Deep inside the Catacombs, time - Unknown
"The current species are so interesting... For, in all actuality, they cannot help their urges, as it has always been. Natural selection is so powerful, but also cruel..."
She continued to observe, as they pressed ever closer to discovering the nature of Tryliin, and Her abode. This had happened before. Only once, but the evidence was there. Something stirred within her, ancient memories of a time long past and forgotten, but amazingly still relevant. For it was playing out exactly the same as it had before, and She felt that it would end just as it had previously. But, there was a sensation... Something barely tangible, but still a cause of concern. Something was different, and for the first time, she couldn't anticipate the outcome.
"They fight, for it is all they know. War, and treachery, and murdering their brethren. Nothing has changed regarding that. But one is different. One, is imbued with The Presence, and that will indeed anger the Defender. And even He may fall this time. Then what will happen? Will I finally see a world greater than what I could imagine? Only time will tell..." She floated above the pit, Her home, and continued to watch, as those who came before worked towards their goal... In time, all would be revealed. And, for the first time in a long while, She felt hope.
"Well, Korrin, they were probably the guys from yesterday, wanting to get revenge. Hope they don't regret that decision now..."
Lighting up another cigarette, Kintya pulled a heavy drag, and noticed the bodies strewn like dolls on the floor. it was evident that they were vastly inexperienced and out gunned, and she wondered how the other thugs would fare against Temujin. Not too well, she imagined. They had collected the guns, and Kintya claimed the sniper rifle for herself, as she was probably the best shot. Then she glanced at Korrin, and his weapon, and thought otherwise. They could sort it out with a little race to get the highest body count later. Dumping the weapons on the ground, Kintya placed her hands on her hips, smiling.
"Alright, everything else is fair game, Temujin probably would prefer to use his fists anyway. And we should be up any minute now..." She heard the firing begin, as the other group of bounty hunters started their assault. "Alright, let's move, we came this far already, no turning back now!"
