A handful of humans are suddenly snatched from Earth in their sleep and deposited on … Earth. At least it looks like Earth. There is a Moon, Sun. The stars look familiar. There are just a few things missing - like people, cars, cities, pollution (of any sort). This is an Earth untouched by the hand of Man.
Setting
I will be departing from reality a bit - especially with regards to food. You see, this is supposed to be an Earth where Homo Sapiens didn’t evolve. Therefore, there would be no imported fruits, veggies, grains. Lot of animals would never be imported either. I am going to ignore those facts and have them exist.
There WILL be some sci fi involved as some species that went extinct (possibly because of Man) won’t have. Some may even evolve slightly.
More specifically the group will arrive on the beach of a bay in Northern Florida. (I was thinking of Destin, FL. The land isn’t the greatest for farming. Not a big horse area either. But the weather is mild year round. There is plenty of fishing, crabbing, floundering, small game … and few major predators. The point was to offer the humans a relatively safe place to restart life.
Characters
Characters should be age 18-25 and healthy. Selection here is not random. You were selected to restart the human race. In other words, no 98 pound weaklings. You should be at least modestly capable of fending for yourself. No, this doesn’t mean you need to be a survivalist. There is food aplenty if you have half a brain. No allergies, asthma, genetic flaws. Good senses (not dependent on glasses, deaf, etc). Note: It IS possible to have injuries, but they will be healed - even old ones.
Characters should be reasonably sociable. IE no mental disabilities. No psychopaths, etc.
All characters will speak the same language. (English, if it wasn't your primary language.)
While I am not looking for OP Mary Sue's, I am looking for interesting characters. Think Hollywood ... but leave the angst behind. This isn't some high school RP.
Gear
Realistically you should arrive in your birthday suit or PJ’s, but sticking to a PG-13 format, everyone will arrive in their usual (simple) street clothes. (Think shoes, pants, shirt. No purses, wallets, cell phones, jewelry, etc. In other words, your pockets are empty. Just your clothing to start. Clothing will appropriate to the Southeastern USA (where everyone will arrive). Note: There are no designer labels or size tags either. And the material sheds dirt very well. (It wasn't of Terran make and probably the only evidence you have of possible alien intervention. There may be other surprises.)
Posting
This is a Detailed/Advanced RP. That means I expect posts to be 3-5 good paragraphs.
Keep the quoting of others’ posts to a bare minimum. A single line or two at most for the sake of continuity, snip the rest. I usually prefer none.
I am looking for those who can post daily. If you are going to miss a day, try to give us a heads up.
