Jesmand Cartchri

Location: The Bridge

This was not how things were supposed to go down, it was supposed to be a simple extraction of a couple of people and to have them brought back here for interrogation but no, it couldn't go that simply. Of course a fire fight had to break out, of course it had to be Jania to be the one to snap. If she lost her ship or her command over this she would personally put a bullet through Kordaths skull, he was in the one in charge of this mission. He was the one that had provided the intel. Yet she knew that was not how the Empire would see it. It would be on her head because she was the commander of this ship. While her wrath rolled down hill, responsibility rolled up hill and so she would be the one to pay the price for this fuck up no matter the outcome. Such was the weight on the Commadores shoulders right then.

"After that piece of junk and get it in the tractor beam before it gets out of range," Jesmand ordered before turning and seeing Kordath enter the Bridge. "Five minutes on the planet and you manage to get shot? By Jania? How in the fuck id that happen and where in the hell is Morgbra?" she demanded to know as the crew members of her ship took off and started to try to maneuver into position to catch that "shit" in their tractor beam.

Jaina Sarbye

Location: Raven Medical Bay

So this wasn't what death was then. The entire concept continued to confuse Jaina to no end. There was no way, as far as she was concerned, to tell the difference between life and death. She had been told to look for movement before, but she had kicked someone they said was dead before, and she saw him flinch! The galaxy must have been playing a trick on her, but Jaina tried not to let it bother her.

"Excuuuuse me, miss!" Jaina said, stretching slightly as she threw herself to her feet, doing an unneeded backflip in the process. "I have a name, ya know. Jaina Aurora Sarbye, but you might know me professionally as the Joker." Jaina did a slight courtesy, before looking in astonishment at Morgbra, as if forgetting he was there. "And that's our cheerleader. Apparently he's here too."

Her ear perked up slightly as she heard that fateful word: medical. Her eyes darted slightly, and she noticed the horrible, despicable place she was. Each time she blinked, images flashed back to her mind. Her heart beat accelerated, and she noticed the blonde man with the unusual eyes. This was all new, unfamiliar territory...

Her mind flickered back to what had happened before. She had seen...him. She had shot at Kordath. A soft smile played on her lips. He looked so funny when he fell, so surprised, so shocked. Maybe he'd like that new game, Jaina pondered, but her mind once more latched onto where she was. In any minute, the odd man would chain her to a bed. Her happiness would be stolen.

There was still the familiar weight of her weapons, but for some reason, Jaina didn't draw them. Instead, she practically cartwheeled backwards, until she was as far away from the medical bay as she could be, while remaining in Morgbra's sight. It was one of her most calm reactions to a medical bay in her life. Perhaps she still wasn't quite herself. Perhaps she was still the person who shot Kordath in cold blood.

@The Elvenqueen: Luke seems particularly focused on the console ahead of him by the time Stehrr gets inside, he glances over his shoulder towards the two of them, shaking his head as he looked back to the console and out the transparisteel window. "I don't give a damn where, once we're out of the gravity wells we can jump to deep space, then we'll worry about getting back to the republic." Luke was clearly in the moment, he wanted to get out of there before the Vindicator caught them, but it was already just about in range, unless Stehrr pulled out some decent maneuvers, they'd be caught.

@Lady Amalthea@The Elvenqueen@Morose: The commotion around the med bay draws the attention of HK, the droid wandering closer as it looks between Jaina and Morgbra for a few moments. "Query: Are these unfamiliar meatbags here to be blasted? I can't help but notice the Imperial insignia on this one." As it watched Morgbra, it was hard to tell if HK was serious or not with his dull and monotone voice, but the blaster in his hand was real enough. It was hard to blame the droid acting on instinct, but at least he hadn't blasted the poor doctor just yet.

@Lady Amalthea: Luck seems to be at least somewhat on Jesmand's side finally. The Vindicator is moving quick, the crew has had it closing the distance since Kordath called them, and they're already just about in range to engage the tractor beam. Provided things go well, they would have the freighter soon. However, word travels fast in the outer rim, especially in the Imperial circles, just as Jesmand was thinking of her position, a communications ensign spoke up. "M-Ma'am, Commodore, Grand Moff Keller is insisting you contact him immediately." Not only Jesmand's highest superior, but the Imperial Moff in charge of all remaining outer-rim forces, this was not a good day for her. "Should my report wait until before, or after the meeting?" Kordath queried, trying his best not to sound smug.

