Name: Fergus Kupric
Affiliated Region: United Kingdom
Code Name: Metal
Age: Looks to be around 20, reports suggest to be over 40
Gender: Male
Abilities:
Metallic Coat- Fergus is able to "learn" the properties of any metal he touches which allows him to coat himself in that metal. The effect is quick but isn't immediate, and the more metal that comes into contact with his skin, the faster he is able to produce them. However the effect isn't permanent, Fergus will "forget" after a period of time which causes his metal coat to crumble into dust and he will have to touch that metal again to regain his armor.
Enhanced Strength & Agility- To compensate for the weight of the metal, Fergus was granted superhuman strength and speed. He is able to dodge hits easier when not fully armored, but when he is fully coated, he's slowed slightly but better able to brush off hits depending on the metal.
Metallic Claws and Sword- Fergus is an expert in close combat, besides punching with his metal fists, Fergus forms his nails into metal claws for quick cuts. He is also able to form a makeshift sword with his forearm given some time.
Back Story: Fergus was a champion martial artist and one of many to be recruited into the U.K.'s secret Project M.E.T.A.L(Men Enhance Their Appearance Lethally). Instead of creating weapons for soldiers, scientists decided to make the soldiers themselves the weapon. They created a serum that theoretically allowed humans to "learn" a certain metal, produce and control them through their bodies to form weapons of their own. This project came close to failing as all but one candidate managed to survive the serum. The rest could not control the production of the metal and turned their whole bodies into steel, worse are those who fail the final stage of controlling the metal and end up locking themselves in a prison of their own metallic body.
Fergus was the only one to survive the whole ordeal, and the scientists believe the key is in his genes. They trained him in armed combat, and any time they needed to assault a heavily fortified location they sent him, a one man army armed with nothing more than a chromium ball which allowed him to coat his hands almost instantly and his whole body after a while. He lead a relatively normal life with family and friends, but he is often cooped up in the lab when off duty for scientists to draw his blood to create the perfect serum.
However they never could produce the right serum, every time the test subjects would suffer like those who took the initial serum, and it was never found out how exactly did Fergus accepted the serum. Fergus also came to notice a side effect of using his powers, every time he sheds off the metal, his skin would grow anew, making him look as if he was as young as the first day he got his powers. Tired of watching innocents suffer for the dreams of some mad scientists and watching people around him grow old while he looks young, he single-handedly destroyed a maximum security laboratory and killed off all the scientists to stop the research from continuing. Knowing his capabilities, the government decided not to pursue him but kept him on constant surveillance.
Now Fergus never uses his powers, but he has always kept his chromium ball handy in case any trouble arises.
@Flightless_SoulI have a couple of points to discuss about your character. 1. The camouflage. Is a limit in terms of duration and the extent of invisibility? Like, is she completely gone or is it like the Predator where there is a distorted outline? 2. The gaseous state, I'd stay this is a bit much, but I'll wait for another GM to chime in on this issue before we proceed.
@alxmnWe can use a little more detail about the character : P But, as it is, I need clarification the regeneration part. Wolverine has regenerated from basically a cellular level. We won't be allowing something that crazy so please clarify.
@AxelIf you say your characters all love tea and not coffee then you're good. Nah, but for real, the Hade's Marking. How much can he 'absorb'? Also, Super-Jag, how long can he stay like that?
Technically, Seven has no limit. If Seven wanted to absorb a 40 story building, then Seven would absorb a 40 story building. The problem with that is that the time it takes for Hade's marking to spread throughout objects vary in time depending on the object's height, width, and length. For example, Seven could break down a tv in a matter of seconds but breaking down something as big as a 40 story building would take an hour at the bare minimum and that's me putting it lightly. Also, Seven has to create something within a certain time period of absorbing the mass otherwise, it'd dissipate.
The frenzied Jaguar can stay in that form forever...or for extremely long periods of time.
"Johnny's trusty shotgun. It's range may be somewhat short, but if you get hit by it you'll explode (Literally!). The mercenary himself has no idea how he named this gun."'Is he utilizing some kind of explosive rounds for this shotgun or?
And Lastly: "Wolverine has regenerated from basically a cellular level. We won't be allowing something that crazy so please clarify." This^
Nice theme song btw ^-^
@xChrome Not sure if you were a fan of Ben 10 when it aired but your char feels like the combination of both Greed and Kevin 11. He seems pretty neat but having a vibranium ball with your chars ability is a definite no no. Even though his metal mimicking fades after awhile, Fergus can constantly reapply the same vibranium metal coating on him if he carries it around like an accessory. And unlike Captain America, Fergus would become nearly invincible to almost all forms of damage if his skin becomes the same material as the Captain's shield which is considered by many to almost virtually indestructible.
