Syleste Astrea (Vos) Nioré

Location: Sky Lakes Medical Center.
Interacting With: Aron Brooks and Gage Brooks (@BlackPanther), Cassandra Spencer, Cody Treadwell and Quinton Matson (@Caits), Miranda Burke and Cleo D’Nile (@Damo021), Kaylee Evans and Zoé Flores (@Vicier), and anyone else at the hospital.

“..Gage..? W-Where-… Where’s Gage…”

The blaring of sirens was almost deafening, added to only by the distant howling of wolves, though it was all little more than background noise as she did what she could to sit up on the stretcher she was on, the feeling of strong hands pushing against her shoulders, however, making it difficult to do- this wasn’t how things were meant to go; none of this-… it just wasn’t meant to be this way… This long weekend was supposed to be fun…

It was a camping trip- nothing more than they did every year for New Years; but it had taken a horrible turn…

Shutting her cloudy-blue eyes tightly, Syleste shook her head quickly back and forth, a sharp and burning pain shooting through both her shoulder and collar bone causing her to cry out loud, and for the medics in the (now stopped and open-backed) ambulance to pull their hands back before diving in once more, doing what they could to help her ease from the injuries she had sustained during the sudden and especially violent attack that had happened on their camping trip, leaving more than one of the teenagers who had gone in the back of an ambulance needing medical attention.

What had they done to deserve this..? One moment-… One moment, they had been gathered around the roaring warmth of the fire, toasting marshmallows, and talking away happily about what the new year was going to bring them… about their hopes; their dreams… and the next minute, the air was filled with blood curtailing screams and yells. The sound of both growls and howls adding to the night; and then came the pain… the feeling of claws ripping against her skin, and something she could only assume was fangs sinking deeply into her shoulder and collar bone.

The pain was searing… burning through her flesh; but it wasn’t like she cared right now.

All she wanted- all she could think about was Gage; her boyfriend… the one person that she wanted to spend more time with than anyone else, and not just any time though; real time… alone time; together… for what felt like the first time since the two of them were able to finally pluck up enough courage to confess their love for one another.

No… she had to find him… she had to be with him…

“Gage; I-… I need to be with Gage…” Pushing once more against the hands that were trying their best to help her out, Syleste once more did all that she could to sit up over the stretcher, her hands curling over the side and her beautiful sweat and blood-stained features wincing in pain as the medics trying to help pulled her from the back of the ambulance, causing the sound of the wheels rolling over the asphalt to add to the noise around them.

“..we have a sixteen year old, female, disabled; wounds to her shoulder, collar bone, and her side-…”

“I-I wanna see Gage… please… please; where is he..?” Struggling once more, though unable to fight much more as yet another pair of hands helped to hold her down over the stretcher, she turned her head from side to side, seemingly searching for something… someone; though whoever it was, it was clear she couldn’t see them… no matter how much she may have wanted to, “..please… please, take me to him…”

“Your friends have all here already; you can see them once we’ve taken care of you, but only after we’ve taken care of you, okay..? Now please… can you tell us your name..?”

Closing her cloudy-blue and ever unseeing eyes, she shook her head, her body falling back over the stretcher as she tried her best not to give into the light and familiar sting she could feel flickering across the surface of her iris’, the tears threatening to bubble over soon running down her cheeks as they continued to roll her towards the emergency ward doors.

“I-… My name is S-Syleste… Syleste Vos…”

Cassandra

Cassandra Spencer, slightly shy, bright, friendly and yes, even a little bit devious, lay on the stretcher she had been put on, eyes staring up at the ceiling of the ambulance, as she was wheeled out. At the treat of being given a sedative, she had stopped yelling about her friends, yet as she was pushed out, she looked about frantically for them. Even as she was taking to a treatment room, Cassandra searched for her friends, especially for any sign of the pink haired Syleste. She had promised Syleste's mother that she'd watch the blind girl, that she'd make sure she was safe. And right now, Cassandra would rather face the wolf that had attacked them then Syleste's mother.

Oh god. Wolf. It had been a wolf, hadn't it? She remembered...closing her eyes tight, Cassandra stifled a small cry. The flash of the wolf leaping to her, as she struggled to get to her friends, to any of them, flashed through her again, as it pushed her down, its jaw clamping over her shoulder, even as its claws slashed her chest, and even then, Cassandra had tried to make sure that Syleste was okay, getting in the wolf's way again, it clamping down on her wrist, tearing her skin. She must have blacked out, because the wolf was gone when she next opened her eyes.

She didn't know if her friends were alive, and they wouldn't tell her. Shaking, Cassandra opened her eyes, and usin her uninjuried hand, she pushed herself up, gathering her strength, to look at her woulds. Her shoulder was a mess of blood, and torn skin, the bite mark a horror, but it was her hand. Mangled, deformed, bleeding badly, Cassandra grimaced as someone came in, pushing her back down, wrapping her hand up tightly, she heard them say she was probably going to need surgery to repair the damage. She closed her eyes, her breathing ragged, knowing full well that as soon as she was alone again, she'd go and try to find her friends. Any of them. Syleste....she needed to make sure they were okay. She just had to.

It seemed that she had to wait forever to be alone, but finally she was left alone. She waited a full ten heart beats to get up, pushing herself up with her uninjured hand, grimacing at the pain, but refusing to cry out. She couldn't cry out, if she did...someone would come in. Stiffling a sob, she rose, and moved towards the door, slipping out, she had no delusions that someone wouldn't see her, and that when they did, she'd be taken back. She had to be quick. She could be quick, couldn't she? She had to at least make sure Syleste was okay. And Mirinda. And Aron, Gage. Cody. While she was at it, Kaylee. She'd invited the new girl along, it was her fault that both her and Syleste were hurt.

"Syleste..." She breathed out her friends name, as she tried to figure out where she would be. She tried to look like she wasn't about ot pass out, that she was just a normal patient, going for a walk. She was sure she failed. Yet, she wasn't going back to that room until she had seen that Syleste was okay.

In the back of her mind, she made note to avoid her father as well-that was not a discussion she was looking forward too.

Cody

Cody was battered, head to toe, scratches covering his body, cuts, claw marks. He had fought, to try and subdue the wolf-he didn't know what he had been thinking, but all he knew was that he had to protect Aron. It hadn't been a question. It hadn't even been a debate in his head. He just simply had to protect Aron. Yet he had failed, the wolf snarling, biting, and slashing him. He was full of pain. Blood seemed to well out of any number of injuries. And all he could think of was Aron. His boyfriend...he couldn't lose him. Not now. He shuddered as someone did something, causing a sensation of pain to wash over him, igniting all the injuries. Aron....oh, Aron, I'm sorry....

the jostling of the ambulance as it came to a stop threw him out of his thoughts, sendin jolts of pain through him, despite what he figured was pain killers being pumped into him. Wheeled out, Cody was a little hysterically as he shouted for Aron, feeling his heart beat faster, causing the blood from the wounds to pump out again, but he didn't care. He had to make sure Aron was okay. Someone pushed him down, lay a hand on some uninjured skin on his shoulder. "Shhh, no one has died. Calm down, and I'll see what I can find out. You're not doing yourself, or anyone else any favors getting hysterical". Cody whimpered, but he nodded, and closed his mouth. aron..... Oh, god, his parents. Did they know? Cody shook, and almost from far away he heard someone say "He's going into shock" and a blanket was placed around him, careful of the wounds.

He closed his eyes, holding back a sob. Aron...Cody went to swing of the stretcher, and damn it all, but a horrible, gut twisting, pain flew up his leg, causing him to yelp, but there was no blood there-or at least no wet sensation. Broken? His mind flew back to the camp site, and he recalled falling over a rock as the wolf first attacked him. what had he been thinking, throwing a stick at a wild animal like that? But all he'd been thinking was to get the wolf away from Aron. Sick to his stomach, Cody knew he wouldn't be able to find Aron, not if he couldn't even walk. He'd have to wait for someone to take him to Aron, or for Aron to come to him...they said no one was dead. That has to mean Aron is okay? Doesn't it? That no one is going to die? Cody clutched to those thoughts, even as he tried to get a glimpse of Aron, anywhere.