Stehrr

Location: The Raven --> The Raven, cockpit

Stehrr glanced sideways at Luke as he took the captain’s instructions on board, his large furry hands clamped around the control cluster as he began some evasive maneuvers. Looking at the radar screens he could see the Vindicator was gaining quickly.
“《Will be very tight fly!》” he called to Luke and Sutton. “《Star destroyer still fast enough to catch us. We smaller though, can turn quicker. Will try double back and go behind them, then can make deep space jump.》” the Wookiee growled softly, a betrayal of his nerves as he worked to turn the Raven around. It would be a risky move, to cut so close to the Imperial cruiser, and it might risk them being caught in their tractor beam but as they were they would be caught before long anyway so it was worth a shot unless Luke had a better idea.

Denali Keesda

Location:
The Raven, medbay --> The Raven, hallway/common area

The sound of creaking bolts signifies HK’s appearance before his monotonous voice spoke. Denali quickly stepped between HK and Morgbra, the Echani medic eyeing the blaster the droid was holding in its hands with careful trepidation.
“Hold on, HK, no! I don’t think we’re shooting anybody right now, okay?” he just hoped the droid would listen. Denali didn’t trust the thing as far as he could throw it (which, for the record, wasn’t particularly far) and it certainly wouldn’t be out of character for HK to act on a whim and let his weapon do the talking for him. While he could understand HK being distrusting of Morgbra and Jaina because of their Imperial garbs, the droid also didn’t appear to acknowledge the fact that Morgbra was clearly dressed as a doctor and therefore not a threat. “They’re not dangerous. Luke says we’re keeping them as prisoners...or hostages or...I don’t know, guests.” the doctor fumbled for words, still a bit unsure what Luke thought he was doing by insisting they take Jaina (and by extension, Morgbra) with them.

Jesmand Cartchri

Location: The Bridge

"Keep it up Kordath and I have no problem hanging you out to dry to save my ass at this point considering you just lost not only my best assassin but my lead medical," she said before turning her attention to one of the nameless crew members and whispering into his ear. He looked at her oddly but nodded and ran off, coming back in short time with a clown mask from Jania's quarters.

"If we lost that ship I am personally ejecting people out of the air lock so get it done and get my crew back!" she ordered the crew.

Taking a seat in the captains chair she set it down next to her in sight and accepted the call on the vid. It was a long shot but hey the mans hate of clowns was massive and well known, she wasn't about to start this conversation in any more of a disadvantage than she was already in. "Commadore Cartchri sir," she said in a clam firm voice.

Morgbra & Kayala

Location: Raven Medical Bay

Kayala's hand went to her whip as she stood there. "Not yet but stand by on dismemberment," she said to their little robot friend. She wasn't sure just exactly what was going on right then, she didn't trust either of the two but the fact that Luke knew one and the resident doc knew the other gave her far more questions than answers and she hated unanswered questions. She watched as Jania got up and turned into some member of a drug induced circus act, furrowing her brows just in the slightest.

"No one's shooting anyone. Damn it, I don't want to do any more patch jobs on people today. So how about we all play nice. Jania, we are going to play a game. It's called stay away from the Med Bay. Anyone gets hurt, we have to go in there. So no one is getting hurt," he said as he took some steps towards her.

Kayala watched closely and then shrugged slightly. "I have some games in my room," she said before turning on her heels and heading towards her quarters. Opening the door she motioned for them to go ahead and enter if they chose before stepping inside herself and pulling out various puzzle games; laying them out on the table for the girl to go through. She didn't know the girl but she seemed to want to stay away from the Med Bay as much as she did.

Morgbra smiled and nodded. "Now that sounds like fun," he said before looking over towards Denali. "Don't care how I got here but damn it is good to see you again."

Jaina Sarbye

Location: Raven Medical Bay ---> Kayala's Room

Jaina squealed a bit when the murderous droid appeared. Her eyes were wide, and at the talks of dismemberment, her excitement only increased. It would be just like the time Kordath let her extract information from a rebel! Or perhaps when Jes let her practice her blaster skills with a few traitors! Those were some of her favorite memories, and with this droid, it seemed they could repeat one.

