Is it alright to edit my semblance? I have been watching more RWBY and I've figured I could have a more fitting semblance to my present one. Due to Albretch already having his fair share of mentoring before enrolling in Vale Academy, his control over his aura is well trained. Can I have a semblance that revolves around light? Meaning, his body can be coated in light. Whilst this is in effect, Albretch can move at a superior speed. This will make him more effective in battle due to his equipment being quite hefty, though it tires him quickly if used for prolonged periods. Albretch can also control light that consists of an orb shape, with it he can temporarily blind enemies by levitating the light towards their line of sight or around the battlefield in an attempt of confusion. Due to the fact that light is not a physical element, he can not use it as an offensive tool. Although, anything light can provide him, he'll use to his advantage. The cons of his semblance is that his aura can only produce a limited amount of light. If he decides to use his semblance to move at a great speed, it will use all of the limited light to do so. Therefore, he can not blind enemies and then suddenly flash towards them to finish the job, nor can he create a tidal wave of light, but he can produce enough light to fill a school bus.

Why does he go faster when coated in light?

His aura presents itself as a glowing white light. When his body is coated in this light, it means he is channeling his aura to boost his speed in combat. Think of it as a power-up. I saw a character on RWBY on roller skates that had a rainbow trailing from behind her. Her speed seemed to be unusually fast for being on roller skates. That's why I suggested the idea.

Neon Katt's speed didn't seem to be enhanced to unusual levels, given that skates are capable of moving at rather high speeds. However, having both the speedup and the light orb control seems like having separate semblances rather than connected powers.
