Status update:

• My next post is in the work now. I'll be starting with tsukune's part to follow up on what's happening with Leonard, so I'd honestly like to know if Aewin and Snaggle want an extra post or so to interact before I start involving you in something. It might seem a bit unnatural if something happens before you two even have a moment to exchange greetings. If you'd like another post, then don't feel obligated to wait for my post.

• I've been doing some thinking, and the method through which the flow of time is revealed might need to change a bit. This is mostly because some of our posts are likely going to take different amounts of time than others. I'm not inherently worried about this when we're all together (I'm pretty confident I can gauge how much time passes based on certain actions/words/events/et cetera, such as me thinking probably about twenty minutes passed throughout Leonard's first post), but once we're separated into groups there's the potential issue of time being inconsistent between said groups depending in their actions.
  
  This will be noticeably more problematic once we're at the estate. With this in mind, I might just list the time changing at specific points instead of listing it in every post. Any thoughts from anyone regarding how we can make this more manageable? Time isn't too important until we get to the estate, but we still need to factor in that everything happening prior to us getting our full group is technically happening in one day.

Unless we add in what was talked about in a flashback sequence? I dunno, depends on what Snaggle thinks.

I, personally, would like another exchange at least between Conrad and Lucia, but roleplaying is about adapting. In either case I don't plan to post again before tomorrow (Work, etc.).

EDIT: I don't think he meant shuffling us off to the mansion, I have an idea for what he has planned. I do want a bit of interaction first though. Whether it be via collab (to make conversation easy) or at least one more post each.

I'm not talking about time skipping immediately, as in right now or something. The comment regarding the flow of time has nothing to do with the interactions between you two currently, so don't worry about that. Honestly, it'll still be a good while before we skip to the estate, since we don't have enough people yet and in a worst case scenario (a.k.a. not enough people joining) I'm actually planning to open the door for people to have multiple characters (not obligatory, of course).

You've answered my main question though -- you and @Snagglepuss89 are free to interact a bit more before I do anything. Just for the record, when I actually start 'GM posting' with you two, it won't have anything to do with moving to the estate. I'm basically planning on introducing one of our NPCs. I told Snaggle about this over PM, but nothing beyond that.

First Edit: I've got no problem with you two collaborating a bit if you'd prefer not to post several times. I'll leave it up to you two, but anytime someone does collaborations I want it to be made clear in their header.

Second Edit: Also, since you mentioned flashbacks -- just be aware that I'm more than happy if you guys use them, since I plan to make liberal use of them down the line. Obviously, avoid spoiling anything about your characters through them that you want to keep hidden.

Nicely posted on your end too -- another good example of a character being introduced well without spoiling anything. Everyone's doing a good job, and it's creating a really decent introduction for the story in my eyes.

Um I was going to use the escort method. I'll probably ask for help because Introduction posts are the worst thing for me. I've just been so busy lately it's insane.

Loving everyone's IC posts so far, now if I can just figure out what the heck I'm doing in mine. Having more than a few moments to think without coughing my brains out would be helpful (but I don't see that happening any time soon). Oh and @Shoryu Magami knows already that I'm having Charlotte take the escort vehicle to the estate.

Since Shoryu passed out a few hours ago, I'll be heading off now too. Thank god for three day weekends, hopefully I can sleep off this crud before work on Tuesday. Night night everyone!

Judging from the OOC so far, seems to me most of us are going with the escort idea. I think that's for the best, because that way all the characters will be able to reach Bonaparte's mansion around the same time to kickstart the murder game, rather than waiting for all the lost sheep to show up one by one on their own. :P

And, to inform you that my IC response is up. Short, I know, but I don't want to drag it out into a full purple prose.
I also noticed the BGM link in your second Leo post is still the Cowboy Bebop OST, even if you changed the song title to the one I was using for my first IC post, lol.

On a side note, I changed my character's color because it's too similar to Olivia's (I know it's not the same, but still).

I've woken up with a pretty nasty migraine (even by my standards), and my PC is in a particularly asshole mood today, so I guess just be aware of that. Under these circumstances, it's entirely possible I'll need to disappear for a few days soon just so I can severely speed up the PC organizing process and make things cooperate a bit more. I'll do my best to keep everyone up to date.

As stated in the PM I sent you in follow up to the one I promised, I'll be able to assist. I know this is your first 'Advanced' tag role-play and for some people that can be intimidating, but I really think this tag/forum is more about dedication than it is writing level (since those with dedication tend to improve anyway), so don't let it pressure you too much -- I don't have a problem helping out with the transition.

I'm unfamiliar with the term 'purple prose', despite two of you mentioning it now. That being said, shorter posts are more or less to be expected during dialogue, unless the role-player tends to delve very heavily into the mentality and internal thought processes of their character (like I do, but will obviously need to do less often than usual to avoid spoiling things too early).

Good reply though. I'll work out my own response when I can. When we're in the estate or in a bigger group there'll need to be a bit more structure to our posting order, but for now it's sort of meaningless so long as anyone that's part of a group waits for each member of their party before posting again. Like I mentioned on Skype, I fixed up that issue with the music. Your post also made me realize I neglected to mention what's in Leonard's sandwich -- normally I don't miss details like this, so it goes to show how fatigued and unfocused my PC's making me lately.

As for the escort, I'm fine with people taking it or not, since it's not like the game begins the instant someone steps onto that soil. They do all need to reach the estate before April 14 ends though.

@Shoryu MagamiSo, this NPC. Did you want them to specifically interact inside the tea house, or outside of it, or doesn't it matter? Just so I have a good idea of where/how to end the collab if that's what we end up doing.

It won't really matter. The way I plan to have them show up can adapt to whatever you're currently doing, though this character is planning to go inside the café temporarily if that helps. I suppose go under the assumption they're coming into the café, as opposed to coming out of it.

Probably, yeah. At the very least, it means I'll be able to use the exact scene I had in mind instead of a modified one.

Given how you and @Aewin are both online, I'll wait to see if you settle on doing the collaboration before committing to responding to tsukune's post right now. I should probably merge Leonard's post with the NPC post if you're planning on posting sometime soon.

Until I know what everyone's doing, I'll keep trying to solve my formatting issues and Leonard's portrait picture. I'm also making preparations for the inevitable appearance of this NPC.

@Shoryu MagamiBest timeframe I can give you on the post between sleep and work is going to be tomorrow at the earliest (Not likely, but possible if the planets align) and more likely the day after tomorrow. If it takes longer than that I would be surprised. Aewin hasn't responded to me yet how exactly we're going to hammer out the collab, but I'm pretty sure it is going to be a collab post.

Cheers for letting me know. I might respond to @tsukune then, given how we've got a bit of a back and forth going right now and since our one isn't a collaboration I imagine we need more posts in order to make up a similar amount of content to what you guys end up putting together. I'm imagining that I'll likely sync up the time of day with all groups in the 'GM post' I do. I'm just working out one other detail before settling on a decision.

Try not to flood me with @Mention unless it's RP-related and damn important that you need my immediate attention every time I pop by this site. I am feeling kind of overwhelmed by the sheer number of notifications I got lately, yeah.

In short, leave me out of the shitposting fest, even if I drop random jokes from time to time. I mean, if I see the comebacks, yay; if I don't because I need to be away (either bedtime for me or I've other things to do than being here 24/7), then I'll just let them pass and I don't need to be notified for something trivial as some little jokes.