"Oooh, let's~! Have you ever played spin the blaster? You set it on a timed blast, put it in the middle of the circle, and spin~! It ends when everyone except for one has been shot!" Jaina gushed, grinning madly at the murder-bot. "Morgbra says it leaves people dead...But it's so much fun! I've always wanted to give it a go, it's been ages!" She spun around in giddy happiness, her eyes sparkling with horrors and terrors. She hardly seemed to hear Morgbra, as he insisted that anyone who was hurt would have to be sent to the wretched medical bay.

But, Jaina supposed, they could just be left there to bleed. It wasn't like tending to injuries was particularly important--what was death anyways? She had such trouble understanding it, medical bays seemed to be just cruel and unneeded. Still, the prospect of a game in the strange blonde woman's room was enticing... A puzzle?

"Jacen and I did puzzles all the time," Jaina said, her voice soft, in a somehow dreamy monotone. Anyone familiar with the names of major imperial players would recognize the name Jacen Sarbye--he was one of the Emperor's Hands, just a step removed from a Sith apprentice. Unlike her brother, Jaina was not force sensitive in the slightest.

He had attempted to force her to become force sensitive--that was how she ended up the damaged person she was today. He invaded her mind, and attempted to rearrange it. She feared him more than anything else in the universe. "Morgbra, is Jacen here?"

Sutton Corandel

Location: the Raven (the Bridge)

Sutton bit her lip slightly. They were cutting it incredibly close. It was possible they'd end up having to fight. But the Senator...Perhaps there was still a chance. An escape pod could be activated, assuming that the Empire wouldn't just shoot it down. But it would be up to Corrina. Her diplomatic mission was the Raven's mission. If they were captured, it wouldn't matter as much if the Senator was.

But perhaps... "Sir, I've got an idea," Sutton prefaced, assisting Luke and Stehrr however needed as they attempted to evade Imperial control. "Hide the Senator in a smuggling compartment. Have the Face dress up as her--pull a fast one on any boarding party. The Republic can live to fight another day without us--but the Senator's mission is more important. She can complete it if she gets away."

Of course, there was another notion Sutton had. The Face could be hidden away, and given Corrina's clothing. She could then escape, and complete the Senator's mission. The Face could more than handle herself, able to get by better than the Senator ever could. And it wasn't like the Hutts would recognize Corrina if they saw her. The Face's trick wouldn't be detected immediately. "Luke, we need one of them hidden away--even if the Face completes the mission instead of Corrina. It's time for a back up plan."

Hopefully, they wouldn't need it.

Zenie Skyron

Location: The Bridge; Vindicator

Sure, it had been a little insulting when Kordath hadn't requested him to go with them to fight. It wasn't like Zenie could trick the rebels or anything! Still, the man was notoriously anti-alien, and in the form Zenie always used to talk with the Commodore, there wasn't much else he could do. Perfect impersonations were impossible as well. It wasn't like Zenie could have pretended to be Morgbra or anything, to ensure he got to go on the away mission.

"You seem smug, becea echuta," Zenie commented, smirking at Kordath as he leaned over his shoulder. "It wasn't like you messed up the mission or anything, hmm? You certainly weren't shot by your pet freak either?" Zenie commented, before his features lit up in mock surprise. "Wait, that was you! Kava janse woy uba canta cheespa pinteba dauah che? Dopa yay cuee ree bu cuee? uba doth banieie du bu bapm, winbekhia."

Zenie took a step back, as to not interfere with the Commodore's call, but still to be in range to mess with Kordath. He winked at Kordath, sticking out his tongue slightly. As he did so, the tongue changed to be forked, just like a serpent's, for the briefest of moments. And while Zenie hid it well, even that small change brought the phantom of a headache to them. Of all the shapeshifting species, the clawdites were the only one who experienced pain during changes.

That was his lot in life.

@The Elvenqueen@Morose: The ship shook as Stehrr made his maneuver, and Luke couldn't help it as he held a tight grip on the seat, he knew full well what the Wookiee was doing, it wasn't going to be an easy thing to do, but if they could just get past the star destroyer, they would be home free. For the time being, it was going well, picking up the speed got them closer and closer, and the Vindicator didn't seem to expect the maneuver, unable to lock onto the ship as it made its way toward the Star Destroyer, a short while longer, and they'd be home free, they just had to hope their luck held.

