@KOgamingI personally love the idea of pendulum heck I wanna play Yuya's deck in this but well i already have a character and spoiler... Rumi's close friend is a Pendulum user and i was planning on him joining the academy like 1 month later in IC but well i don't know if i can have a second character (I am planning on you taking control of him if i can't)
@KOgaming For future reference, if you are apart of a house can you only use the extra deck the houses specializes in or can it be varied so long as the majority is within the house specialized. (for example since blue eyes have both synchro and fusion monsters in their archetype)
The other summoning methods can definitely be used by those outside their houses, as in there's no one stopping you from using them. The only problem of course would be mastery of the summoning method as well as importance in your deck. If your deck uses Instant Fusion to bring out Rare Fish, that doesn't automatically mean you're in the fusion house, especially if you're just using it to get out a rank 4. Likewise, a rank 4 toolbox doesn't necessarily mean you're in the Utopia House especially if the focus of your deck isn't Xyz. Which I guess was an error of judgement of mine's when I first looked at Fuubi's deck- though he's not really going into anything else- so I guess it's okay.
I like how they've allowed Monster Mash decks to actually work, with Magicians and Majespecters playing alongside Odd-eyes and PePe in one big gooey mess of a deck. They've also arrived just as Konami started taking a leaf from how Blizzard designs their game balance; Make something broken and give it to different things every six months. They've learned the right lesson from DRuler format, with Shaddolls and Nekroz, PePe, Kozmo, Monarchs and ABCs and even Zoodiacs being all broken for different reasons, having their moment in the sun and becoming irrelevant in turn. Putting pendulums in the extra deck was the right kind of nerf to the graveyard-as-a-second-hand problem the game has, and the mechanic was clearly designed with it in mind more then anything else they've thought up since.
That being said, fuck the pendulum zone. Just play it in the backrow like anything else and it would have been fine. We've had artifacts and Crystal beasts for years, it would have been fine to play monsters as spells and traps for an inherant bonus. That and the fact that having their own zone was the foot in the door that allowed Wavering Eyes to be a thing, and that card can burn in hell.
I have a deck in mind that uses pendulums, but considering the deck aims for a second turn exodia victory and only attempts to start spamming the board when it can't do that... it might not be best for this RP.
the big thing I wanted to see was themed decks
Are we allowed to have multiple decks on the same character? If so, does every deck the character uses have to include their Solar Legacy? I have an extremely bizarre deck in mind separate from the one above.
Edit: On that note, are custom card restrictions on a per-character basis, per-deck basis, or per-RPer basis?

Is it igknights or metalfoes? Because those decks are playable without Exodia. I'm not even opposed to alternative win conditions as long as it's not a deck that doesn't include opponent interaction.

You can have multiple decks. The Solar Legacy includes itself whether the player wants it there or not.
Sorry for the delay, I work for the US gov and had to do a lot with the Inauguration. That's why I was so busy and having serious trouble even thinking of a post. So, anything change much? Any good place I could situate my char?

Not much has actually happened. We've just moved on to the next day, and there is now a Battle Royale event. We can duel as many people as we want, but we only have 8000 LP each for the entire event, and it will not reset between Duels.
@KOgaming That reminds me. I been playing YGO pro alot when I got the free time. Since I really haven't played too much or showed my deck. Could I change it?

Awesome. I can actually get right into the action!

Neither actually. It's just a Heart of the Exodia deck with a sizeable amount of pendulums/dinosaurs and Evolzars in the extra deck. It tries to get out Heart of the Underdog as soon as possible, (using beatsticks or early Evolzars to protect itself) draw most of if not the entire deck, then win on its second turn from Exodia. Failing that, (which isn't all that common honestly) it can use all the cards it drew to XYZ summon three Evolzars, (which by itself could be enough to win the game when players have only 4000 lifepoints) and try again next turn, probably with two Hearts this time.
It's really quite an all-or-nothing deck, but it's also kind of funny that it unironically uses the card "Two-Headed King Rex".

