It basically just dematerializes the gold, turning it into pure energy which then is absorbed by the user who then channels it into his spells.

On a side note, if you hold the sword by using a piece of metal to do it, does it still affect the holder?

And, where the hell are the guards? I thought people would have already gathered and started throwing bets on who wins.

@Lucius Cypher uhh mate? You can't break that sword.. like bare handed while it's in you would be impossible.

First because Maria appears to have already yanked it out of his chest.
Second because you're suppressed. Still. You're also missing a lung and a good portion of your flesh was supposedly burned horribly.

You'll get your shattered blade another time, but it will be a group function. If it was so easily shattered they wouldn't keep making tombs for it.


She made it pretty vague, sounded like she was having a hard time just holding it. Not to mention that Malakaus was already holding the sword in his chest anyways, so how she's grabbing it by the hilt is beyond me. Also Malakaus is dying, not dead. And I figured his final act of defiance would be showing that despite everything he's been put through, he has at least enough strength to kill two things: the sword and himself. But I didn't have much else to do aside from slowly bleeding to death.

In my next post, hopefully when I get home tonight, I'll grab the sword and make the great escape while the heroes lick their wounded pride.
Then I'll prepare for the future ass whooping to come since you'll all know what Mithril can and will do.

@6slyboy6 Currently I'm in the process of creating my very own fantasy world for a fantasy RP I'll be creating in the coming months :P To put it simply, large-scale evil is going to fuck everything up and the cast can choose whether they want to do something about it :D I already have continents, countries, races, and the general outline of the plot done; I still need to work on physics (which is what I'm doing as I write this), biology (just plants and animals and possibly magic-eating creatures), the seas, landmarks, long-term history, fleshing of the short-term history, money, religion/s, technology (have a general idea; gotta flesh it out), systems of play (yes, I might do a system), and how the Hell everyone is gonna start, though that last one is probably the easiest to talk about :3

@6slyboy6 I mean the idea was to do it largely on my own :P Buuuuuuuuut I certainly don't mind if you had any suggestions for certain things? Currently what I'm really lacking in ideas for the moment are:

Biology, a bit of culture, religions, history, and maybe some geography :3 Of course, I can fill you in on contextual details for aforementioned subjects.

Question about Avery's scenario. Is he still standing? And what would happen if he were to lash out with his feet backwards? Or is it up to me to fill in such blanks?

Whomever this is could be in for a nasty surprise. Avery ain't no damsel in distress, he certainly knows his way around a fight. Though being blinded and bounded could be a huge disadvantage XD

Someone will get hurts in the yaknowhat. Yea, this type of thing is better in collab or something cause i cant write 2000 chars full with him only kidnapping avery...
