Hey guys! So I have a YouTube channel, ToothNClaw Gaming, and I was thinking of doing a let's play with Skyrim Special Edition. Would there be any interest here? It would be me playing though as a bard (using mods) until my character dies, then she is gone forever. I wouldn't be doing main quests, just side quests and adventuring, traveling from gold to hold in an attempt to become a famous bard/mage.
Pretty sure the "Play as a bard, do real bard things instead of being a bamf adventurer" thing, has been done before ... While it was funny the first time, I really wouldn't be interested in seeing the same thing again. Skyrim is a pretty meaty game, I'd rather a new spin on skyrim playthrough things, what that new spin is is anyones guess, but long story short,
NO, I wouldn't watch that kind of playthrough again unless something new and refreshing was introduced, just because its like the 10,000th Happy Wheels lets play. It's been done before, its funny for about 3 videos and then its just another irritating repetititive format thats been done to death then beaten with a stick. That said, its your life, your channel, if you want to do it and you enjoy it, go for it, personally I wouldn't watch, there are plenty of people who would.
> See, its been done a bajillion times before.
livinginoblivion.wordpress.comLiving in Oblivion already did it and loads of others have done it. If I wanted to watch that, it would have to be a YT star who brings something with the commentary or switches up the challenge. I can just play the game myself, I watch lets plays if they're games I don't have time to play but have an interesting plot, or if its the kind of game I know the lets player will add good commentary on.
I don't bother with skyrim because theres so many and they can be pretty dull. Theres a granny who plays Skyrim (and is pretty good), and I watched Ross from GG do a speed run because he's funny, but aside from that, I'd never watch a Skyrim letsplay unless it had a real good hook and "I'm gonna be a bard" isn't a compelling hook.
Hate to be a downer here, I really wish you the best with your channel, but if you want to get better, post premium content, I'm sure theres something really cool and new you can do. THink outside the box and really set the bar up there. Long story short, do it if you want to, if you want to reel in a larger audience, get a good hook or hooks to make your channel shine, Skyrim playthroughs usually aren't big hooks (for me at least).
