Astoria Nielsen
Female
27
Astoria Nielsen is a beautiful figure coming from a life of nobility, with her smooth milky skin and silky blonde hair that she pulls up to only reach her shoulders. She is no doubt a pretty thing with sharp features on her face with an undeniable willful air around her that is to be noted. With once unique golden amber eyes that have glowed with intense emotions to an eerie moonlight yellow. As she once was a noble, for more social events she would prefer to wear simple yet elegant dresses. In more athletic pursuits, she is more than capable enough to wear light armor underneath her cloak and over her clothing which would prevent most swords to bounce off and deflect some bolts.
Astoria Nielsen's is a master of many kinds of weaponry that it would be foolish to challenge her even in an unfair match. She perhaps would only be defeated if a superior advantage in numbers would to surround her and even then, more than enough of them would be cut down before she would be captured. With her athleticism, she would fair far better than those who are in her social circle and would rival a trained fighter from her practice. From her training, she possesses the instinct of a warrior that has honed her senses to be above the average human normally that can be called a 'sixth sense' in a way.
Astoria Nielsen's Powers
- Body and Form: Astoria has been given the powers of enchanted physiology from The Outsider as her starting ability. As a passive effect, it boosts her all of her physical abilities which are already quite high to be near the peak of human capabilities. Augmenting her durability, speed and strength at the same time to make her an impressive fighter but does little beyond that which perhaps may be a good thing. This ability can also be activated with the consumption of her magical resources to increases her physical abilities even more but damages herself in return from surpassing the limits of what the human body is capable of even with her new durability. Treat this as Agility and Edurance into the same skill and will take up two power slots.
- Limited Blink: Astoria's ability to blink is significantly inferior to perhaps most of the others who have the mark. With her weaker ability, she is only capable of moving from surface to surface and cannot simply choose where she wants. It is possible for her to reach different heights by maneuvering on walls and such but cannot move through spaces that her own body wouldn't be able to. Requiring multiple uses to travel at a time depending on the location that she wishes to travel at.
- Windshield: Astoria's ability when activated, gathers a dark wind that collects around her which protects her from projectiles and melee attacks. Burning through her magical resources quickly for as long she holds this ability up, her movement is halved when this ability is activated. The only thing that perhaps would breach through this shield is an explosive force of some sort to dissipate the wind and thus ending the effect.
- Bend Time: Astoria's ability to bend time that allows her to move faster than human recognition, she is unsure how it would work with others who bear the Mark of The Outsider. It simply allows her to be more flexibile with the laws of time at this level, allowing her to expierence the world in slow motion. Treat this ability like the first Dishonored.
Astoria Nielsen's was born to the noble family in Morley who are now all but extinct, except for her after the assassination of her uncle. He now dead triggered the start of a bloody war that ended with a usurpation of the throne which lead to a new figure to rule now that their family was weak. Claiming the throne was an easy feat against a weakened family which had been fighting against each other. With the new ruler quickly going into action by closing the island and promptly executing the trapped noble family. Astoria refrained from joining this bloody feud and sought out a husband for their political power that came along with their protection. However, upon hearing her family's death, all possible suitors were denied to her that would be advantageous or even equal for her. With nothing more than simple merchants or commoners to take her hand, she was powerless politically unless she wished to place a target on her back. So, she ditched her royal family's name and became the new girl under a different court as she changed her appearance as she entered the world of intrigue and nobility once again. Perhaps her secrets would unravel themselves, but these are the ones that will be taken to the grave whether it be with her or whoever finds out...
