Sala and Vala are a very curios existence. It cannot be said the have separate personalities. On their own each does have her own fragment of attitude, but it alone looks shallow and unnatural. You can only truly know them if you’ve met both of them at once. They are bright energetic girls, who love sweet things, to dance and to sing. They rarely show their deep suffering to outsiders, but despite feeling the deep pain they do, they still are ready to help when needed.
While mostly friendly, they still have a hard time actually trusting people completely. They’d allow those around them to do their own things, but wll always keep an eye on them just In case. They are also patient and waiting to accomplish their goals isn’t a hard thing for them. Without troubles they’d wait for as much time as it’s needed, but they easily lose their cool if they are separated.

- Blood boil: As witches, Sala and Vala are most adept at spells that affect others directly. This curse originating as a slow curse that causes fever into the target, due the twin’s combined power, causes the target’s body fluids to heat up rapidly until boiling point. The spell requires about 10 seconds to cast and afterwards it’s starts rapidly affecting the target. It’s a single target curse.
- Shatter bones: A targeted curse that takes 30 seconds to cast and about the same for it to take effect on the target. The spell works in two stages, the first stage turns the target’s bones into a harder substance before the second stage starts, causing the bones to vibrate until the new substance of the bones cannot take it and starts to shatter.
- Snake sight: A pretty self explanatory spell. For the duration of about an hour, the user gains the ability to see as snakes do or to be precise they gain thermal vision. While useful on occasions, the fact that while the thermal vision is active, the user cannot distinguish colors, and maybe even surroundings depending on the temperature can be a huge drawback.
- Flesh stitching: A healing spell of sorts that can also be used offensively. It takes about 10 seconds to cast and takes the effect of the flesh of the target rapidly morphing. As healing spell it can be used to close up wounds and restore damaged tissues and as offensive spell it can be used to open wounds.
- Decay and erosion: A spell that takes about a minute to perform. After it’s cast, the twins need to touch their target and it will suffer the effects of either decay or erosion depending on if it’s alive or inanimate object. Useful for opening locked doors and gates.
- Essence Drain: Now this is a spell that completely falls under the category of dark magic. Using this spell takes about 5 minutes. When using it, you drain the target’s remaining life force. The now drained life force takes the form of a differently colored liquid similar to wine. It can be used to heal or restore expanded magic power. In enough doses it can even be used to revive people if they’ve died no longer than 10 minutes ago(takes essence drained from 5 healthy people to do that though). To perform this spell, a number of special sigils need to be written with the caster’s blood upon the target’s body. Lastly, the caster must injure himself in some manner, for the spell to take place.

- Charcoal dust: A small pouch filled with charcoal dust. Mostly used to aid in lighting fires.
Magical Items: Potions: Premade or prepurchased potions
- Heatlight potion x2: A very important potion for the underworld. It’s made with a lot of ingredients and is reusable. Once finished and put into a potion bottle, it will retain it’s effect for months on end. The effect is that it gives off bright light when it’s touched and the light persists for a while before it has to be touched again. It reacts to the heat of the body.
- Minor healing potion x4: Good for closing small cuts.
- Medium healing potion x2: Great for closing deep cuts or stabs and other similar wounds.
- Greater healing potion: Enough to close a near mortal wound. It can regenerate even damaged heart.
- Remedy x6: A simple potion in idea. It’s effect is to purge all foreign invaders and effects from the body. Such as poisons, paralysis, infections and so forth. A single sip is enough, each potion has for about 4 uses.
Creation Materials: Anything used to brew potions or for alchemy
- Silvergreen cap: A rare mushroom with incredibly potent healing properties. A single one can be refined into greater healing potion.
- Whitetendril moss x4: A white web like moss that’s sometimes found near the edge of mushroom fields. It lacks any effects on it’s own, but it’s useful as fusing ingredient, allow for better yield during potion brewing.
- Bali leaves: Leaves from a plant that’s grown in flowerpots. It has good anti bacterial properties and is great for bandages and tea!
- Whitesilk cap x3: Mushroom with decent healing properties, can be refined into Medium potion
Childhood: Sala and Vala were born from an elf mother and a human father. Their mother was a traveling elf that for some reason had arrived in Belizalius. She was already pregnant with them when that happened and for a bad luck, she went into birth while at the human settlement. The birth happened at an inn within the city in the presence of a priest from the Church of Light and the innkeeper. Sadly their mother died right after giving birth to them. For even more bad luck, their strange magical nature became apparent right away when Vala was borth first and she didn’t cry or even breath. At first they considered her dead, but when Sala was born moments later, then the two children started breathing and crying at the same time.
After that, the children were taken into the church for ‘observation’ and safekeeping. No one ever came to search for them and the church had taken to use them as they saw fit. They had put metal chokers on the children and treated them as animals. Under lock in cages when they didn’t need them for anything. The twins never really complained much as long as they were together. Almost as if having each other was enough for them. When separated it was discovered that they couldn’t even do simple chores properly without messing up. Eventually they were given to a noble in Belizarius. There they were taught to cook and to please a crowd as they were used for entertainment during official diners. It was during one such occasion when another noble managed to free them during the party and smuggle them away from Belizarius. The noble was connected to Astaras, but for better or worse the sisters ended in Valka. The two confused, hurt and barely conscious children were taken in by a witch who ran an inn. Following that, they lived with the woman and learned from her. Additionally it was during this period that Sala and Vala also learned to sing along with their dancing. Mostly learned from the visiting bards at the inn, but soon enough they’d accompany the bards during performances.
Adulthood: When the twins were around the age of 27, they had decided to go to Astaras. There they were tested by the academy and given a certificate allow them to work in noble courts and to work as potion makers. Their bizarre nature didn’t go unnoticed, but as long as they did their job and didn’t cause anyone any problems, they were left alone. Sala and Vala opened a small potion shop within Bori under the protection of a noble.
Special Moments: Sala and Vala have a lot of bad memories that haunt their dreams and waking moments near every day. The years they were ‘raised’ by the church, the nightmares, the tortures and the abuse they took. Their necks still carry the scars from those times and it’s a constant reminder for the past.
Current Events: While the potion shop was going on fine, things turned for the worse when a passing Church of Light official recognized the two witches. While they were under the protection of a noble, the two were also clearly not normal. It wasn’t really that hard for him t first try to extort them. He tried many things and even tried to force himself on Sala. Naturally the twins didn’t stay still about it. While he was trying to rape one of them, they cast a curse on him. Causing him to be boiled from the inside out. Because of that they were forced to run away right away, as even before they managed to excape Bori, the news had already spread and the bells were ringing for the town guard to gather. Somehow they managed to rewach Shezze in time without incidents.

Anything Else: Sala and Vala are as one. Think and act as one to an unnatural degree. They finish each other’s sentences all the time. Scholars have stated that they must have been born with one soul for the two of them which is quite possible as unless they are in close vicinity to each other, they cannot focus or act normally. They appear weaker and even their intelligence seems to be lower. Without each other they appear to wane as a flower left without water.
