things I think are worth mentioning, but I don't know where they go so I'm just going to leave them here. Firstly, I enjoy playing multiple characters, so if you also did, that'd be great. There are way more than just two people in the world. But my *most main* (mainest?) characters are usually male, as it's easier to be inside my own psyche. I'll have female characters as well though. If you want romance in the story, let me say up front I'm really only any good and writing man and woman romance. Nothing wrong with any other kind, I just don't do it justice in writing. I've already addressed my level of activity, or sometimes inactivity as it were, so I'm not going to get on anyone's case there. People will write when they can, and I understand that. As far as manner of writing, I have a hard time fitting in with people who write first person. I'm sorry. I just do. Last but not least, the big one is communication. If we're in a game, and you're not happy, ask me to change something. That's cool. I'd rather work with that than lose a partner. If you just don't want to write with me any more, please let me know that, too. Though even if you don't I'll probably still not really hold it against you for very long. Shit happens. I've been an imperfect partner myself so I get it.

Now, on to the good (at least in my opinion) stuff. I just can't get behind the word "pairings" really. Unless I'm sneaking up on it to kill it. Rather than figure out what two kind of characters we should lock ourselves into, I prefer to come up with story ideas, and then we can just be whomever we want in that story idea. I guess I should call these ideas 18+ for content. Not because of anything sexual, though I'm fine if that happens, and also fine if it doesn't. No, when I say mature, I refer more to emotional and/or intellectual maturity. So that. However you say that.
Roleplay Ideas
Emergency / Disaster / Survival Stories
Medieval-ish Fantasy Stories
Other Stuff
In addition to those more fleshed out ideas, I also have some vague story-bugs dancing around in my brain that would require more development before I put them down on paper. But if you want to help me with any of that, I'll at least mention them. I do like plotting and world development so maybe you've got similar ideas we could smush up together?
Undeveloped plot ideas
*Something Involving Pirates
*Something Involving SPACE Pirates
*Some kind of Sci-Fi story, either involving a human taken away by another race, or some extra-terrestrial being alone on Earth for whatever reason.
*A western story involving cowboys, angels, demons, and trying to prevent the apocalypse. I dunno I said these would require work, this one feels like a comic book swimming around in my brain.
*Something along the lines of a Tokusatsu hero story.
