The isles in peril, whales have vanished and now with no source of oil the world has changed yet again. Tyvia without it's guns and watch towers has fallen back into the hands of the princes and princesses who have pulled it from the empire. Without Tyvia, Morley soon fell into cause as years of hate and anti-empire sentiment has finally caught up to the Morley. The newly crowned king of Morley has declared Morley Independent of the Empire, so to the north the soldiers of Gristol and the Imperial navy are embattled heavily with these two nations.
Sekonos has only recent declared it's neutrality in the conflict and will not aid anyone one country. Instead the country flourished under it's young Duke, who has imprisoned the rightful Duchess. Worst of all, the however is in Gristol the aging Emperor Samuel has died and his grandson now rules the Empire. A council of advisers hold the true power waging war while the child Emperor stills through boring lessons ignorant to the truth of his country.
The Whale oil shortage has changed Gristol, only the guard now carry guns bullets with whale oil a precious commodity. Rifles are now used giving the guards ranged weapon of truly terrifying power, the gangs of the isle's have taken to using homemade 'boom' sticks. Propelling shrapnel made from glass, silverware, and other such items these dangerously unstable weapons do not use well oil but blasting power.
Pain echoes from the isle, the void calls to the people of isle's the abbey broken by war and corruption. Each day the Outsider finds more and more interesting people to offer his mark to, time and time again they prove boring or die doing the predictable. You have been given this mark, the Outsider himself has taunted and tricked you towards Gristol, Dunwall in a small bar that smells of piss and blood. The Hound Pits pub sits riverside, abandoned and disused it is a refuge a shrine to the Outsider and a cache of weapons left behind. You have been brought here to begin your quest, to take revenge for crimes against you. When it is over... The choices you made will decide if an empire lives or dies.
So the entire idea of this RP is based on a handful of people from around the isles who were chosen by the Outsider. Each of them has fallen from grace, lost something that makes them who they are. I would like each character from a very different background and more importantly from different isle's from an inventor to a swords woman. The idea of this is to tell the story of this small group who change and shape the course of Empire for ages to come.