@KillBox Sorry for the double post but this one makes more sense. Ahem.
"And when the Lamb had opened the fourth seal, the fourth living creature said, "Come and see." And I saw and beheld a pale horse, and the rider who sat upon him, whose name was Death..."
Name: She goes by many, The Wraith, The Black Hand of Death, Spooky, but the name that's stuck with her is just Shadow. Age: 23 Gender: Female Species: Human Affiliation: (Former) The Organization, a separatist group within the A.A.L. (All Asian League) (Current) None Country of Origin: Japan Current Location: Shibuya District; Tokyo
Weapons:
DMR-58 HEKATE SNIPER RIFLE
-Manufacturer: BemaTech Defense Contractors -Type: Semi-automatic Magazine Fed -Round: .308 Winchester (7.62x51mm NATO) -Range: Up to 800 yards out -Muzzle Velocity: 2,860 Feet per Second -Scope: 4x32 High power with adaptable lenses
"This rifle is quite compact, can be easily broken down for transport and fires highly damaging armour-piercing and hollow point bullets, using a detachable 15 round box magazine. Additionally, the high power scope has built in lenses adaptable to any level of light, even pitch darkness. Top that with the impressive range of this weapon and you have one hell of a gun for any assassin."
SB-10 CERBERUS PISTOL
-Manufacturer: Zenith Firearms -Type: Semi-Automatic Caseless Ammunition -Round: 10mm -Range: Up to 30 yards or more -Muzzle Velocity: 2,450 Feet per Second
The SB-10 was developed back in the early 2000s, most likely to replace the already outdated 9mm pistols the military had been carrying. However, this one was specially modified for special operations, utilizing a special caseless ammunition system, meaning you don't leave a trail of brass behind you. It also has a detachable suppressor for when you need to take your targets out nice and quiet. Now isn't that special?"
SIN & SORROW
Nothing much to say about these two babies. Sharp ass high carbon steel blades guaranteed to cut the heads off anyone who tries to mess with you. Not to mention they look pretty badass.
Special Abilities: Despite her already keen athleticism, sharpened senses, and deadly precision & accuracy with most firearms, Shadow was blessed by the serum with a new set of abilities, making her an even deadlier opponent on the field of battle. She could dash about at amazing speeds believed unreachable by a human, and even see farther than one. Her pain tolerance and durability was beyond normal as well, she could survive a fifty foot drop without a single broken bone.
There was also the matter of these other gifts. However, the effects of these newfound abilities are only temporary and are mainly used to give her a slight advantage over her adversaries. When these abilities are activated, strange blotches appear around Shadow's eyes, making them appear to be sunk in...like those of a corpse.
Diaspora
Somehow, the serum altered her molecular structure, allowing Shadow to break apart her physical being at will. This means, for a short amount of time, she can faze through solid objects such as walls and floors, whether to escape or to surprise her foes.
Ghost
A special form of biometric camouflage. In short, Shadow can easily disappear and reappear, blending into any environment for a short period of time. However, she can still be detected by heat signatures and x-ray vision of any sort. Also, she can be spotted easily by her faint outline by a well trained eye.
Short Bio:
Shadow never knew her true family. Her mother and father had disappeared six months after her birth, leaving her in the care of an orphanage in Osaka, Japan. By that time, she was under the name Takeda Ayame. By age seven, Ayame was kidnapped by a mysterious group known only as The Organization. The Organization erased any memories she had of her previous life, and surely enough, they began to mold her body and mind into that of a perfect killer, even going as far as to use an experimental serum codenamed X01. It was unclear who they worked for, but the girl was warned to never ask questions.
For years, the girl who would be known as Shadow was placed under the tutelage of a man she knew only as Master.
Master trained her in the deadly arts of the assassin. He taught her how to use firearms, how to fight with blades, improvised weapons, and her bare hands. He taught her how to kill her targets silently and efficiently. How to elude her enemies and avoid capture. And....how to feel no remorse...
By the time she was thirteen, Shadow had become the Organization's top assassin with numerous kills under her belt. She was well versed in many different languages, despite not being able to speak any, and she was a black belt in Krav Maga. For her, there was no other life than working for the Organization and her Master.
But...that all changed...
At fifteen, she embarked on what would be her last mission for the Organization, the assassination of the Japanese Prime Minister's teenage daughter, Masaki Reiko. Shadow assumed her former name of Ayame and went undercover at Reiko's boarding school in Tokyo. What she didn't expect however was her target becoming her closest friend...and eventually the love of her life.
