Fairy Tail is a show primarily focused around Mages that band together into Guilds, following their exploits. Very little prior knowledge of Fairy Tail is needed to join, but it would help to familiarise yourself with the fundamentals; such as how Magic works in the show's universe. Time Period
Set in the year X1281, roughly 400 years after the series. Modern with futuristic elements (Steampunk).
Setting
Cloud Chasers takes place on the continent of Pandora, a mystical place located across the world from Fiore. Pandora is primarily filled with overgrown swamp lands, rivers and rain forests. However this only constitutes for about two thirds of Pandora. The rest of the continent can be found in the form of floating islands which vary in size from meager to colossal. Not counting the swamp-dwelling natives, the majority of Pandora's population of 26 Million resides on the islands. The lands below are treacherous, filled with all manner of deadly beasts that no man could survive against.
Most of the islands are dedicated to small farming communities, but the three largest islands are in direct control by the Decretius Librarium; the reigning government of Pandora. Technological behemoths of steam, metal and magic; the three Capitals of Haven, Judea and Keter are the most populated areas in the continent. Relying heavily on resources from imports and the local farming villages, the Librarium run Capitals are considered by many labourers to be leeches upon the hard working, smaller communities of Pandora. As a result, islands that are not supervised by the Librarium tend to have a much poorer standard of living than the larger, more fruitful islands or the Capitals.
Due to Pandora's unorthodox landscape, the main form of travel between the islands is Skyship. There are many different make and models of Skyships, from personal use to freight ships for transporting large amounts of cargo. In the Capitals, travel by trains and cars is also available. Larger islands that are close to each other may also have Sky Trains interconnecting them for easier trading.

Though to some, Magic was considered more than just a tool in which we made our lives more convenient. To some, Magic was an art and they dedicated their lives to it's practice. As you well know, these are the Wizards. Banding together into Magical Guilds, the Wizards took on jobs for their local communities all while honing their skills as Mages. Though it would not last.
160 years ago, the Decretius Librarium rose to power. The once secular nation of Pandora fell into the hands of the Librarium, religious zealots who controlled through distilling fear in their people. With their rule, the Librarium greatly restricted who could have access to Magic; reserving it only for influential individuals within the Librarium and soldiers. Outraged, the Wizards protested this new law but were met with persecution. The Librarium soldiers were equipped with only the finest Magical Weapons and tools, wielding knowledge of greater sorceries that had been taught to them by the Librarians; a powerful sub-section within the Librarium's military.
Outnumbered and outgunned, the citizens of Pandora were forced to stop the practicing of Magic. Though some would not give in so easily. Banded together by a new sense of comradeship and passion; the brave souls took to the skies. Never staying too long in one place, travelling between the Islands helping the residents of Pandora fight the oppression of the Librarium. The wizards united together to create a new Guild; a place where no wizard would ever be afraid to grow with magic. And thus, the first Sky Pirates were born; blessing their new Guild Airship as the Cloud Chaser.

Your Place in the Story
You will play as either a member of the Sky Pirate Guild, Cloud Chasers, or a soldier of the Decretius Librarium. While there will be an over arching plot revolving around the tension between the reigning government and the rebellious Pirates, the main focus of the Roleplay will be within the stories we create between our characters. More information is to come with the OOC.

✠ As the GM, I have the final say in everything. My Co-GM's also hold this right. This does not mean I am not willing to discuss things with you; just know that I have the right to to end any discussion regarding the roleplay whenever I deem necessary.
✠ If you and another player have issues, take it to a PM. I'm no one's Doctor Phil here, so unless you have serious concerns please keep me out of any disagreements you may have with someone else.
✠ This will be a High Casual Level Rp. I expect posts to have proper spelling and grammar, with some leniency. Length isn't really an issue for me; quality over quantity and what not. However, your posts must not stagnate the RP. You need to make sure that your posts are actively advancing the RP in some way.
✠ If you express interest here and then go to create a character for the Roleplay, I expect consistency. I'm not going to say you need to post X times a week, because that's unrealistic and we all know that sometimes life gets complicated. Just please keep in touch on a regular basis if you can't post for whatever reason. If you need to take an absence for an extended period of time, please let me know and we'll make accommodations for you and your characters.

I'm Leslie Hall. Roleplayer, friend, dog fanatic. I've been around with varying degrees of consistency over the last few years while I've been getting used to becoming an adult and everything that comes with that. I'm now in a comfortable place where I feel I can balance everything well enough to start a roleplay.
I really love Fairy Tail roleplays. As for the actual show, I don't think it's very good. Not a big fan. It has a very great premise for Rping though, and it's fundamentals can be used in a variety of different settings (Which is what I've done here with Cloud Chasers). I'm a big fan of letting people be as creative as possible with their characters and I feel Fairy Tail is a good universe for that. You can pretty much get away with anything it's great.

PLEASE DO! Not just because I love hearing them, but also because I really haven't thought about this story that far ahead yet and if I don't get ideas the anxiety will devour me whole. Kidding aside, this story is about YOUR characters. You should have a say in how it unfolds.
So when can we expect an OOC?
Alright so bare with me on this one. I can't give you an exact date right now because it all depends on interest. Also, Cloud Chasers is a lot different from a regular Fairy Tail Roleplay. The setting is so different it may as well be a different show. So in the OP of the OOC, I need to write up quite a bit of information regarding Pandora and especially the Decretius Librarium. So we may be waiting a week or two for the OOC to come up. I do apologise that it won't be coming up as fast as you might hope, but I will do my best to get it all done as quickly as possible.