As Luke heard Sutton's plan, he turned toward her with widened eyes, as if it was the best thing he'd heard all day. "Sutton, I swear I could kiss you. Go tell Kayala to dress up, we'll send Corrina down to Tatooine and hope everything's fine, she should be able to rendezvous with our people on the ground."

@Lady Amalthea@The Elvenqueen@Morose: As the ship shuddered, HK barely moved an inch, his weight keeping him firmly on the ground as Stehrr shifted the ship about. Turning toward Jaina, HK finally seemed to have found someone on the ship he appreciated, even if they were technically an Imperial. "Assessment: That game would be a pointless extension of execution, I like it." Of course, any kind of mass slaughter was something the droid appreciated, the more pointless, drawn out or elaborate, the better.

@Lady Amalthea@Morose: "They will be back aboard soon, Commodore, I assure you." Kordath said simply with a slight bow, clenching his fist somewhat as he heard Zenie speaking, he made no effort to hide his contempt for the alien, and he wasn't about to start, for the time being ignoring his distaste as the holographic image of the Grand Moff appeared before Jesmand, casting a side-long glare toward the clown mask before he turned to Jesmand, appearing immensely unamused. "Commodore Cartchri, it's come to my attention that you're having some trouble with a band of terrorists." He paused for only a moment before speaking again, evidently he didn't care much for whatever explanation the commodore had. "I am dispatching someone to 'assist' you with this, and your future endeavors on Tatooine, he has a personal stake in this all, so i'd be careful dealing with him."

Stehrr

Location: The Raven --> The Raven, cockpit

Even Stehrr held his breath as the Raven swung around and the Imperial Star Destroyer loomed ever closer. He had no way of telling if this would work, but so far the risk seemed to be paying off. The tractor beam deployed but didn’t seem to be able to lock onto the Raven properly which left the Wookiee bellowing out triumphantly as he executed a few more quick evasive movements just to make sure. They were nearly through and hopefully out of range of that tractor beam now that they were practically kissing the side of the Star Destroyer. It would be really close, but he was sure they would make it...unless the commanding officer aboard the other ship had another nasty trick up their sleeve. He glanced back at Luke and Sutton who seemed to be discussing something to do with the mission, though he wasn’t paying too much attention as he was more focused on trying to keep the ride as smooth as possible for the rest of their passengers.

Denali Keesda

Location:
The Raven, medbay --> The Raven, hallway/common area

The Echani man smiled across at Morgbra, returning the sentiment with another nod. “Yeah? Me too, I’m glad you’re okay, even if you have been working with the Empire.” Not that Denali could fault Morgbra for his choice, he could understand why things had worked out the way they had. If he had been in the same position, he was sure he would have done the same thing. He patted the other man’s shoulder briefly before his attention was brought abruptly back to Jaina as she suggested they all play a rather disturbing-sounding game involving blaster fire and winning conditions of ‘last man standing wins’. “Hey now...Jaina, is it? I really don’t think that’s a very good idea-” he had begun to protest to the young woman’s suggestion though thankfully at that moment Kayala piped up with one of her own which Jaina seemed to respond positively to, Denali letting out an audible breath of relief.

The medic stumbled briefly as the Raven rocked from side to side with Stehrr’s evasive maneuvers, though thankfully the pilot’s skills were top notch enough that the shift didn’t last and he was soon able to catch himself again. Though he did glance back towards the cockpit, frown creasing his brow as he wondered whether or not they would get out of this unscathed.
“Stehrr, I hope you know what you’re doing, buddy!” he called out, though it was unlikely the Wookiee could even hear him at this point. “This is gonna be a close one...let’s just hope they don’t send any TIE fighters after us, eh?”

Jesmand Cartchri

Location: The Bridge

Jesmand looked over towards Zenie and smirked a bit, she wasn't touching that one with a thirty nine and a half foot pole. Looking over at Kordath her face went blank. "They better be," she stated flatly before clearing her throat and awaiting the conversation she was not looking forward to to start and then it did. How did he know already? IT had been less than 30 minutes since everything hit the fan. There had to be a leak on the ship and that mean she was about to start shooting people out of her air lock one at a time until someone came forward or they were all dead. Which ever came first.

