So I see these Fairy Tail Rp's appearing here and there and I like the idea so far on this one. The thing that always keeps me away is I have never seen the Anime or know little about it. Id like to learn a little, but I rather not spend three hours reading the summary...

To join, would I really need to know all the Char's in the show and all the powers and such? Of course I would do enough research to make my character correctly.

Edit; Also, I would expect that flight, either natural or magical, would be commonplace if floating landmasses are a frequent occurrence. Or at least something to mitigate the dangers of falling to one's death.

Yes, that is something I've been considering. In particular, I'm thinking Steampunk Gliders built for personal aerial combat could be standard tool for the Librarium and maybe even the rare Sky Pirate who happens to steal one for their own use.

As for everyone else; Thanks for your interest and your patience while we get everything sorted.

Since we have airships, I dont think it would be a stretch for navigators to keep good records about winds currents and common weather conditions. Maybe something like multi layered map or an almanac.
If certain winds flow cosistently in one direction or another, then you could have glider ferries or aerial highways for glider traffic.

Also if these ships are held aloft by magic, what's powering the magic? Are there any measures taken to protect it?

Also, maybe some skies could be plagued by the occasional beast or something. From the typical bird-like creatures to something more strange or mystical like a phoenix, winged-elephant, or oversized bugs?

If you want to get technical, Cloud Chaser wizards are vigilantes. Guilds are considered illegal establishments, but they still take on jobs to help better Pandora outside of the law. As for mercenaries and bounty hunters; I'd have to talk to the other GM's because we won't really want any lone wolf characters unless we get a good turnout of characters for Cloud Chasers and the Librarium.

@Leslie Hall No worries, dude(tte). Just asking for brainstorming's sake.

As for the bounty hunters and mercs, I was thinking of them more for the plot than actual roles for RPers to take on. Sorry for the misunderstanding!

On another note; I have my PC back again. I wasn't able to use it because I was keeping my puppy's crate in my room; hence I had no space. But we've moved his crate outside where he seems to be much happier, so now I can use my PC again! My headsets not working is the only thing... I need my music :(

Sweet. Other questions/suggestions? Hmmm. Since we're technically doing "pirates", maybe have extremely powerful mage/pirates that work under the Librarium, like the Warlords from One Piece. In exchange for their pseudofreedom and immunity from the law, they do some of Librarium's dirty work and share a portion of their wealth.

Another would be the use of magical artifacts? Basically weapons, relics, or objects just imbued with magic? I was planning to make use of a character that would have one instead of a type of magic.

Magical Artifacts are going to be more of a thing, especially for members of the Librarium. It's mentioned that there is a sub-section within known as the Librarians. They're responsible for the creation and distribution of Magical Weapons/Tools to the Soldiers. It's possible that Pirates steal these weapons from the soldiers.

Also, I will bring up Pirates working under the Librarium. It's entirely possible.

But you're not a Pirate, if you have a Letter of Marque from the government saying you can legally seize other ships and their contents. You're a Privateer~

Are wyverns and such going to be more common as well? I'm digging the idea of an aerial cavalry~

Looks like I've finally made my choice... I'll be participating! So here's a character of mine for Cloud Chasers. I'll be making one for Decretius Librarium and maybe one for the Sky Pirates. Permission for a Slayer magic type for my DL character?

I'm interested and would like to reserve a spot for slayer, if that is alright.

@Lmpkio Glad to hear you'll be with us! I had a skim over the CS, but I'm gonna have to ask you to hold onto it. We're not really accepting anything just yet while we get everything sorted for the roleplay. It's mostly just because things might change around and you may want to edit your character.

Now to answer both you and @Neurovoid; I won't be reserving any spots right now. This includes S Class spots. Mostly because it'll all depend on your sheets, not a first come first serve basis. Though I'm sure if you express interest in a role, your fellow rpers will respectfully give you a chance to submit a character for it.

Another thing regarding slayers. For plot reasons (lame excuse, I know), only Devil Slayers exist in Pandora. They are incredibly rare; and not Fairy Tail's definition of rare where they seem to run into a Slayer wherever they go. I'm talking if your character is a Slayer, odds are they have never seen and will probably never see another Slayer in their lifetime (Aside from the other person who has one).

There are also some limitations on the Devil Slayer magic that @Indra can go through because they're better at explaining it than I am.
