I did read the Elgi was on the roof, but I thought she was watching from afar and then joined. I didn't see how she'd see into the building, even if it is ramshackle unless she entered.

@DrunkasaurusRex Smell would be my answer, when everything around you moves at the pace of a snail and you've had centuries to hone your senses to the nth degree, knowing the difference between how two genders of a race smell is a small thing. However, if you wish, I can simply erase that.

Firstly, sorry if I sounded off, you take your time and we'll still be here.

Secondly, I assumed the building was so ramshackle - and assuming it only has one floor, as I've read it anyway - that there would be at least one hole in the roof through which to peer.

Thirdly, even though most Elves are pretty difficult to tell part gender-wise, she is a he...although a Dwarf would likely not bother making such a distinction anyway.

Just to clarify, Listec was on a rooftop far away, hopped over a load of roofs until he reached the one of the building we're at, and is now sitting in perfect stillness and gazing through a hole in the roof; if this sounds not plausible, then please tell me.

On second thoughts, some interaction would definitely be a good idea. So, if Listec could stop hiding, it would be good to eliminate (or create) some initial tension. It's not compulsory, but I thought some of you guys would appreciate it.

As much as I agree, why would he bother to show himself until their employer actually turns up?

I mean, he can pop in if you'd like, just don't see why he'd bother at this point...also I imagine it'd be funnier if he dropped in half-way through the meeting...'Suprise!'

...or not?

EDIT:

I am actually off to work now, but I'll be back in around...six hours; feel free to begin the meeting, Listec can hear it all anyway, or wait for me to get back and I'll post something up. The choice I leave to our masterful GM.

As a veteran GM of about 15 years, it is my firm belief that "badass loner" characters are universally harmful to party chemistry. If the entire party consists of badass loners, everyone just ends up standing around in their own dark corner with nothing happening, and if only one character is a badass loner, he usually just ends up being ignored by everybody else.

Just to clarify, he isn't a 'badass loner' - the meeting hasn't even started s yet and he's assessing the situation. He's a semi-paranoid Nagarythi who may well have killed members of both races present at one time or another; once we get going, he shall blend in as much as a High Elf can. Until then he's sat on a roof and I fail to see how you can assume such things from one post! I'm not some eejit out to ruin this RP, thank you all very much.

Right now everyone is off in their own corner, brooding, so I'm not singling out Jbcool. What I'm saying is you gotta be proactive when role playing. In a role playing game, much like in social situations in real life, the guy who sits in the corner by himself usually just gets ignored.

This is 1/10th of the post I was going to make on the subject. Apparently, I can write volumes on this stuff. I should get a YouTube channel or something to satisfy my ego.

Not that it really matters IC (If your dwarf thinks all humans think the same, that's normal), but OOC Bretonnia is well aware of the skaven. The furry fucks like to poke their head up and unleash a plague or two while trying to rob our lands every now and then.
