The purpose of this roleplay will be to allow you and all other members to develop characters, species, settings and civilizations in a way that allows for competition and feedback.
You will start out controlling 3 solar systems. Feel free to cram as many nations and species as you want into said space, or share it with other players. The actual story will be crafted from the perspective of narrators. (First person recommended, not obligatory.) You can create as many as you want, and you can also narrate from the perspective of random NPCs if that’s your preferred style. No third person omniscience.
Narrators require that you fill out a character sheet and are therefore offered greater protections. NPCs can be created on the spot but can be killed by other players without your permission. Narrators can only be killed with your permission or if you cannot come up with a feasible way for them to survive.
There will be an overarching plot, but it is secondary to world building and I will only implement it when things get a bit slow or when someone does something exceptional that warrants a reaction.
Public, interstellar transportation will be offered by yours truly if your nation agrees to a peace treaty with the Galactic Federation of Nations. If not then you must develop your own system and deal with Maritime Laws. (Space pirates anyone?)
There will be a system by which nations or private individuals can create missions for other players. Simply make a separate post in the IC with the details and wait for characters to sign up. Missions may be either legal, criminal or a bit of both.
It will be recommended that you post frequently when you are interacting with other characters directly. If you hold up an interaction for an unreasonable amount of time (determined on a case-by-case basis) I reserve the right to abort the interaction and allow the other participants to move their characters elsewhere. When you are interacting on an international scale, post as frequently or infrequently as you like.
Other:
No magic. Humans are acknowledged as existent, and you may create nations with them. If your species is humanoid looking, I recommend making them either a product of divergent evolution or genetic modification.
Anyone interested?