Connor

Connor wasn't sure what was going on, but he was well aware of the form he was in. Sleek, powerful, fast, and graceful, Connor ran after the ambulances, faster then he ever could go. His mind, logical, scientific as it was, said this wasn't possible, but every fibre of his body disagreed. The smell of blood heavy around him-he was sure he wasn't hurt-he practically flew across the grounds as he ran, his gaze on one ambulance in particular. The one with her on it, the girl he'd seen in the supermarket, the girl he just hadn't been able to stop thinking about. The girl he had to make sure was alright, because she might be able to give him answers. It was that, perhaps, that kept Connor...sane. Part of him knew that what had happened to him the previous month was real. That it hadn't been a dream. He wasn't entirely sure what was going on, but everything seemed a hundred times better.

Paws covering the ground as he kept pace with the ambulances, Connor nevertheless had the sense to stay out of sight, especially given that the teenagers had been attacked by a wolf. He was sure that none of the police officers would hesitate to shoot if they saw another wolf. Yet as they drew near to the hospital, Connor slowed, padding up to the ambulances as the teens were ushered out, admist reports, and status updates, as if he merely wanted a pat. Just a stray dog, right? He looked for the girl, but his hearing picked up someone say "I-… My name is S-Syleste… Syleste Vos…” , and he stopped. Vos? It wasn't that common a surname-in fact, Connor was sure that his family were the only Vos's in America, and he looked towards the pink haired girl. Maybe she was some family he didn't know about?

A dull ache rose, from the knowledge that he was all alone. Mother dead, when he was a child, father killed by a wolf mere weeks ago. What if his father had had a sister, astranged? What if this was connor's only chance at family? He was torn between wanting to know more, and wanting to find the girl. Frustrated, he stood there, a whine escaping him. Looking to the pink haired girl again, and then around, and back, he stood, indecision freezing him.

Gage looked slowly over at his unconscious brother. Blood was everywhere his vision was fuzzy. He attempted to get up but that resulted in a scream of pain. One leg was broken the other was torn to bits. He looked around and heard ambulances. He had to get there...he had to get them both there. He carefully grabbed Aron around the middle and started dragging them both. It was a slow process and his back felt like fire.

Holy shit

Gage looked up. Paramedics good he was there. They rushed to help them and Gage swallowed. "He fell on a rock" the paramedics carefully put Aron on a stretcher. To be honest his wounds were less then Gage. Aron had two bites on either shoulder and claw marks dug into his chest. His head had a small gouge from where he hit that resulted in being passed out. He was rolled into an ambulance and it zoomed out.

The paramedics now focused on the mess that was Gage. His back was not only torn up from the wounds he had already had but also had added claw marks. His left arm had a deep bite mark and the knuckles on his right looked like he punched a wall. The worst was his legs. The right leg was broken and swollen. A clean break but broken none the less. His left leg....his left leg was shredded to the muscle. His eyes were clouded from blood loss and he was probably lucky to be alive. The paramedics put a stretcher next to him and counted before letting him. His screams were pained and loud.

Now on the stretcher he shuddered. He felt cold but he needed her. "S-Syleste" a paramedic was rolling him with haste before he reached out and grabbed him. Woah breath calm down we need to get you help right away you've lost a lot of Bl- Gage cut him off with a glare. "Put me in the one with the girl with the pink hair" the paramedic shook their head. Your friends are already at te hospital everyone is okay...you're lucky to have made it.

Gage was in a lot of pain and worried about Syleste. The ambulance sirens were hurting his head and it felt like forever before it reached the hospital. Once there he was rolled out with haste once more. He had to be stitched up. As they rolled by he spotted her. "Syleste!" he hoped she heard him. He hoped she would know he somehow survived.

Meanwhile Aron was still out cold. That was until he suddenly shot into sitting up then instantly regretted it. He put his hand on his head and then felt the wetness of his own blood. The doors opened and he lunged out. Aron's legs were fine but his upper body was awful. That didn't stop him though. "Cody!" his voice was desperate.

Quinton

Quinton had taken the time to change, to shift back to human and hurriedly dress in the backseat of his car, the attack once more forcing him to make a decision-go after the wolf that had done this, or go and make sure that the teens bitten-jesus, talk about an instant pack-were okay, and protect them. In the end, it was Zoe's choice, however, and as she was going with the teens, so was he. He did however take the time to call Callie, the owner of the bed and breakfast, who was watching Abigale for him, to make sure that the witch, and his daughter, were okay. In the background of the call, he could hear the wolf-dog pup barking, and the tiny cry of Abigale shouting "Remus! Sush! We're guests here" and he relaxed slightly. She was okay.

He told Callie that he might be a while, that something had happened, but he'd still pick up Abigale tomorrow as planned. Driving faster then the speed limit, Quinton followed the sounds of the ambulances to guide his way to the hospital, every instinct telling him to go and hunt down the wolf that had done this, to keep his family safe. But once more he was running. Gripping the wheel tightly, Quinton pulled into the parking lot, getting out, he stiffened as he saw a wolf nearby, but he relaxed just slightly, recognising it as one that had been there, helping in the attack.

He glanced about for Zoe, and around the lot, the hospital, and searching for any sign of the wolf that had attacked approaching, to finish off the job. He doutbed he'd be allowed into any of the rooms, but if he could, he'd try to. There were things that Zoe and himself could do, to ease the teenagers pain at the very least, and they had to know what was happening. His gaze falling on the wolf, who obviously had no idea how to shift with will, and the confusion on his face, as he looked about, Quinton remembered how the young wolf had leaped into the fight, when one of the girls had been attacked. Great. An imprinted teen-wolf. Just what we need right now. Strangely enough, his thoughts flickered to Zoe for a moment, and he shook his head.

The wolf kept on looking towards the pink haired girl, Syleste Quinton recalled, and Quinton wondered if the boy knew her. Blind, he recalled. They couldn't leave the wolf-pup in the parking lot-someone would shoot him and that would just be more hassle then it was worth, really, Quinton hurried to the gurney that held the pink-haired girl, clicking his fingers to get the pup's attention. "Hey, wait, wait! She needs her seeing eye dog. She's been attacked, and he should be with her. He lost his coat, is all" Without waiting to see what happened, he tilted his head, listening, trying to catch snippets of information about the teenagers. He;'d just have to hope that the pup wouldn't spontanously shift back to human, and cause more problems, but at least there would be someone else ready to protect the teens. They'd have to deal with him, as well. The young pup needed to know the hierachy.

Just how had this happened?

Location: Mia & Pia's Pizzeria & Brewhouse

Samael had been working for most of the day, helping out in the pizzeria, and setting up the pub for its nightly rush. There had been a few patrons come in early asking for a drink, wanting to talk but other than that it had been pretty quiet. It was days like this that made Samael's skin crawl it was quiet, too quiet for his liking and when night feel he intended to stir up some trouble. It was a miracle he had got this job in the first place, Zoe was wary about hiring a angel, even more so a fallen one, but when he explained his story and why he came to "her" city and showed her he knew how to make a drink and can keep the customers coming back she gave him a shot. Samael assumes that she kept his secrets considering hunters have not come to his door, so they have an okay relationship.

When the night came it was like a completely different kind of town. Its like the full moon brings out the crazy in people, the full moon sends a spark through peoples bodies and makes them easier to manipulate, its like everyone is on drugs and want to get into trouble. Samael knew this was true, he went to Vegas before and had seen it on a grander scale, seen what the full moon does to man and beast alike. Tonight was not different, this pub being one of the only places that server alcohol, was full of guest as usual, but is was no busier than the norm. The men, and some women, at the bar where all focused on him, taking in his appearance as usual waiting patiently at the bar for their drinks. These people where like horses who had not drank water for 40 miles and Samael was like a fresh lake.

As the night went on, Samael had caused some uproar, not really doing to much damage, just flirting with one or another, and making two people get into an argument. This is all he could really do simply because the last time he started a fight in Zoe's bar he got his ass kicked for it, and that was something he did not want to deal with again. If he wanted to have any real fun he needed to wait until after work when the moon was highest and he could tear up the town.

