Role & Kingdom: Maella is a traveler in the kingdom of Bellvar.

Skill and/or Weapon: Years living in an unforgiving desert has left Maella rather scrappy, she knows how to get things done that need to get done. Whether it's a hasty sewing repair on a torn tarp or catching and preparing a wiley desert snake for dinner, she's ready for it. As for conversation, she's not too skilled in that department but she's definitely enthusiastic. Ideal weapons are generally anything sharp, but she has her trusty dagger with her at all times and knows her way around a spear the best.

Personality: Her body may have become hardened from the harsh weather and tough battle for survival, but her spirits definitely haven't! She's an excitable one who likes company even more than a good meal but sometimes finds her that incessant chatter sent yet another person walking to the other side of the fire! She's always eager to quiz a new face on absolutely everywhere they've been in the world, ready for a chance to vicariously expand her horizon even further. In crises is the only time she seems to get serious and will do what she can to tend to them. She'll put up with most any kind of attitude, anyone not so friendly and will absorb any abuse they throw at her without batting an eye. She doesn't care what kind of person they are, she wants to learn from them and talk to them.

Biography: Maella has always had a desire to travel, having been walking since she could stand. Her family could hardly keep up with her whenever she wanted to go places and she's was always going places. She was relentlessly curious about absolutely everything and chattered off like a half-crazed desert bird to anyone nearby. Between her parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles and even older siblings, they somehow managed to keep her within the bounds of their small desert oasis. They were a wealthy, well-knit family that had control over their town and all its people, the best situation anyone could find within the desertlands that wasn't a damn castle itself. Still, that wasn't the life she wished to lead and so stole herself away from it all and joined a caravan in desperate search of new lands and new faces.

Appearance: Maella has a well weathered body, muscular merely from the struggle for survival and many days walking against the resistance of hot sand. Her skin is golden beneath the glare of the sun, her eyes similar in hue. She is short in stature 4'11'' making her a bit stocky, but she can still get any job done with ease. Her hair is a vibrant red, easy to be picked out of a crowd, and cut haphazardly to uneven lengths. Her hair is not her main focus, she prefers to waste her vanity away on her clothing. She likes to wear bright colors in her apparel and holds a weakness for fine cloth, often spending more than she knows she should to get it. Her ears are decorated with jewels and her smile is always as precious and warm.

Name: Caden Sal

Age: 20

Role & Kingdom: Caden is a bodyguard for the ambassadors of Lutaires.

Skill and/or Weapon: Caden has been hardened into nothing more than a fighting machine through years of training and hardship. He lives for battle, for the adrenaline and the victory of it and is very good at it. He can take a hit, roll with it and return it with ease, his body strong and fast. He also a bit of a incubus (metaphorically speaking), feeding off of others and craving for one partner after the next to satiate him. To do this, he has gotten pretty good at convincing people to relent to his desires. In terms off weapons, unlike his nation's archery proficiency, he is a sword kind of man. Though he could excel at pretty much anything you put into his grasp.

Personality: While interpersonal connections seem to be his main focus beyond fighting, he doesn't really seem to care much for other people. Conversations are quick to bore him if they have no clear benefit towards him and emotions are quick to repel him. He's an instinctual kind of guy and anything more than that is nothing that he wants. He can be rude, crude and grumpy around strangers or people he has no interest in, while those he's closer to he's more vaguely more pleasant with a teasing nature and sly grins. His own personal demons he suppresses behind as many walls as he can put up and if you dare try and probe at them, his reaction is more likely to be violent than not.

Biography: While Caden may have been born in Lutaires and thus is a full Lutairian citizen, his mother was a refugee from Bellvar, seeking the comfortable living of the more habitable kingdom. Still, his skin showed his true heritage and while the general belief of the kingdom was a more accepting one, the individual did not always match up with that. Dealing with prejudice and cruelty, Caden rose up against it with biting defiance and started more fights than were ever started against him. He spent his young years literally battling his way for his mother's and his survival until she knew that they couldn't sustain such a life. So she took the two of them to the castle and begged for them to give them a job somehow, somewhere, anywhere. They recognized the potential that the scrappy young man showed, but not the aging woman and so they accepted Caden and cast out his mother, separating them. From then on, Caden worked and worked any job at the castle that was needed, mostly manual labor. He grew muscles and strength and eventually made his way into training to become a protector of the castle and its people. This is where he honed his skills and put his anger and desire to fight to good use until one day he was requested to help escort important ambassadors to Hiertania.

Appearance: (Please ignore the image above in terms of skin color as Caden is dark skinned, but I couldn't find any image that matched up with my ideas for general appearance and skin color.) While Caden may be from the kingdom of Lutaires, it is obvious at one glance that he does not match the common image set forth for a Lutairian in one specific aspect. His skin is much darker than that of his surrounding people and he is rougher and meaner looking than most. His muscles are hardened and well developed, though he remains nimble and quick on his feet. On close inspection (saved only for lovers) one can see a multitude of scars littering his body. His hair is a sandy blonde and his eyes a sharp cinnamon.

Extra: Caden has never seen his mother since the last time they were separated at age 14. He's also probably had like three illegitimate kids by now, what a trollop.