Sitting there she said nothing but a simple. "Yes sir," as she was informed that someone else was coming on her ship. She knew better than to argue at this moment in time. She would find her moment to express her displeasure with someone sending someone to her ship without even a second thought and to be ratted out on by one of her own crew members. This meant at this time she trusted NO-ONE. Shit was about to get bad for her crew in the worst possible way. Oddly at the bottom of her list was Kordath right then. He may have been there when shit went down but he was the least like to rat out his own failure.

Morgbra & Kayala

Location: Raven Medical Bay

Kayala looked at Jania as she stepped into the room and held her composure. Of course the game left people dead, that was the point. It wasn't exactly something she wanted to do right then with the woman. As she turned her attention to Morgbra the man looked over to her and shook his head slowly. "I am sorry little one, I do not believe he is," he said softly to her. Jania rose her brow slightly before picking up a simple puzzle, looking like a rubix cube but a tad more complex with additional sides.

"Would you like to try this one?" she asked her. Looking over at HK she smirked a bit, of course he would want to kill something, anything.

Morgbra looked over at Denali and chuckled a bit. "Yes, Jania, perhaps a game without killing, at least until we get to know these people better. We must make a good first impression my dear."

Jaina Sarbye

Location: Kayala's Room

Jaina giggled slightly at the robot. Finally, it seemed someone who understood her games and enjoyed them! Spin the Blaster had always been so enticing, but what about Escape the Casket? The players were given limited supplies of oxygen and placed in caskets in the black. They had to escape from the casket before the oxygen supply ran out, and then make it back to the ship. She let out a contented sigh, glancing at her new best friend.

Jaina glanced over at the rubix cube like object, her mind still dancing with memories of her brother. They were painful ones, but the eerie and ever present smile remained on her face. Jacen was her private misery. Looking over the cube once more, Jaina let out a giggle. The additional sides...She imagined that if thrown at someone, so that it hit them in the eye precisely, there would be a happy release of blood.

She hardly seemed to notice as Sutton banged on the door, still just staring at the rubix cube. "Do you have any games with blood?" Jaina finally asked, since Morgbra specified they had to make a good first impression.

Sutton Corandel

Location: the Raven (the Bridge) ---> Kayala's Room ---> The Hallway

Sutton nearly fell over as she got out of her seat, managing to catch herself just in time. She nodded at Luke as an acknowledgement to his orders, before dashing out from the bridge and heading to the Face's quarters. There was a chance that the Senator would still die, but this was their best plan. It was the only way, as far as she and Luke could tell, that the Republic would have a chance to survive and close the crucial deal with the Hutts.

Winding around a corner, Sutton brushed a fallen lock of hair out of her face, before knocking twice on Kayala's door. She didn't wait for an answer. Entering her quarters, Sutton glanced around, spotting about half of the people aboard the Raven. It wasn't the time to ask questions, but the look of confusion on her face was obvious. "Kayala, can I talk to you?" she paused for a moment, glancing at the imperial hostages. "In private?"

Sutton walked out of Kayala's quarters, heading down the hallway far enough that they couldn't be overheard. Once there, Sutton would give a final glance around, before explaining the plan. Kayala would pose as the Senator, allowing Corrina to be hidden from a boarding party, and able to make an escape to fulfill her mission. "Can you do it?" Sutton inquired, once she finished.

Zenie Skyron

Location: The Bridge; Vindicator

Ordinarily, Zenie would have been disappointed in the lack of attention paid to him by Kordath. He went out of his way to trouble the man, but with the smirk from the Commodore and Kordath's clenched fist, Zenie couldn't help but look entirely smug. He'd gotten under the human male's skin--a success in his book. And as he listened to the Commodore's conversation with the Grand Moff, Zenie had to hide his laughter.

"Koo ahban see yanee? Killing your sorry ass, I expect, Kordath," Zenie commented. Zenie saluted at the Commodore, figuring that there would be some task for him soon. It didn't take much of a leap to understand what went on. Someone had to have informed the Grand Moff as to what happened, and it certainly wasn't any of the hostages on the ground.

"Ma'am, would you like Marcel and I to begin having some...conversations...with members of the crew?" Zenie inquired, his hands folded behind him perfectly. His perfect day included getting to have one of those conversations with Kordath, and while that didn't seem to be in the cards just yet, Zenie felt it coming closer. He'd settle for the next best thing--hopefully getting to work with Kordath. The more uncomfortable he made the man, the better.