The pub had started to die down and this meant it was close to closing time. While he was talking to one of the the other bartenders working, Samael felt it, it was like a crackle through the air. He shoulder blades and back started to tingle, and that could only mean someone was out there up to no good. This caused him to smile, he could feel that a incident just happened, whether it had to do with the full moon or not, that did not matter, what mattered was that someone was having fun and leaving him out of it. But he would be free soon, then he could go and check what all the commotion was about. He looked at the man sitting at the end of the bar and walked over, pulled up a pint and poured the man his beer.

"Can I get you anything else?"

Miranda Burke.

Location: Sky Lakes Medical Center.

She was on a stretcher, Vision was blurred and there was lights and noises everywhere, Sirens? What the heck had just happened to them? It was supposed to be like every other camping trip, enjoying time with friends. Just like every other year before but this was different. She felt like she was moving, but there was a sharp shooting pains and breathing? She was struggling to breathe as she felt someone have their hand on her neck.

She was scared, was she dying? She lost a lot of blood, at least that was what she thought she heard in the mumbling of those trying to help her. Her whole body felt in pain, she had a deep bite mark on her thigh, there were several scratches on her body but the most notable and one was on her neck. The wolf must have struck there when it swatted her away from trying to help one of her friends.

Thoughts raced about her parents, her brother, god she wished he was here right now, why did he have to take of? Oh, god no her friends. She tried, damn she tried her best to help them, were they alive? She didn't know, she had slipped in and out of consciousness a few times. She could not recall much else of the attack, she was more fighting for her life than anything and see saw nothing of her friends. It made her gut wrench as she could even call out to them as there was the mixture of blood and sweat covering quite a bit of her body and that blonde hair.

“We have a nineteen-year-old female, slipping in and out of consciousness, she has wounds on her thigh with several others on her upper body including the right side of her neck”

With her slipping in and out, she couldn’t recall when she was put into the ambulance but she was secured on a bed with a couple of paramedics working frantically on here, she could feel the movement and odd rocking as the vehicle she was in made its way to the hospital. When they arrived at the hospital and the doors opened, Miranda could not feel the cold. She was already cold, barely making a sound as they rushed her out of the ambulance which caused her more pain once again making her slightly panic.

She felt a hand land on her shoulder, a paramedic trying to keep her calm and reassure her that everything was going to okay, how could it be? They all just got massacred by a wolf and she had no idea of how bad a state she was let alone the others. She wanted them to be safe and hoped that they all would make it. She only let out light whimpers when they moved her through into the hospital her injuries to her neck making it hard to make sounds when one was struggling with her breathing but luckily at some point she could recall throughout it all was they had put on Medical ventilator to help her breathing as she finally closed her grey eyes.

Kaylee Jade Evans

Location: Sky Lakes Medical Center.
Interacting With: Aron Brooks and Gage Brooks (@BlackPanther), Cassandra Spencer, Cody Treadwell and Quinton Matson (@Caits), Miranda Burke and Cleo D’Nile (@Damo021), Syleste Astrea (Vos) Nioré and Zoé Flores (@Vicier), and anyone else at the hospital.

The sound of someone’s panicked yell filled the air, adding to the already blaring noise around them all as a figure seemed to go flying right out of the back of one of the ambulances that had arrived at the hospital, the medic himself hitting the ground rather hard, and seeming to roll over it a couple of times before finally, he fell still, the other medics now free due to handing their patients over to the doctors and nurses working in the emergency ward, all rushing forward to help as the two that were left in the back of the ambulance continued to try and gain control over the young seventeen year old girl within it.

Needles. She hated them.

As a deep and threatening growl ripped out past her lips, Kaylee barred her canines, her eyes (now a brilliant yellow in color) glowing brightly as they flicked dangerously back and forth between the two medics that were doing their best to hold her while trying to administer a sedative that would help to calm her down. She didn’t want it- no, she didn’t need it. It didn’t matter that the full moon was hung brightly in the skies above them; she was in control… she was always in control…

A venomous snarl rumbling from somewhere deep within her chest, she slowly turned her head, her bright and unnatural eyes lifting inch by inch until they met with that of one of the two medics left at her side, the very action causing an uneasy whimper to pass through his lips; but that was all that she needed. Shooting her hand up the moment she saw that flicker of fear and weakness, she wrapped her hand tightly around his throat, the tips of her claws digging in, causing a small trickle of blood to leisurely trail down the length of his neck, and for him to close his eyes as he began to tremble against her hold, the other medic quickly deciding it better to let go, his terrified yells getting further and further away as he hurried to leave the scene, his body stumbling and the needle dropping to the ground just outside of the ambulance as he hit the asphalt.

“P-P-Please… p-please…”

Pathetic- her grip tightened, causing another few trickles of blood to roll down his neck as he shot his hands up to grab hold of hers, his actions desperate as he tried to pry her hand from his throat. This guy was a weakling… helpless… just like they had been- just like her friends had been when the camp had been attacked by that rogue alpha. She’d given in; she’d done the one thing she had always been taught not to do. She’d shifted in front of the humans- exposed the supernatural world to them, but that was the last of their problems.

She hadn’t been the only one.

Sure she had changed- she wanted to protect the others the only way that she knew how… though a lowly omega against an alpha was never going to end well. Sure she could hold her own, but only for so long before things went south. That was when he arrived. Another wolf; and the moment she thought she was a goner, he’d surprised her by turning on the alpha and standing by her side… but it hadn’t ended there. Two more showed up- one of them, another alpha. And while none of it seemed to make any sense to her, it didn’t matter; they’d managed to drive it away just in time, because the next thing she knew, sirens were blaring, red and blue lights were flashing, and she was hurrying to pull the large grey hoodie she assumed belonged to Gage down over her naked, injured and bloody body.

“P-Please… please, let-… please, let me g-go…”

Snapping her attention back up to the man she held tightly in her grip, Kaylee let another growl rip through her lips, her eyes (thanks to the influence of the full moon) growing more animalistic by the moment as she tilted her head to the side, her gaze fixated on his causing him to whimper once more, his body trembling against hers almost violently as she held him firmly in place.

“He didn’t let them go. So tell me, why should I let you go..?”

Callie

location: Cedar Ash inn

Callie placed the phone back down neatly as Quinton hung up, turning to face the young girl who was struggling to subdue a pup that weighed near as much as she did. Callie smiled, watching her for a moment. The wolf-dog pup tugged and pulled against Abigale's grip, gently as if he knew the young girl was breakable. Or would be very breakable if she wasn't a born werewolf. Callie's charms had alerted her to what the Father and daughter were, even though the werewolf gene was dormant in Abigale, when they had first arrived, and it had been easy to tell that Quinton at least knew she was a witch by her scent, which did have a characterist redwood scent that came from spelling, which all witches certainly had. Warlocks didn't have a strong redwood scent, just one of the many ways that you could distingush Witches and Warlocks.

They had an unspoken agreement, to not discuss what either were, and it worked. Quinton found in her someone who could watch his child when he could not, and Callie certainly enjoyed the girls company. She watched her for a few moments, before saying "Alright, sweetpea, time for bed. Your father just called to say he will see you tomorrow and that he loves you. Lets get up to your room" She clicked her figers, and stared at the wolf dog, who stared back, but then looked away. Pleased, Callie nodded to Abigale, "With wolf-dogs, especially the pups, you have to assert your dominance, kind of like with the alpha of the pack with their betas" She said, gently putting that reminder of pack hierachy in the young girls head, nudging both Abigale and Remus up the stairs.

The young pup had difficulty manuvering the stairs, but Callie nudged him along patiently, letting the pup figure out how to climb them as he bounded after Abigale, ungraceful but mastering, for the time being, the stairs. Helping Abigale into the bed, Callie did give Remus a lift up, watching as the pup curled up against Abigale, his eyes watching Callie. Tucking Abigale in, she turned to go, looking back at the young girl as she went to shut the door, the wolf-dog pups eyes glowing. Between the two of them, nothing would be harming the child. Nodding to Remus, Callie left the room, going back downstairs, she used a diabetic finger stick-something she had to pretend to purchase for a diabetic relative-and massaged three drops of blood onto the back of a wooden amulet, tucking it over her head and under her shirt. It was essentially a charm that would help to detect a threat, and as Callie stuck her finger in her mouth, she made sure that the place was looked up.