Time to rethink my existence.
The deck I had originally planned on was frankensteined together from two different decks that work vaguely well together, but I think I should separate them, considering that they have different goals in mind and end up bloating the deck, even when all cards are at 1-2 quantity.
So, how about this:
Neraka Lotus Rank 1 DARK Xyz Plant Effect monster 0 ATK / 0 DEF 2 level 1 monsters Once per turn, during your end phase, if you control a level 2 or lower monster on your side of the field, you can special summon this monster from your graveyard. While this card is face-up on the field, level 3 or lower monsters on your side of the field cannot be targeted for attacks. When this card is destroyed, destroy all level 4 or lower monsters in attack position, and if any of your opponent's monsters are destroyed, take 500 damage. During your standby phase, you can tribute this card and send one other monster on your side of the field to the graveyard to return one card on each side of the field to their respective owners' hands.
Just asking just in case in OOC since Scar and I are doing a collab... is anyone planning on interrupting the Duel? (because collab's lack the space for interruptions)
Name: Hattori Minoru Sex: F Age: 17 House: Odd-Eyes House
Duel Disk: Looks like a big rolled up scroll and produces green fields. A short retractable blade can extend outwards from the distal end. The proximal end houses a secondary holographic projector.
Personality: Personable but predatory.
History: A trainee Iga ninja and duel disk technician from the Aichi prefecture out to complete her 100-man trial and be acknowledged by her clan. Since killing 100 people and getting away with it in modern Japan is quite difficult so modern shinobi have switched to duel monsters. As such Minoru is trained in the Iga clan's Ambush Duel style which hybridizes ninja techniques and action dueling. She has infiltrated Saotome Duel Institute to test her mettle against the students and complete her trial.
She also has a friendly rivalry with a Koga trainee named Fujita Shun.
Wish: The fall of the Japanese government and a return to the warring states era.
Deck:
Solar Legacy Yosenju Aman Level 4 Wind Beast-Warrior 0070/0051 Effect: When this monster is destroyed by battle, it's controller takes 4000 damage. This effect cannot be negated. If this monster is sent to the graveyard, return it to its owner's hand.
Preparations For An Ambush Action Field Magic Activate only if your opponent refuses a duel: Play this field; initiate a duel with your opponent. If you do, you automatically receive the first turn and skip your opponent's first turn. You can use Action Cards, but you can only have 1 Action Card in your hand. This card does not count as being part of your deck for the purposes of deck construction.

Fairly certain you can't make an Action Field spell.
The hell are those stats on Yosenju Aman?
Great Kite of Ninja can't be used in your deck cuz no suitable targets.
I'm fairly certain you are either trolling or don't know the first thing about how this Yugioh rp works. I recommend talking to some of the others and getting some advice if it's the latter; if it's the former, well.... I'm sure you already know.
Your character's backstory is enjoyably silly and her duel disk design is fun.
Though Scarifar does bring up a good point saying that action fields don't go in the deck. They're really more an effect of Action Duels, which I am probably going to include in this RP at some point.
Yosenju also do way more normal summoning than anything else, but so far you've got 4 more pendulum monsters than anyone else. Not to mention, the houses are for people who wish to learn/master the summoning method, so maybe in the future, you could have more pendulum yosenjus other than just the gates.
Banish 1 "Tyrant Dragon" Monster you control, Special Summon a "Tyrant Dragon" Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck. When this Card leaves the field, send the equipped card to the graveyard, and return the Card banished by this card to the field. If this Card would leave the field from an opponent's card effect, you can destroy 1 other Equip Spell you control to negate that card's effect, and if you do, destroy it.
Crushing Destruction of Tyrant Dragon Normal Spell
You can only activate this card if you control a face-up "Tyrant Dragon" Monster. Target 1 Card on the field, destroy it. If that Card was a trap card, inflict damage equal to the DEF of a target "Tyrant Dragon" Monster you control. You may discard this Card to Special Summon a "Tyrant Dragon" Monster from your hand.
Wingbeat of Tyrant Dragon Quick Play

Overwhelming Presence of Tyrant Dragon Counter
Activate only if you control a face-up "Tyrant Dragon" Monster. Negate the activation of a Trap Card or an Effect Monster's effect. If this card is in the graveyard while you control a face-up "Tyrant Dragon" monster that was Tribute Summoned, you may banish this card to negate the activation of a Trap Card or an Effect Monster's effect.
Destructive Armored Tyrant Dragon Level 12 Fire Effect Fusion Dragon-Type

Then inflict damage equal to half that Monster's attack, but you cannot conduct your battle phase the turn you activate this effect. During either player's turn, you can banish this Card from the graveyard. If you do, "Tyrant Dragon" Monster(s) you control cannot be destroyed by battle or by card effect this turn.

This card can only be Tributed for the Tribute Summon of a Dragon-Type monster.
2500/2900
These are some of the cards I've been working on. It won't be the last of em either but this will likely be the bulk of the support. (A few of the spell/trap cards are remodeled from generic dragon spell/traps with Tyrant Dragon related Artwork that exist, I.E. Wingbeat of Giant Dragon, Overwhelm, and Stamping Destruction.)
