An bladed ring used by Shinoh as weapon and to perform her dances. It was given to her after her first dance, the Oekh Sah Ring was the same ring that was passed down from generation to generation on her family. As a weapon it requires a intricate and complex movements to use it effectively. Being an extremely unpredictable weapon, its martial arts are both dazzlingly fast, with beautiful circular motions and deadly.
Deep black hair, big brown eyes and a small and delicate face. Her slender body and small frame (around 1.59m) hides flexible and powerful muscles, thanks to her training as an acrobat and dancer.
Very few have actually seen her in that form. The once sweet and delicate girl turns into a fearful beast, with an imposing presence and a powerful roar. Those who face her divine self know that you only have two choices: fulfill her demands or face her wrath.
Happy expression, delicate features, a sweet face and playful eyes contribute to the illusion of being just a harmless and foolish girl. Extremely intelligent and smart, she is quick on her feet and mind, always observing everything. When not performing, she is actually somewhat shy. Young (on dragon standards), she doesn't know how to react to romantic advances, and often run away of them, or simply declines in a awkward and uncomfortable way. Sweet, delicate and beautiful to look at, but impossible to obtain.
Dragons may be different from humans in many aspects, but they too need leisure time, to distract themselves and have some fun. Shinoh's family is one of the few who do this job, you can call them "travelling bards" of some sort. There were very few dragons who had both the wish and skill to be a performer. The ones who did were often very different from normal dragons regarding to their personalities.
Since she was a hatchling, Shinoh grew amongst actors, dancers and acrobats. As such, is it only natural for her to be attracted to those things. Shinoh began to truly enjoy dancing and performing, so much as to make it her pastime. As the time passed, she grew, and so did her skill. When she got old enough to perform with the rest of the crew, she made her first dance, using a wooden ring to perform the unique dance her mother was famous for. The first time she stepped on the stage, she was frightened and ashamed, but it all changed once she began to dance. With a sweet smile, she forgets about everything when dancing, about all the problems, about all the bad things, enjoying the moment to its fullest. As soon as she began dancing, the mood changed. Her bright smile emanated a pure and true happiness. The public immediately loved her, being affectionately known as "Momo". Every time she danced, she brought joy to everyone around her, it fills the hearts of those who se her, and when she jumps down the stage and begins to dance with the crowd, its almost impossible to not to follow her on her joyful dance. But her life wasn't always a sea of roses. Fame doesn't bring only good things. Due to her sweet and bright personality, many people often forgot about their problems and responsibilities, often letting their tongues run loose. As such, Shinoh began to hear things, information who very few were supposed to know. And information is a dangerous thing, not only to the one who seeks it, but to the one who possess it as well. Shinoh had to learn quickly how to put the act of "innocent and foolish girl" in order to protect her companions and her style of life. She had to learn on how to be quick on her mind and sharp with her words when needed, it was a matter of survival. After all, dragons aren't exactly known to be very calm and understanding.
Although skilled and with a cunning mind, Shinoh is still young, and dreams of bigger things. Dreams of finding the right mate for her and to travel to human cities and bring her dance to them. With a mind full of dreams, a smile on her face Shinoh lives her life happily, Always dancing away from every problem. But dance couldn't possibly be the answer to every problem in the world, can it?
Romance will be a thing in this RP, so maybe don't have your charries wed off already? :P
And maybe make a couple women, unless it's gonna be guy lovin' round here.
Guys, something came up and i have to poof for like a week. If you get too impatient you can accept charries and start.
Cool, I feel like I get a bit of a reprieve on making my characters.
One of mine was going to be a game warden. His(might change it to female, but I don't know) job is to make sure that there's enough hunting to be had for all, which means enforcing regulations(not always easy when we're talking about dragons) and ensuring that other predators don't encroach on land.
Username: @SuddenSardines Name: Galen Dawnspear Age: 150 (Appears 20 in calm form). Gender: Male Race: Dragon Weapons: -Bow and Arrows -Quarter Staff
Galen is a bit more tan then most dragons. This is largely due to his constant adventuring and southern heritage. He stands around 6 feet tall, and is very lean.
Galen uses his divine form a bit more than most of his kind. He largely uses it for a quick boost of speed while he's traveling, especially between islands. Still, he is a very intimidating figure, and would never let you get the wrong impression about how he's willing to use it.
Personality: Despite being royalty, Galen hardly acts like it. A free spirit, Galen finds his future of leading the Dawnspear tribe a boring and stressful inevitability. Galen has instead resolved to live his younger years doing as he pleases. While used to relative luxury at home, Galen sees no problem with getting his hands dirty and living in the wilderness on one of his "adventures". Still, while not the most studious of dragons, he has picked up a fiery wit capable of getting him both into and out of trouble. Despite his adventurous soul, Galen has never been an expert at romance. His first few "attempts" at flirtation were, put lightly, disastrous. Since then, its been the one flaw that he can admit to.