The very recent wolf attacks had her on edge, and Callie glanced towards her private kitchen, her spelling kitchen-it wasn't good to mix spelling prep and food prep-wondering if she should make a few more charms. Perhaps something a little offensive, rather then defensive? Although her sleepy-time potions worked well, it could be a pain landing them. She shook her head, knowing she was well stocked. Checking everything, she sat down with the phone, flicking the television on, waiting for another call from Quinton.

Connor

Location: Sky lakes medical centre

As the man Connor had seen around, that hee was sure was a wolf...too approached, bringing him over to the pink haired girl, Connor hesitated, looking to the ambulance that had approached, and the pink haired girl, standing there with indecision closing his thoughts. He glanced up to the moon, his eyes blinking. He decided he disliked the moon, very much. Looking back at the sound of commotion, Connor moved away quickly just in time to avoid the flying paramedic. He crouched, gaze flicking about for the cause of the flying healer, landing on the girl in the back of the ambulance. His heart almost stopped before giving a massive squeeze, its beat inceasing.

It was her. The girl he hadn't been stalking-okay, so he had watched her in the food store, and yeah, offered her a ride when she seemed lost. But he so totally hadn't been stalking her. The pink haired girl forgotten a moment, Connor watched the girl as she grabbed another medic by the neck. the scent of blood wafted over to him, he growled, the sound low in the back of his throat. He glanced down at his own furry body, realising what was happening. It had been her there, at the site. Shifted much like he was. A thrill sparked through Connor, and even as he heard hurried footsteps, and a cry of "Hey, calm down" behind him, he launched himself into the back of the ambulance, probably giving the paramedic currently being held a second heart attack at the sudden presence of a wolf, although maybe the man was just hoping he was a large dog.

Connor padded towards the girl, and without a single thought, he using the gurney to help rise himself, licked her cheek, managing to accidently brush his wet nose against her ear, quite possibly a wolves form of a wet willy, trying to get the girl to look at him. He growled again, none threatening, even as the man-wolf some part of connor thought, recognising his scent from the attack site, said "because he is human, and you are not. We don't kill the innocent, young one" The man kept his voice low-perhaps the medic wouuldn't even register what was said, "Taking a life is no easy thing, young one. Find your anchor"

Anchor? Just what did that mean?

"Find the thing that keeps you grounded, and do it now."

For a moment, Connor thought back to the fight. He had felt out of control, wild, the scent of blood driving him crazy, right up until the moment he had seen her. And then it was like being hit with a tone of bricks, freezing him, even as he had seen her change and he had just charged in, seeking to attacking the wolf, and protect the girl. Was that what this man meant? Yet why did that leave him as he was? He looked up at the girl, his gaze unblinking.

Cleo D’Nile

Location: The D'Nile home.

Kareen was worried, she knew it was a full moon tonight, A retired hunter knew these kinds of things and that is why she was also a little angry at Cleo. The little pain in the butt Dhampir and snuck out to be with her friends who were camping out for their yearly camping trip, she tried several times to get hold of her but failed. Eventually however, Cleo came blasting through the door and slamming it shut behind her, Luckily Darien was not around as he did night shifts. Her face looked a mess from where she had obviously been crying and messed up her eye liner.

Kareena immediately ran to the young teen who wasted no time in diving into her arms sobbing. “It was so horrible… It got them all!” Cleo sobbed into her guardian’s shoulder as she held her tightly. Kareena immediately took Cleo over to the couch to sit down and held the teens hands in her own, she could see that the fangs from Cleo’s mouth had extended. Something big happened at the camp, She could see it on the Dhampir’s face. “Cleo, Calm and deep breaths” She waited a moment. “Who got them? What happened?”

It was a disaster to say the least, getting told of for sneaking out was the least of the problems as Cleo thought back to it, seared into her memory forever. ow could she forget all that blood, there faces. It was supposed to be a great time, Defying Darien and being with her awesome friends, one of which was new and Apparently from Australia. That girl sensed of but the girl was from Australia and could have been weird for all she knew.

The other odd sense she would get was from Syleste, her blind friend that she adored so much, she is considered her bestie with beautiful pink hair which looked so awesome! Despite her ninja attempts, that girl always knew when Cleo was attempting to sneak up on her. “A werewolf, It attacked our camp...” She paused trying to keep herself calm, still visible shaken and upset. “It got them all, My friends! I should've done more to help them” She sobbed once more in Kareena’s shoulder, But she had to keep her secret as she recalled the events.

She could sense it coming, feeling even. It snapped her attention away from her friends immediately, they could not know what was coming for them, for they were simply having a great time. Cleo, felt it getting much closer and she worried her, most wolves would not think of attacking a group but this was no normal wolf. It was werewolf. Cleo had a bad feeling rising in her gut, she needed to warn her friend, but how? It was not as if she could tell them ‘Oh by the way guys I’m a Dhampir and I sense a wolf coming to make you it’s next happy meal’ So she made an excuse to move away from the group. She felt her fang where extending and she would struggle hiding if she turned to speak to one of them, she hoped to god she was wrong but excused herself to the toilet in the RV.

While in there she concentrated on her anxiety, to calm herself enough to retract her fangs, she was thankful she could do that. Her attention was cut short when sudden screen and commotion could be heard outside, the werewolf had attacked her friends and she was not there to help or protect them. She needed to get out there and do something. However, when she flung the door open of the RV the sight she saw shocked her and even made her feel sick. It was a bloodbath and couldn’t help but have water form in her eyes, she was like dear caught in the headlights not moving until the flash of another animal flew past her, A dog? Yes, a dog was taking on the werewolf. What a brave little thing it was, Cleo immediately sprang into action seeing the animal struggle to get the upper hand. Cleo ran over to a decent sized stick, her back facing the fight behind her. You could say it was her vampiric side, but the fun-loving Cleo everyone knew was not there in that moment, A serious look on her face as she looked back over her shoulder at the fight.

Without hesitation and in one fluid motion. Cleo spun round throwing the stick straight at the attacking wolf. The object hit its mark with great accuracy and with a hefty big of force that a normal human could not achieve, it was enough to distract the wolf with the surprise impact and slight whimper, it looked at her at that moment and Cleo’s met it's stare, probably stupid on her part. But, it left an opening for the dog to attack and it, Cleo took that moment to pull out her cell and dial 911, if there was one thing she could do was at least get help for her friends as quick as possible. She gave out the details the group and the attack, well the apart she could tell without giving away that the supernatural were involved and their location. It was when Cleo noticed another wolf turn up and join in the fight.

This was bad and she knew that she had to leave and was already stepping back when she another two join soon after and then she saw her. Zoe, yep at that point she knew it was her que to get the hell out and dodge when that woman showed up. Cleo was long gone before the ambulance showed up. When Cleo, recited some details of what happened Kareena looked at her, she to was worried for the teens, But she needed to protect Cleo. “Shhh.. It's okay honey, There was nothing more you could of done.” She was slowly stoking Cleo’s hair as the teen leaned and rested head on her aunts shoulder, Cleo felt there was more she could've done, She was Dhampir after all.

Magnus Bane

Magnus was dressed eccentrically as usual. A red silken shirt with ornate stitching in black. A couple necklaces and a ring with chains connecting to a bracelet. His eyes were rimmed with black and his nails painted a matte black. He sat in the bar more toward the back he seemed in another place and in reality he was. An owl hooted softly with golden eyes as it watched the hospital. He shook his head as he left the owl. He looked over at the angel and gave a small smile. like most Angels he was cute but this one had a bad boy edge most feathered ones didn't have.

He lightly made his way up to the bar and drifted past him. "I don't know about that one but I could go for a martini...dirty of course." he then looked directly at the Angel. "Or your buddy over here can make me one and you can join me in checking on some...puppies." he winked and turned his attention on the other bartender who took the hint and made the martini placing it in front of Magnus. "Thank you biscuit" as he drank the liquid his vision went back to the owl.

Seemed there were more then he thought and one seemed a tad aggressive. His vision went back to him and he blinked before downing the rest. "Seems I have to go early." he walked past the Angel and winked as he went. His pace picked up as he hopped into his car. A small convertible with black paint...he sped to the hospital and parked a bit away. Hopping out he made a beeline for the group around the pup clutching an innocent.