Shadow and Reiko were together for about a year when Shadow revealed her secret, that she was an assassin sent to kill Reiko. Reiko was shocked at first, but nevertheless she managed to forgive Shadow. Soon enough, the Organization found out about Shadow's relationship with Reiko, ordering the both of them to be killed. Shadow knew she had put Reiko's life at risk and her own, and so, she decided the two of them would run away and live together in Okinawa. Sadly, this would be the last time she saw Reiko alive...
As she went to fetch Reiko from her house, it exploded before her very eyes in a ball of fire. Shadow knew Reiko was dead. The Organization had killed her...
Shadow, she had nothing now. The love of her life was gone, nothing left but ashes and cinders. It would be these very cinders though...that would spark the flames of vengeance.
Shadow turned herself in to the Organization a week after Reiko's death. No surprise, the Organization ordered her to be executed. Master would be the one to do it. As he drew his katana to behead his once greatest student, that's when Shadow attacked. She killed Master then launched an all out assault on the Organization's headquarters, killing as many as she could, not just for her, but for Reiko. Many dead were left in her wake, the entire headquarters damaged beyond any repair in the ensuing battle.
Finally, in one last act of defiance towards the Organization, Shadow threw herself out the window, plummeting into the raging sea below. Her body sank beneath the crashing waves and was gone forever.
The Organization believed she was dead.
...but she wasn't...
Twas either a miracle or a cruel twist of fate that she lived, but somehow she ended up washed ashore near Tokyo Bay. She enrolled herself once more in school under her alias Ayame and graduated, taking up a simple package delivery job afterwards. She was ready to live a peaceful life alone, a normal life.
But...there really is no such thing as normal.
Other:
Shadow doesn't speak, not a single word. She mostly communicates through facial gestures and body language or writing down her words on a small paper tablet she carries around. She rarely smiles either. To some, this makes her seem cold, distant, and not too friendly to approach. While Shadow does put off an intimidating atmosphere, she is friendly to some degree and will socialize with people, though it is difficult with her muteness.
The only color Shadow ever wears is black. She's not too fond of bright colors, but given the circumstances of her past, there isn't much brightness to be found in the poor girl.

@KillBox The coating lasts about 4-5 hours, but he can shed them at will if needed.
@Axel Yeahh, the appearance was inspired by Greed and I got the idea of his abilities from Kevin 11, will it be a problem? As for the vibranium ball, I would agree that it would be a bit overpowered, I just rationalized that since he worked at a lab he would get access to such rare metals, but no matter, I'll change it to something less indestructible.
@Flightless_Soul Phantom of Requiem? It's been awhile since I've watched that, I wished they had an extra season though. As for your char, it's pretty solid. Feels more like a low casual char than a free one though. But is there some sort of downtime after Ayame uses her abilities or?
@Axel Yes there is a cooldown time for Ayame's abilities. They're mainly a last resort since she relies more on her skills as an assassin to survive. Also, thoughts on The Organization? I do have in mind they are still active, and when they find out Shadow is alive, well...self explanatory.
@Flightless_Soul Well they sound like a bunch of cool cats. But considering how easily Ayame ripped them a new asshole the first time around, I don't really see them as being worthy adversaries...to me anyways. Still, I'm curious to see how they'd choose to go about it this time.
@Axel Well, I'm thinking Ayame was like a test subject to the Organization, and seeing how successful X01 was with her, they regrouped after Ayame's supposed death and began creating more genetically enhanced assassins to further their agenda. What that is...I'm still trying to come up with. All I have now is they are a separatist group of the AAL, terrorists obviously, and yes Ayame's parents did have a history with The Organization, hence why Ayame was selected for the X01 program.
These new assassins will be more powerful than Ayame, yes, but she could still hold her own against them.
Quick note. When we, the GMs thought of the idea for this RP, we wanted it to be quite carefree and simple. No intense characters, no complicated storylines. Just simple fun. Please keep that in mind moving forward ^__^
☣ When overwhelmed with any emotion, initiates Frenzy mode. ☣
During Frenzy mode, mouth extends outwards in a canine fashion whilst his pupils fade to grey. His teeth harden, lengthen and sharpen; once he has a hold of you his teeth burrow deep enough to reach bone, making it difficult to remove him. Some say his grip is as hard as iron - best to avoid at all costs.
Due to his transformation, his mind is only able to process information during weakened states, which is the only time he is able to pull himself out of Frenzy mode. He does not retain memories during Frenzy mode, however after and before are stapled in his mind for the rest of his life.
The reason he wears his muzzle at all times is to buy himself time as he is one to be easily overwhelmed so he wouldn't want to hurt those who doesn't deserve it.
