Born 1983, which makes me a 'Treasure Hunter' and under the element of 'Fire'. Neither of those fit me at all really, whereas my astrological sign (Scorpio) fits me scarily well in a lot of regards (despite the fact that I don't actually follow or outright believe in astrology).
Anyway, half-baked chart is half-baked. I think it would've been more interesting if they'd actually tried to match the personality types of astrological signs with various fictional archetypes instead of simply tacking on archetypes to certain years.

I'll give you that, minus the rogue bit (if we're using the official meaning of the word -- which is dishonest/unprincipled) since I'm all about my principles and simply follow my own code instead of a code set by others. Can't comment on the cavalier bit since it's got a lot of definitions.
That being said, I think my issue more stemmed from the options not really sticking out in my mind as 'this is the thing I'd be if I was in a fantasy/sci-fi/whatever' world. I've also got a very big water affinity (fitting for a Scorpio), so fire was just sort of 'meh'.
It's actually less of a zodiac thing and more on which year you were born on. Like the chinese years? Year of the snake, dragon, tiger, etc.
Yeah, it's pretty much identical to the Chinese zodiac (I'm considered a Pig, just for the record), just with a geek flavour to it. Admittedly, I find the Chinese zodiac to be a lot more flawed as a concept than the more conventional astrology, mostly because the notion that every person born in the same year has a similar personality is pretty ridiculous -- that would imply everyone in a single class at school has a similar personality.
I don't really understand it when people say "I'm not element X!" Or "I have an X affinity!" because most elements can mean a lot of different things. Fire can be unruly and destructive, but it can also be controlled and help people. Water can be flexible and dynamic... unless it's frozen. Earth can be hard and heavy, or it can be soft and sift through your fingers as sand. Air is often associated with the swiftness of wind, but it doesn't have much presence in a thick forest or indoors.
And rogue (I spelled it correctly this time) to most geeks will likely be associated with the RPG class. These characters are often swift, charismatic, and tend to not follow the law as closely as most others. They DO "set their own code" in most cases.
Not that I'm arguing that birth signs mean anything at all. I think the idea is that they are suppose to be convoluted enough that if someone looks at it they can say "Yea! I am kinda like that!" This one is definitely more simplistic than the paragraphs of text most zodiacs have associated with them.
@BrokenPromise When I said I've got a 'water affinity' in this particular situation, I meant it in a very literal sense -- water signs such as Scorpios are actually known for enjoying showers/swimming/et cetera more than most people, and this is a trait I have. I actually go so far as to use showers to meditate and even go to the indoor pool if I need time to contemplate or for exercise. I know everyone has these qualities, but they're very extreme for me.
However, whenever I refer to 'water affinity' I'm usually also referring to the astrological concept of the elements. I should've made this clearer. While you've given a good example of how elements can be perceived differently, there's a very specific concept behind each element according to astrology. This is just a basic piece of information I took from a site as illustration, and it won't be overtly in-depth.
The water element is the one of big feelings and imagination. Water signs are submerged in their surroundings, often sensing the hidden emotional reality.
Fire signs are known to be very extraverted and all about physical action and a focus on the immediate gratification, while those of the water element are more introverted and see the world in a very deep and immaterial way, looking into the hidden meaning behind everything and having very acute 'psychic' qualities. Both of these elements are passionate, but one prioritizes its passions on immediate and physical desires while the other is rooted in spiritual emotions and mental depths. I don't plan to go into all of the details here, especially since I don't even follow astrology, but it should give a good idea of how these two elements are perceived in astrology. You're right that the elements are subjective in meaning, but astrology has a set belief system regarding them.
If you'd like another example, I'll give you a notion that I usually think of when I imagine water. This is something I created myself based off my own understanding. Picture trying to grasp water in your hand -- it'll immediately escape you. In this sense, water cannot be governed by the physical because it moves according to its own flow and can adapt to any environment, and while it is gentle and sustains life it is also powerful enough to easily wipe that life out when angered. This analogy suits Scorpios in particular because they are infamously more unruly, violent, and powerful in comparison to the two other - more gentle - water signs. They're also the more harsh and analytical of the three water signs.
Anyway, minor astrology lesson over... As for the other thing...
That definition of rogue makes sense then, though - like I mentioned earlier - I don't feel like a pirate or treasure hunter is the sort of archetype I'd be if I was in a fictional work, but that's mostly not important here considering this is just meant to be entertaining anyway -- just my usual deconstruction of details, so don't give it too much thought unless you want to.
@Shoryu Magami I toootaallly feel you on the whole water part... I once almost took a nap while I was taking a bath and I just had my eyes closed, floating in incredibly warm bath water... It was fantastic... It would've been longer, but my parents called me down for dinner and it was already late that night.. I was 100% relaxed for the first time in a few years...