He stopped and made sure he was in view of the wolf pup and the pup in human form. "Listen to the wolf puppy and gently put the nice snack down." he slid a glance at the man...Quinton...maybe. And then he refocused on the woman intent on killing the poor paramedic. He let his eyes flicker to snake like and got a bit closer before they went back to normal. "This man is not that werewolf. Killing him will only cause a mess" his voice went to a soothing tone knowing the full moon was messing with her head...and probably the newer pup beside her.

Linus Teague-Winslet

Location - Sky Lakes Medical Center
Interacting with: Nobody really, but anyone at the hospital (@BlackPanther @Caits @Vicier) can interact with him

A pair of large, light brown eyes scanned the pristine halls of the medical center as their owner, a boy who looked no more than 10 years old, walked down the corridors with his head held high and a bemused expression on his lightly freckled face. What was a kid doing here all alone? Probably visiting a dying relative or something. The staff at the front desk hadn't even noticed him walking in.

Fact was, the innocent looking blond boy had been stealing surgical tools from the operating room. Who couldn't use a good scalpel or three? Besides, if he didn't end up needing them, he could hawk them for money. The kid didn't really need money, seeing as he stole everything anyway, but he often gave what little money he came across to those who needed it more than he did.

Right now, he was mostly just looking to get out quickly before anyone noticed the supplies were missing, when he heard some commotion at the entrance to the ER. A couple of bloodied teenagers were hurried into the hospital on stretchers. Linus didn't mind the sight of blood, so he stood back and examined them for a while. They looked like they'd been attacked by some sort of animal. Strange, he thought. Animal attacks seemed to be getting pretty common these days, and he didn't even frequent the hospital much. He knew the city was rife with werewolves and other nefarious creatures, but for whatever reason it looked to him that their most recent victims was a bunch of conventionally attractive teenagers. There were a lot of those in this town, that's for sure...

"Hey, kid. You shouldn't be here unattended..."
The voice of a tall, gruff looking security guard caught Linus's attention. This wasn't good. If they found out that he'd come here alone, he'd be caught in no time. Linus stammered out "I-I have t-t-to leave...", his distinctive Scottish accent making the guard do a double-take. The guard fiddled with the syringe full of tranquilizers at his belt, looking the blond kid over carefully. "Wait a second. Ain't the orphanage looking for you, little boy?"

Alexis Farreacher

Location: Farreacher home → Kalmath Falls Streets
Interacting with: Nobody yet

For several nights Alexis felt the rising tension in the air. Her dreams were often muddled or very unclear in a way. Some were troubled or straight up alarming. Or at least the ones she remembered. Still, there was something even more unusual than usual going on and Alexis’ usual was already pretty strange. Recent nights she often woke up in the middle of the night without a reason. So tonight she decided to crawl under the covers early. She fell asleep like a brick.

But her dream was anything but normal. She found herself floating over Klamath Falls. Above her, the moon shined her pale light down upon the girl and the city below her. The silvery light of the stars turned the normally dull dark-blue night sky into a lively mosaic of constellations. All the clouds that should block the view seemed to lay below her. As thick fog covering the entire city. While the sky above her was brightly illuminated, below her everything looked dark and black. A few dim lights shone far away. With all her willpower she tried to focus on a distant light. She and asked the invisible force she assumed was all around her. Luckily it worked. The vision was blurred but Alexis managed to discern the light to be amber color and moving. For a split second, the blur sharpened. Revealing the silhouette of the Cedar Ash Inn. Right before Alexis lost her focus and the vision retracted back to her view high above the sky. Just ready to see some silvery light moving swiftly in the distant. First like an arrow, straight and true, it seemed to dash through the forest’s trees. But suddenly the graceful movement became erratic. It jumped left and right. Stayed in one place for a second only to jump away again. Everywhere it stayed for a second, a very dim, silvery light lit up. Clearly, something was happening and Alexis knew it. Yet, like a fish trying to swim on earth, she barely knew how to move in her dream. She fought, demanded and pushed in her dream, but it was all futile. A howl echoed from the forest as the silvery light dashed away once more. A howl echoed through the sky. A howl powerful enough to throw her out the dream.

Grasping for air, as if she was underwater too long, Alexis shot up from her bed. Throwing her covers off her. Something was happening or happened. The young warlock wasn’t about to just let it happen. Curiosity drove her. She took the dreamcatcher from above her bed and grabbed a few amethysts and an opal she laid down on her window still. The workshop bench was, as per usual, littered with pieces of wood and minerals. She brushed them all aside with a swift arm swipe and laid down the amethyst around dreamcatcher. If she wasn’t too late she could still draw upon the dream. Fused with the pale light of the moon, it could guide her. With all the minerals arranged in a circle around the web of dreams she held her hands over it. Reaching out towards the soft light sealed within the gems. Gathering it over the dreamcatcher. The feathers, cord and the small pearls soaked in the visible pale, white light as Alexis closed her eyes. Requesting guidance based upon the dream. In her thought, she repeated the request several times over. Until a rush of energy came out of the dreamcatcher. Surprised she opened her eyes. Before her floated a small wisp of moonlight.

Right then, her dad opened the door. “You’re still up?”

For a second, Alexis had to do a double-take. Looking at the wisp, then at her dad and back at the wisp. No, he didn’t see it. Luckily for her. “I –euhm- Still had some homework to finish.” For a second her dad looked at her with suspicion. But his little girl rarely got into trouble. Well, she rarely got into anything. So he just nodded and left her room. After which Alexis let out an audible sigh. But the poor girl wasn’t given much time to take a breath. The wisp flew out of her room through the window. Hastily chased by Alexis. Who realized that wisp was here to guide her. Unknown if the thing would wait for her, she simply took her Grimoire and opened up her window completely. Having a room on the ground level really did have its perks.

Sebastian

Location: Campsite - Sky Lakes Medical Center

The screaming sirens blared loudly as Sebastian groaned loudly, forcing himself to crawl across the forest floor towards the rest of the nearest body. He couldn't discern who it was in the darkness, however he could tell that they weren't moving. His hands reached out and he found their neck, checking to see if they had a pulse. A small moan drifted from deep within their chest, revealing that they were alive.

Grimacing in pain, the boy crawled past the figure he had just examined and moved to the next one, making sure they were breathing. Before he could reach them, a flare of pain shot through his side, causing him to scream just before he lost consciousness.

"One, two, three, up!" Sebastian's body was jostled violently as he was moved onto a stretcher. Multiple hands touched him, removing his shirt, checking his pulse, shining a flashlight in his eyes. The three medics surrounding him began rolling him on a stretcher across the road to a nearby ambulance. The bright lights overwhelmed the boy's eyes, and a high pitched ringing in his ears blocked out all other sounds.

A few concerned voices continued speaking over him, however everything seemed muted and distant. Blue gloves covered in blood worked on his wounds, causing sharp pains to shoot through him.

"Where are they?" Sebastian's voice was choked and raspy, no doubt a result of the screaming he had used to repulse the wolf. He remembered the attack in flashes: A dark form leaping at Gage, Miranda and Kaylee being knocked over as the wolf descended upon them, Sebastian engaging the creature to distract it. That was one thing he remembered clearly; none of the others knew what was attacking them, and they didn't stand a change against it. Sebastian had to make sure they were okay. The Siren had fought the Werewolf with everything he had, however it was far more powerful than he was. His screaming had weakened the creature, but it had also enraged it.

"Where are the others?!" Sebastian attempted to sit up, however multiple hands pushed him back onto the stretcher. "Did you get all of them? Are they okay?" Panic rose in his throat, causing his voice to echo far louder than normal and cause one of the paramedics to cover his ears, cringing at the high volume of Sebastian's words.

"Lie down, everyone is fine." A soothing voice spoke calmly, however it didn't do much to alleviate his worries. "Everyone was found, everyone's alive. If you struggle, you'll only injure yourself worse."

Sebastian ignored the warnings and tried to sit up again, ignoring the pain that flared through his right shoulder where the wolf had bitten him; he had other injuries on his legs where he had kicked the wolf in the mouth and its teeth had torn his flesh. Multiple claw and bite marks covered his bare torso, however they were the least of his concerns.

