Alright, vague opening spiel aside, welcome to World Warriors: The Nomadic Fist. An RP that I've been meaning to do for ages now and I'm just about tired of just throwing around ideas in my head, and want to put it in motion. Basically, World Warriors is the result of my love of the fighting game genre, martial art movies, and anime. This RP will basically be a fighting game themed RP where martial artists are endowed with supernatural abilities either from their training, or their natural talent, and they go on a world spanning journey. Engaging in supernatural battles with other combatants powered by ki which has been described above.

If you are interested, give me a shout. There's a few things about the lore and setting I want to plan out with everyone to help me form a better idea of the world you all want to roleplay in. I'll discuss them when I get some people. Below is a FAQ (Lots of people asked these questions, shut up) I've assembled to explain the setting/lore in more in-depth.

Long-standing fighting game expert - and overall fan - here (also designed a few, but never programmed them into existence given my focus on my story project), so this has me interested -- this is actually something similar to a role-play I've been planning on bringing to the guild eventually and I've actually run an entire role-play site built around this fighting game concept (stuff like King of Fighters, Street Fighter, et cetera -- which all technically have their roots in anime anyway - subsequently why they often get turned into pretty decent anime - despite what some people think) -- though with a less light-hearted/humorous tone. I've had multiple ideas for role-plays like this in fact, some of which would resemble other fighting games more than the 'mainstream' ones.

I don't have a lot of time on my hands with all the multitask I'm doing on and off the site, and I usually GM role-plays instead of just take part in them (for several reasons), but I'll at the very least keep my eye on what happens here as long as I don't get too busy -- dunno if I'll actually join, especially with so many ideas of my own in mind and this sort of thing being one of them.

Good to see something like this up, either way.

Edit: That all being said, I've already got the groundwork of a character in my head, mostly because I've got plenty of ideas for this sort of role-play in the first place (as previously mentioned) and I usually can't stop the inspiration from hitting me -- being unable to switch off is a bitch sometimes.

I'm glad I have interest. I'm gonna discuss some of how the lore and sheet should be. But I'm with family.

Definitely interested if you still have room, considering the amount of people into the idea.

Also, do you guys want a pre-built lore... or do you just want a loose lore to build up from? Because I'm cool with either.

Think a loose lore would be the better way to go.

I think a loose structure is better, gives people something to work from while allowing more freedom as far as concepts and stories go.
