Cyren crawled along the ground, his body shifting into the position where one would stalk their prey. Nikko had done it earlier. "First, you must balance your weight. If you make a heavy footfall, your prey can hear you like a thundering antelope."

Kalina laughed and ran off after him as fast as she could. She was close to matching his speed and she knew he would have to slow down at some point. "You cant out run me." She said as she managed to pick up the speed and tag him with her paw on his shoulder.

Nikko nodded his head and mirrored his movements almost perfectly. He did everything he could not to make a single sound, even with the silent breaths he would take. He was really happy that someone could teach him what he would love to do for the rest of his life.

Serina looked at him before she nodded and felt stronger so she slowly stood up and checked her wound which seemed to have Sealed up. "So which Pride are you a member of? I only know we call those that live in the light lands Dovaskey" she asked him softly now that she was eye level with him. Her eyes scanning him over.

"Oh yeah?" Gumu teased with a playful grin as he turned around to chase her once he was tagged. "I'll get you."

Roho was hesitant at first, knowing he wasn't supposed to tell random lions where he lived. He looked around to make sure Crimson hadn't come back yet. He then turned to her. "I'll tell you, but just don't let my trainer know I said anything." He then walked closer to her and leaned in her ear. "Eastern."

Kalina laughed and ran as fast as she could away from Gumu to make it more of a challenge. She loved playing with other cubs and Gumu was so nice to her.

"When you leap, you want to aim for the middle if it has no danger there. Never go too high..or you can get hurt badly. Low, and you can be stomped if it is bigger."

Cyren then demonstrated this..by leaping into the air. Pushing off with his legs, he knocked right into Artemis, knocking her off the rock and pinning her.

Nikko laughed when he saw Cyren jump up and pin his mom. He looked for something to pounce at like he said to and he saw a butterfly in the air. He jumped up high enough to catch it but did as Cyren told him.

Artemis laughed blushing when Cyren pinned her to the ground. "I never know what to expect when you are around." She said laughing and noticed Nikko was not paying attention. She softly brushed her head against his blushing as she looked up at him smiling.

Gumu caught up to her and pawed her shoulder. "Tag." He pretended to run away from her again before stopping at a few flowers. Making sure she hadn't caught up to him yet, he picked one out before putting under his paw.


After his drink, Shupavu began walking back to the rock. He stopped for a moment when he saw Gumu and Kalina playing together. He smiled as he watched them. Hmm. He would have to talk with her mother, but he wanted to betroth the two. He then left to go find Artemis in order to get her thought on this.

Kalina laughed when he tagged her and she picked up speed to try to catch him again. She smiled seeing that he had stopped and she slid to a stop in front of him. "Whats up?" She asked tilting her head.

Nikko looked over through the grass seeing the King heading there way. He runs up to him smiling. "Hello King." He said bowing down. When Artemis heard Nikko say who was there, she playfully pushed off Cyren and hopped back on top of the rock winking at Cyren so Shupavu would not see her. She liked Cyren but she did not want to announce it just yet since she just got there.

Cyren was definitely blushing now, to say the least. He was happy that Artemis was so at ease somewhat with him. As she pushed him off, he gave her a playful glare before calming himself as he turned to Shupavu, dipping his head. The leader of his pride might be surprised to hear that Cyren's voice..

Was not actually shaky anymore. It was the voice of a lion in use, slightly deep, almost rough around the edges.

Gumu smiled as he moved his paw to reveal his gift to her. "Look." He then lifted the flower and put it on her head. "Hope you like it." It was strange for him to be showing affection at such a young age, but somehow he didn't care.


Shupavu looked at her. "I came to ask a simple favor. It's about my son and Kalina." He took a deep breath before finishing. "I saw them playing together and thought maybe..." He looked up at her not sure how she would respond to this. "....we could betroth them." He looked over to make sure Kalina's brother didn't hear anything since he was too young to know what he was talking about. He then turned his attention back to Artemis. He turned to Cyren. "How's the training going?"