A small pain appeared in Sebastian's arm as a medic issued him a sedative, pulling him into a waking sleep for the rest of the ambulance ride. The memories of being pulled out of the stretcher and into the hospital were vague and blurred together with the many halls the hospital contained. Images of a small boy, blood, and glimpses of his friends floated into his vision, however Sebastian was too disoriented to react to them.

Eventually, he fell into a fevered sleep as multiple people worked over his body, cleaning his wounds and stitching them closed...

Cody

Location: Sky Lake medical centre

"Cody"

The frantic yell had Cody's head whipping around, trying to place where it had come from, his heart clenching as he tried to find Aron, but relief spreading through him as he realised that Aron was okay-or at least okay enough to yell for him. "Aron!" he shouted, his voice a little raw, and filled slightly with the pain from the various wounds he had, but he didn't care about that. The relief made him feel weak, even as there was a wash of adrenaline at his need to find Aron. Cody had come out almost three years ago, with the support of his parents, after a lot of long talks, yet he had never had a serious boyfriend-nothing had felt right, not when he had had a very potent crush on Aron. Finally getting up the courage to tell him how he felt? He couldn't lose that now.

"Aron" He called again, trying to find even a hint of his boyfriend. He caught a glimpse of Aron, and he let out a cry of relief, slumping back on the stretcher, even that small exerution weakening him. He wanted to get up, to make his way over to Aron, but even as he tried to move, to swing his legs over the stretcher, to gritt his teeth and ignore the pain, someone pushed him back down. "17 year old male, who refuses to lay down, claw and scratch marks over his body, bad sprain, potential fracture of his left tibia or fibia. Potential concussion, but vital signs good-" Cody didn't want to hear this, and he called out "Aron!" Again, trying to twist around to catch a glimpse of Aron again.

"Oh, for the love of-Someone make sure those two are in the same room, there's enough yelling in this place, we don't need anymore"

Cody let himself be pushed back, and held down with relief, his breath coming out in small pants and he sought to calm his breathing. He shook, letting his eyes close. Aron was okay. He'd be with him. His friends seemed to be okay. Or as okay as they could be. They'd all live, right? There seemed to be a small commotion going on, but Cody didn't care. Aron was okay.

"Aron..." he murmurrd, thoughts once more focusing on Aron, they did drift towards the others, and Cody felt a spark of guilt. He really did hope everyone was okay. Oh, god, what about Syleste? She wouldn't have been able to see what was going on, only the terrible sounds of the attack. She was probably so confused, so frightened, and he opened his eyes, looking around for the flash of pink that would be Syleste. "Syl...Cassie...oh, god, Gage...Miri...Cleo...are my friends okay?" But no one answered, and Cody suddenly felt alone, and he realised something serious was going on. There were still medics around, but suddenly there seemed to be a tense situation. More and more, he wanted to try to get to Aron, not sure what he could do in the state he was in, but knowing that he wanted to be there, to protect Aron if something happened.

Kaylee Jade Evans

Location: Sky Lakes Medical Center.
Interacting With: Connor Vos and Quinton Matson (@Caits), and Magnus Bane (@BlackPanther).

“Hey, calm down.”

The sound of another’s voice caused her ears to peak, yet another deep and threatening growl emanating from somewhere deep within her chest as the sight of movement caught not only her eye, but also her attention, causing her to turn her head ever slightly, her brightly glowing eyes lifting to meet with that of the man who seemed intent on approaching her- he was either extremely brave, or exceedingly stupid… and that was when it hit her.

The smell of chocolate… freshly mown grass… and something a touch smokey filled the confines of the ambulance, wafting over to her, and filling her senses forcing her to keep her attention locked onto the man before something else caught her nose- wood… books… smoke… all so familiar, and all too hard to resist as they engulfed her, almost completely overwhelming her, but before she could let it, the terrified whimpers of the medic pulled her back to the present, causing her to refocus, and to hold her ever unwavering grip over his throat, the tips of her claws now stained a brilliant crimson red in color as she dug them just that little bit further in, causing the man to once more struggle against her hold.

Calm..?

Why was everyone telling her she needed to be calm..? She was calm. Completely in control of her actions. Barring her sharp canines just that bit more than before, Kaylee once more turned her full attention back over to the medic; the sorry excuse for a human whimpering pathetically for his life to be spared, over and over… honestly, who in the hell hit the repeat button..?

Her cheek was wet… the feeling of a course tongue slipping out over it a couple of times piqued her interest, though she did everything within her power to keep from turning to him… from looking back at him… knowing that the moment she did, any resolve she had would be gone. There was something about him; something about him that had everything around her stopping- that had her mind filled with thoughts about him, about the both of them… together. It wasn’t the first time he had managed to find his way into her thoughts- the first had been at the grocery store on her first day in town, the second when he had offered her a lift after she’d managed to get herself lost looking for the regular meeting place…

The thought had crossed her mind… thoughts about just why it was she seemed so drawn to him the way that she was; but she refused to believe it… She’d been told, straight out, by her alpha back in Australia that it was something that happened only when a were-creature met their true mate… the one they were destined to be with for the rest of their lives; but there was no way… it just couldn’t happen- not to her… not like this…

“..because he is human, and you are not. We don’t kill the innocent, young one.”

“Listen to the wolf, puppy, and gently put the nice snack down.”

Another voice… another figure in the ever increasing group filling the back of the ambulance; though this one seemed a hell of a lot more condescending than the first was. Unable to help but snarl in anger at having been referred to as a ‘pup’, Kaylee narrowed her brightly glowing yellow eyes, her gaze focussed intently on the prey she had in her grasp.

“This man is not that werewolf. Killing him will only cause a mess.”

Honestly… was it so hard for people to mind their own business..? She wasn’t stupid, she knew that this man wasn’t the werewolf that had attacked the camp; but as for causing a mess… it was well too late to worry about that. Her friends, every single one she had only just made, were all laying down on stretchers bloodied and ripped open because some bastard of a wolf decided it was a good idea to go on a rampage, and to chomp down on everything that came into their line of sight… now how that wasn’t a mess, she wasn’t sure.

“Taking a life is no easy thing, young one. Find your anchor.”

Her anchor..? That was gone; long gone, she could feel it, and now-… now she didn’t know what it was anymore. Even if she wanted to pull herself back in, she couldn’t, it was impossible and she wouldn’t know where to even start without going back to the basics and using pain to force her back to her human state.

“Find the thing that keeps you grounded, and do it now.”

Snapping her head around so that her gaze met with that of the male speaking to her, Kaylee snarled angrily, her fangs barred in warning though she seemed to pull herself back only slightly, the sound dying down to nothing more than a growl as finally, she tore her gaze away from him, instead letting it come to a rest on that of the wolf beside her, and instantly, it was as though all sense of realization came crashing down upon her, causing her to quickly turn her gaze back to the paramedic she had held firmly in place.

What in the hell was she doing..? This wasn’t her… this wasn’t who she was…

Retracting her hand quickly from the man’s neck, Kaylee took a step back from him, her eyes (now returning back to their normal color) flicking back and forth a few moments before they fell to her hands, the sight of the man’s blood over her claws causing her to shake slightly as slowly, they along with her canines pulled back, disappearing from sight as she once more began to gain control over herself.

“I-I-… I couldn’t-… I couldn’t protect them… I couldn’t stop it…”

Shutting her eyes tightly, Kaylee took a few moments, doing what she could to stop herself from falling victim to the familiar sting she felt flickering across the surface of her eyes, though when she realized there was no getting away from the tears, she turned, her gaze once more meeting with that of the wolf before finally, she reached out towards him, her movements hesitant… careful… almost loving as she slid her bloodied fingers back into his fur, her arms wrapping gently around the back of his neck, she closed the gap between them, pressing her forehead lightly against his as she gave in, allowing the tears to stream down her cheeks and into his soft fur.

“I-I couldn’t stop him…”

Linus backs up a few steps. He had no lie to get himself out of this one. He had no excuse for being at the hospital by himself, and had no idea how much the security guard knew about his being an escaped ward of the state and all. The boy's mind raced for something to do, but unfortunately he was far too impulsive to stop himself from doing something rather stupid.

He gripped the handle of one of the scalpels in his pocket. "That's n-none of your business." He said in the toughest voice he could muster. The guard's eyes widened and he stepped forward, ready to grab the kid and put him under in a second. "What's in your pocket?" The guard barked, prompting Linus to whip out the scalpel and throw it at the guard full-force.