Short Biography: Galen Dawnspear is the son of Lord Ashtin Dawnspear. Since he was a hatchling, Galen always secretly wanted to be like his father; strong, proud, and dependable. At first, he aspired to learn how to be a leader like his father. However, that changed when his father took him out on a trip across Dawnspear territory. Utterly infatuated with the world outside his immediate home, he begged and pleaded with his father several times to allow him to explore when the war was over. After years of being determined to see his dream through, he cut a deal with his father. While he was home, he was to study as hard as possible the art of leading his people. In exchange, Galen would be allowed to occasionally go on "diplomatic missions" across Dawnspear land, so long as he had an entourage of retainers to defend him if he intended to go far.
Of course, Galen took the phrase "diplomatic missions" even looser than his father meant, and is known for making winding detours across the countryside and islands. He's even gone so far as to pick out a few small islands off the coast that he returns to a few times a year.
Recently, Galen has come to hear about the arrival of these strange "humans". It wasn't long before he received an official summons home to be briefed on the situation. Galen is now returning home, ready to embrace whatever new adventures these humans might bring with them.
Other: Galen is an excellent chef, and often cooks his own meals while out on his adventures.
Age: Appears to be around 22, her real age is unknown only to herself. She struck her own name from any writings and family trees. She's simply been in the Silvergale family and territories for as long as most of the younger generations have lived, caring, protecting, and forging.
Gender: Female
Race: Pure-blooded Silvergale Dragon, at least a generation older than the current lord, but with any claim to the 'throne' forfeited.
Weapons: A single khopesh, as her primary mastery weapon, or a two-handed greatsword, or a iron-core steel-tipped quarterstaff
Assyrah is roughly 5' 3" tall, and appears to be smaller and weaker than many others. She's one of the few that resembles humans more than more of the dramatic/colorful dragons, and one of the few that don't mind the resemblance. Everything she wears is handmade by her own two hands- knitted, tanned, forged with resources she herself scavenged, looted, or collected. She uses her own dragonflame for her forge, and occasionally makes a sword's handguard or a section of armor out of her own scale.
Calm, collected, and independent. While other dragons are free-spirited or burdened with responsibilities, Assyrah has made herself clear- she will contribute to the clan, and she will work hard at all the things she does. However, she does it her way- not in a dictator sort of way, but she does not appreciate anyone telling her what to do, or how to do it. She's nice and she cares, but she also doesn't want anyone to rely on her- because it'd ultimately chain her down. The only exceptions are those obligations- if someone saved her, for example, she would be obliged to pay it back somehow.
Some three hundred years or so earlier, Assyrah was the lastborn child of nearly a dozen children. Her mother died during her birth; thus, her father had the burden of too many kids (whom he and his partner managed well, until she died) and a devastating loss. With so much stress, he took it out on the easiest and most vulnerable victim- Assyrah. From an early age, Assyrah was a target of her father's grief, and while her brothers and sisters were supportive and ultimately her friends, it didn't help the fact that she really didn't have parents.
So, Assyrah became independent. She refused to harbor a grudge against her father, who eventually recovered from his grief and spent a notable amount of effort trying to make it up to her. By then, she was independent enough to simple... accept it and move on. She didn't blame him, but she never had any love for him, either.
Over the years, her family had spread out, until only a brother and sister remained within a day's traveling distance. All throughout, she had gained a new father- an aging forgemaster that was reaching the end of his impressively long life. From him, she learned her trade- and learned to craft everything she knows.
The forgemaster died some years ago, and when he did, Assyrah searched. She went and found every instance of her name mentioned, and removed it. She made herself into a ghost among the books- only those who knew her personally really 'knew' about her. And she's kept it that way, and intends to continue doing so.
Other: - Renowned Craftswomen- many come to her for higher quality blades, bows, and armors of various kinds. If someone has a prototype weapon, they come to her to make it. - Renowned Caretaker- She's raised many of the younger fledgling dragons for years, teaching them morals, honor, blades, and dragonfighting. - Aloof- No one's close to her, and no one really knows her personality. Everyone knows her reputation, though.
As you might have read, the GM will be away for a short week (due to personal reasons). I would gladly accept your characters, but i'm not the co-gm or anything XD
I believe that @OfWindAndRain's character is perfectly fine. @SuddenSardines's one, maybe you'll need to ask the GM about the royalty thing
"Basically it's gonna be the Nocturne main tribe ruling over small groups or tribes of other dragons. Same thing with other tribes."
But if its like... a secondary tribe, like the secondary branch of a family I think its ok