Cyren nodded lightly. "It is going well. Nikko is a fast learner...he was already taught the basics by a great hunter. I can only further him now." He knew why Shupavu wanted this for his son...He would want his cub to be happy too. If he had cubs. Nikko was the closest he had ever had to a cub, somewhat.

Kalina smiled as she felt like butterflies were in her chest. She blushed and bowed her head a little. "Its really pretty." She said smiling as she looked back up at Gumu. She was not sure what this feeling was...but it felt natural.

Artemis took a deep breath to try not to overreact. It was a difficult decision to plan out your cubs life even when she is so young as it is. She looked back up at Shupavu and bowed her head before speaking. "I would love it if our children would be betrothed. But...if something were to happen where they start to push apart we can still call it off. If they look miserable together when they are older, I don't want them to be forced into the marriage." She said hoping he would understand her concern. "If they are best friends from here on out, then I would love them to be married some day." She said hoping it would not be too much to ask.

"Well if my theory's correct, I think they'll get along just fine." Shupavu said to the lioness. "And I'm willing to let them fall in love, if they do, on their own accord." He looked at her and smiled. "The great kings work in mysterious ways." He then turned to Cyren again. "Well, looks like he'll be taking your place in no time." He teased him a bit on that one.


"What else do you like to do? Besides tag of course?" Gumu tilted his head, hoping to do more than just tagging and wrestling.

Cyren looked at Artemis too,sideways, as Shupavu said the kings worked in mysterious ways. He felt it was right...

He had just met Artemis, and yet he felt for her.

It took him a minute to answer Shupavu, both because of laughter, and then because he realized his leader had spoken. "If he gets to that point, I'll just be able to guard you more." Cyren pointed out, poking fun at him in return.

Kalina smiled at Gumu. "Well I like to explore." She said looking around. "I also like chasing flying bugs and trying to catch them. It can be hard if they are fast." She said laughing. "What do you like to do?" She asked as she wrapped her tail around her legs softly.

Artemis took another small breath as he reassured her that he would agree to the terms. "I can see them being together in the future too. I never would have thought my daughter would one day be a queen...but I could not be happier for her." She said looking back at Cyren. "And I know her brother Nikko would make a great guard. He has even tried to protect me when we were on our own." She said smiling at Cyren and the King.

Shupavu smiled at Artemis. "By the way I believe he actually wants Nikko as his guard." He purposely spoke louder on this one so her son could hear it. "I heard him say so when I was walking with him this morning(in rp)."


Gumu's tail swished back and forth happily. "You like to chase bugs?" He asked in both surprise and excitement. It was like he just found something in common with her. "What about small reptiles?"

Cyren smiled back at Artemis, before he looked at Shupavu. "Now I have to teach him how to guard too..I have no problem with that." He said, as he moved to scoop Nikko up and set him on his back. "I found a soldier right here. He'll make a great Hunter and Guard in his own right."

Artemis smiled brightly as Nikko's ears perked up and ran over. "He does?" He said excitedly. Even at a young age he knew what an honor it was to be trusted with the safety of the king himself. "That would be amazing!" Nikko said jumping up with excitement. Artemis laughed and smiled at Nikko. "It will be a while from now you know that right?" She said playfully and Nikko laughed in response. She looked over at Cyren and smiled. "Looks like he may need quite a few lessons." She said smiling at him almost as if she forgot the King was there before looking back at the King.

Kalina laughed. "Yes I do. I have tried chasing lizards too. It is always fun and pushes me to get better at it." She said laughing as she smiled at Gumu. It felt like she had known Gumu all her life but she only knew him for two days. She could not understand why but it made her happy to be around him.

Shupavu looked down at Nikko. "He planned it himself." They were so young yet his son had already planned a bit of his future. He then looked back up to their mother and Cyren. "Welp, I guess it's settled then?"


Gumu couldn't believe his ears as he smiled at her. "You sound just like me. My favorite bugs to chase are butterflies and grasshoppers." He sat down as he looked at her. "What are yours?"
