Set between the 20's and 30's, the basis of this rp will be based around a world where Mafia's run rampant in the streets. However, there will also be an element of superpowers and mutants within the RP, which was part of the reason as to why the Mafia's gained so much control over the city. Different parts of the city will be owned by different gangs, and all members will be playing one of the gangs. The East Canaglia Gang. There will also be the North Scharole Highrollers, The West Barones and the South Cosa Nostra. Our goal will be to use our combination of powers to gain control of the rest of the city and either subjugate or eliminate the other three gangs.

I understand if this is a bad sort of explanation, but if people are interested, then awesome! Once we get some people then I will create CS'es for people to fill out and judged while I make an OOC.

Is it possible that i could run a mafia myself, being an intelligent super? I kinda want to roll play having to manage a group of men.

This is one of the details I was going to add, but I'll put it up now.

The technology level will be roughly between the 20's to 60's, however there are some new technological advancements as answers to the superpower crime wave sweeping the city. Police are being armed with anti-power equipment such as power neutralizing darts that will temporarily weaken 'supers'. Another example would be a displacement charge that will slow down speedster 'supers'. There will be more in depth, but still expect tommy guns, Lincoln continentals and two way radios for communication.

Just putting this out there; but if it were in the story that these powers could be dampened by a certain field, like a strong electrical field like in a 1920s police tazer, then maybe the poweres themselves arise from our bodies use of a certain field that we tap into. And different DNA results in different adaptations from the field. Such as super speed in one case resulting from fast twitch muscle tapping into the field, and super intellegence resulting from either gray or white matter that can tap into the field. We could even say that theres a special organelle inside the cells of supers, such as an adapted mitochondria... we'd still need to think of a name for it. How about Asclepichondria after the son of Appolo and god of medicine Asclepius.

Cool idea. When I originally thought of this concept, I was thinking it was early evolution for the select few like the mutants from X-Men however, I am open to all ideas for the RP as I think it is very open for development