The guard failed to react fast enough to stop the scalpel from slashing across his arm as it flew through the air until it hit the wall. He only briefly stopped to hiss in pain before grabbing Linus by his unruly blond locks, forcing the kid to his knees and pinning his hands behind his back. The guard pulled out his radio. "Somebody call the state department. I think I've got a missing child here."

Linus tried to writhe out of the guards grip, but to no avail. Being so small, he was powerless against the adult. He still had a few scalpels in his pockets, but with his arms pinned behind his back they were useless. At this point, he was likely headed for Juvenile Detention instead of the state ward, which would likely be trickier to escape from...

Connor

"I just want to hold her, and tell her it will be alright..."

Magnus Bane (@BlackPanther) and Kaylee Evans (@Vicier)

Connor watched the girl, wishing he knew her name, but her scent washed over him that tentilising smell of eucylptus engulfing him, bringing to mind that very first encounter. He still didn't know what was going on, but right then, it didn't seem to matter, perhaps it was just easier to go with the flow, and figure it out later. As she run fingers through his fur, sending light shivers across his body, Connor licked the tears from her cheeks, wanting to do more yet finding a wolfs abilities to be suprisingly lacking in comforting humans.

It was maddeningly frustrating for Connor, when all he wanted to do was take her in his arms, name or no name. He couldn't pretend that there wasn't something drawing him to her, not when it consumed his whole being. He didn't take his eyes offher, yet he was quite aware of those around them, listening to make sure no one was trying to get closer. If there was anything threatening, Connor knew he would act. There hadn't been much thought given, when he had leaped in before, and he knew he'd do anything to protect her.

Connor could well understand the feeling of blame, of guilt. While he knew it was foolish, a part of him couldn't help but wonder, now, if that wolf had been gunning for him, and his father just got in the way. He made a small noise, wanting to say that it wasn't her fault and just hoping that she understand. His claws made little clicking sounds as he shifted, continuing to lick her face. He closed his eyes, shifting again to lay his head on her shoulder, inhaling her scent, a paw on her leg.

What happened next probably surprised Connor more then it did anyone else. Everyone else might just think he had willed it to happen, that it wasn't the...fourth time he'd done this, but to Connor, suddenly finding himself crouching, naked was a surprise on a night full of surprises. He blinked, reaching up automatically to wrap his arms around the girl, thinking that everything was so biazer as it was, that he was far beyond caring that he was naked. He had just been a freaking wolf. Without even thinking about it, Connor wiped away the tears, and kissed her, trying to put in everything he truly wanted to say. it's not your fault didn't seem to be enough. this might be strange, yet I can't get you out of my head he might just send her running away from that. Don't cry...

"Its Connor, by the way"

It took him that long to realise that they had never exchanged names, an oversight that before hadn't seemed that big. Now however Connor wanted to know her name, wanted to be able to call her by it, his nakedness forgotten, as his thoughts, his very existance, seemed to revolve around her. He would do anything to make her happy, and to wipe away the tears. Anything. Absently, he realised that the man was holding out a set of clothes, and briefly he wondered where they had come from. Right away, Connor knew that the clothes would be too short, but he supposed right then, it didn't matter. He gave a nod, and took the clothes, a little flustered now as reluctantly he let her go, his tall frame making it a challenge in the ambulance, he nevertheless wriggled into the clothes. He had been right, they were at least sixth inches too short, and quite loose on him. He nearly laughed hysterically when the thought crossed his mind that he must look like a teenage girl trying to show off their midriff, nevermind the fact that they were mens clothes.

He looked back to the girl, slightly embrassed.

Selina

"Forget her...its just not possible...why me?"

Selina was still perched on the thick tree branch she had watched the campsite from, drawn from the job she had been on by the strange scent she had caught. There was wolf, and that lit anger in her, twisting her stomach in knots of fury, yet the strange scent-not quite wolf, not quite dog stilled her enough that she choose to watch, rather then attack. If there was a pack here, Selina knew she'd need guile rather then brute force, to either get through, or take them down. She lay on the branch, her claws-on both her hands, and bare feet-digging in to maintain her balance as she stretched out, her stomach pressed against the branch, and her legs positioned just so that she wouldn't fall.

The attack had been a suprise. She watched the battle, eyes following the wolves movements, even as it mauled the teens. The presence of not one wolf, but four nearly had Selina growling, yet common sense made her deathly silent. The were-creature threw her off balance, her mind flicking through those she knew. Something Foreign? It didn't seem to matter. Selina let her eyes roam over the people below her, when something seemed to slam into her, almost knocking her off her precarious perch. She gripped the branch tighter, pressing further against the bark, her eyes watching the blonde haired girl, her breathing slightly raggered.

No. It couldn't be. It couldn't happen to her, not like this, not with...with...a wolf-because that's what the girl would be. A werewolf. Horror filled Selina, and she tore her gaze away with a massive outpowering of will. She closed her eyes, growling lightly. No. She had not imprinted. She had to force herself to stay where she was, listening to the ambulances sirens grow fainter and fainter, as the distance increased. She clutched the branch tightly, digging her claws in deeper and deeper, she didn't seem to notice the mild pain that came along with it.

She had not imprinted.

She closed her eyes, for a moment, trying to pretend that she wasn't seeing the blonde haired girl, and her fabolous eyes. She shifted when it seemed all noise had faded and swung down, landing smoothly much like a cat. Retracting her claws, she glanced about, taking in the scents. fear was heavy on the air, as was pain, and she thought she caught a wiff of something intoxicating. Clenching her jaw, Selina hissed out through her teeth. No. Steeling her gaze, she looked about at the blood and destruction, crouching and searching for the tracks of the wolf that had attacked, but it was impossibe-the wolves that had intervened, their prints were all about her, and without knowing who was who, she wouldn't be able to track the wolf and kill it.

She glanced up at the moon, growling. She refused to let her thoughts go to the girl, refused to let them linger anywhere near there. She was not going to be mates with a dirty, stinking, wolf. Pressing a hand to her stomach, still in knots, Selina glanced around the camp site again. As begrudingly as she'd want to admit, the teenagers hadn't done anything, and thus she couldn't kill them. Yet. The slightest hint, and she'd be there, killing them. Best to kill them before they learned how to use their new abilities. Of course, the bites might just kill them....and wouldn't that be pleasent for her? Unbidden, her mind drifted back towards that girl, and she growled, walking away from the camp site. There was absolutely no way that she was heading towards town now, and her job would just have to wait for the time being. She had more pressing concerns right now.

First up, somewhere to stay. She was sure she had seen somewhere offering lodging...a ranch of some kind? The Running Y Ranch, that was it. It certainly wasn't like she really had to worry about money-taking the jobs she did, she had money set aside to splurge a little. Making her way to the Ranch took some time, but Selina did it, dealing with the clerk behind the counter who was trying to tell her that all the rooms were taken-it was New years, after all. Selina let him waffle on, and then leaned forward.

"You have rooms, now give me one. I can pay" She slammed cash down on the counter, and looked the man square in the eyes, tempted to let her blue-werecat eyes shine. She knew she looked a little ragged, being bare-footed, yet this was just intolerable. Finally getting a room, Selina flopped down onto the bed, closing her eyes. Gray eyes haunted her, and Selina growled, rolling over onto her stomach. She was sorely tempted to call her father up, and talk this through with him, but that could easily be a double edge sword. She justed wanted him to tell her that she hadn't imprinted, that it simply wasn't possible. But she knew what he would say, and what was the point of hearing it?

She sighed heavily. There was a meowing at the door, and Selina blinked, realising she had forgotten Antaya, but the white bi-coloured eyed cat could fend for herself quite easily. Chances were that she had tracked Selina down. Rising, Selina rose and opened the door, scooping the cat up into her arms, purring already. Returning to the bed, gray eyes haunted her.

Damn it.

The roar of the engine… so familiar, ripped out through the normally peaceful air as it sped down the street, growing louder… more prominent with each and every moment that passed, and bringing her ever closer to her destination- the hospital. The very thought of what had happened; of the teenagers that had been targeted by that monster she now had to deal with… of the situation he had forced on her and those kids…

The mere thought had a frustrated growl ripping out from somewhere underneath her helmet.

Gripping hold of the handlebars, Zoé sped up, her chest pressing closer against the body of the bike as the tires seemed to almost fly over the tar that made up the road beneath her, the sheer speed causing loose bits of gravel to crunch underneath the weight of the tires as she continued to follow the route leading her to Sky Lakes. She’d had a feeling… the increase in the supernatural community had come quickly; too quickly in fact, especially in the last few years. It was making it harder to keep the humans from finding out about them… it also made it harder to keep those who meant harm to her home, and to those she loved, in check.

A single hand slipped from the handlebar, her palm pressing lightly against her side where the pain of her recently updated tattoo was all but gone- the names of those in her pack; no, the names of her family… James Burke, Sombra Burke… and as of just a few days ago, Quinton and Abigale Matson. It had hurt like a bitch- the needles, stabbing at her skin over and over again, pushing the ink into her body where it would forever stay..? That she could handle… but she was a wolf. She healed. Tattoo’s were something that were a bit more complicated when the body deemed them to be an injury.

No… that was what the blowtorch was for.

The pain was unimaginable; worse than anything she had ever felt before in her life, and she was more than sure that Derek had enjoyed ‘helping’ her way more than he actually should have… damn that Hale… there were times when he was almost as bad as his uncle.

Slowing down her speed as she came into the bend leading to the parking lot of the hospital, she took to the turn, her body lifting up slightly and for only a moment before she drew ever closer into it, her free hand returning back to the handles, and her grip readjusting and tightening before she twisted the throttle, not only revving the engine, but also forcing more gas into the cylinders causing for it to pick up speed once more as she rushed towards the end closest to the emergency ward. She could practically taste it now… the blood; the animosity… the fear… it was all hung in the air, thick enough to cut through with a damn knife, and seeming to have no end in sight.

Catching sight of the ambulances through the visor of her helmet, Zoé slammed on the brakes, her foot dropping down and pressing firmly into the ground below her causing the tail end of the bike to swing around; kicking about some gravel before finally, it came to a complete stop, resting up against her inner thigh as she readjusted herself over the seat, her head lifting up just in time to see not only a figure go flying out of the back of one of the ambulances, but also to watch three separate figures go rushing in.

Perfect… an out of control wolf… that’s all she needed…

Groaning out in slight frustration to the ever escalating situation, she stooped her head down slightly and began to loosen the strap of her helmet before she took a hold of either side of it; a wave of long dark locks falling down and over both her back and shoulders the moment she removed her helmet from her head, placing it down on the bike between her body and the handles. She had expected the medics… hell, she expected her sister to be there too; but the fact that there had been two others like her there at the camp site..? That she wasn’t expecting…

Lifting her body up off of the cushion, Zoé swung her leg over the body of the bike, her fingers quickly working to remove her leather gloves and to shove them into the back pocket of her jeans before she was off, her boots crunching over the path as she made her way through the crowd and towards the commotion going on, her eyes (flickering a brilliant red in color) turning over to get a glance of what was happening in the back of the ambulance- whatever had happened, it seemed to be over and done with now; Quinton was in control of the situation, and with the appearance of Magnus, and now her older sister approaching…

Yeah… she was in for a long night…

“Ah, ah, ah..! Don’t even get started on me tonight, Myra…” Shooting her hand up the very moment her sister opened her mouth to speak, she shot her a look, her eyes glowing brightly and in warning as the woman shot her back a glare, “I’ve been through hell already, and there’s still a shit ton more I need to do.”

“This was done by one of your lot, wasn’t it..? You at least have to tell me that.”

Pausing a moment, Zoé hesitated, her eyes closing for a brief second before she nodded her head lightly in response to her sister’s question- as much of a job she was going to have dealing with the new wolves that managed to survive the bite, her sister had just a big a job in trying to cover it all up in one way or another, “..yes... yes it was…”

Forcing her attention back over to the task at hand, she shot another look over at the four figures in the ambulance, eyes meeting with Quinton’s for the briefest of moments in a silent understanding for him to come and find her with the others when he was ready before she turned back to the hospital in front of her, her feet once more moving, and her pace picking up as she hurried through the door, stopping just inside so that she could get an idea of just how bad things had gotten, and how hard it was going to be for her to do what it was that she needed to do.

There were doctors and nurses everywhere… teenagers on stretchers; beaten, bruised, and bloodied among other things. A security guard with a slashed face, and a child causing a fuss as he tried to pull away from the older man’s strong grip. That child… she knew him; seen him around more than once, but never with a parental figure, and with the scent she was getting off of him..? This was yet just another situation she was going to have to step into and sort out.

“That child belongs to me; if you have a problem with it, why not take a little walk outside and speak to the chief about it.”

Narrowing her eyes (now back to their normal color), Zoé made her way forward, not even seeming to skip a beat as she leant forward, her arms both reaching out to take a hold of the boy, hoisting him up into the air, and holding him against her body before continuing on her way, her eyes flicking about as she continued to look for the people she knew she was going to need the most co-operation from, “..it’s foolish of you to pull stunts like that; especially if you don’t want to get caught… You’re to stay by my side; stray from it, and you will regret it… I don’t think that guard is going to forget what you did any time soon. Speaking of which, you’re going to give everything you stole from here to my friend when we speak to him, understand..?”

Not even bothering to wait for an answer, though making her point clear enough for the child to fully understand that she wasn’t joking around with him, she let her gaze once more flick about the hall they were in, lingering every so often upon different figures before she found the ones that she was looking for specifically, “Melissa… Xerxes… I need your help; and someone has something that he needs to give to you…”

Frowning slightly, she closed the gap between them as she felt their eyes falling upon her person, her arms shifting around the boy, though her hold around him remained gentle… loving… almost motherly as she glanced between the nurse and the doctor, each so different from one another, but each entwined deeply within the community kept secret from the rest of the world.

“I knew this wasn’t just a normal attack… It’s happening again, isn’t it..? They were bitten just like Scott was when he was their age…”

“Melissa relax; I’m going to take care of everything, but I need you both to help me.” Turning her head back so that she was able to look over her shoulder at one of the stretchers closest to her, Zoé sighed out softly in frustration, eventually managing to return her gaze back over to the two who were stood in front of her, “I need you both to help me get them into the one room; those who were bitten, they’re going to start healing soon, if not already, and that’s going to lead to questions… and not just from the rest of the staff…”

Pausing a moment, she let her gaze settle, meeting with that of Xerxes and knowing that out of the both of them, he was the one who was going to understand the most, “..I need to be there to answer those questions… or else what happened tonight is going to be the least of our problems; and your daughter..? Xerxes, let me help her.”

Linus flinched back as Zoe leaned down to pick him up, but didn't resist. This was a good way to get out of going to Juvy, after all. But why did this girl want to abduct a random kid?

As soon as they were out of sight of the guard, he shot an icy glare up at the dark haired young woman. " 'Ey, what do you want from me?" He snapped at her, his Scottish brogue extremely evident. "Think you can just pick me up and walk away with me, do you?" He was rather suspicious of this girl, to say the least. Anyone who would just pick up a strange child and walk away with him was not to be trusted. She was probably going to sell him to a crime syndicate or something. At least that would be easier to escape from than Juvy, he thought.

Thinking over his situation for a moment, he stopped speaking to the strange woman, simply allowing himself to be carried off and nodding briskly when she demanded that he hand over his stolen scalpels to her friend whenever they came across him. The girl had by now started talking to two people, and Linus did nothing, not really sure what to do. He was still terribly confused by the situation, which wasn't helped by the fact that he hadn't had the chance to pilfer cigarettes from the cornerstore and was getting anxious and jittery. He kept his head down, nervously biting his nails. This was not a good situation. On top of being a nicotine addict, he also had pretty bad epilepsy, and withdrawal tended to trigger seizures. Seeing as he was currently being kidnapped by strangers, that seemed like a disaster waiting to happen.

However, being the prideful kid he was, he didn't say anything to the girl who'd picked him up and walked away with him. It probably would have been a good idea to mention his numerous medical conditions, but he'd made it this far without ever having proper treatment for any of them. He didn't think that was something she needed to know.
