Magnus Bane

Magnus raised a brow as he was yelled at. "I was not calling you make. There are male witches and female warlocks I was guessing based on what you did" he looked at Callie as she suggested what he do and feigned hurt. "Me an ass??" a small smile was given to show he was joking and turned back to Alexis he lightly approached and took her hand before she could comment. He pulled a black powder from his pocket and gently put some on her finger. "Black pepper. Works like salt without the pain. Along with stopping bleeding" his eyes met hers and eyeliner rimmed eyes seemed to hold amusement.

"Side effect of age is a lot of people start to not like you" he then winked and released her hand before noticing how not well the witch child was. He went to him and sat cross legged in front of him. Magnus held out his hand. Magnus Bane. Druid and local old man" the tone held humor. He tilted his head at the charms. "Those are not harmful. I promise those aren't like venomous snakes"

Magnus was actually trying. After all, this was a kid. A very scared kid and that brought a different side of Magnus out.

Linus frowned at the hand, but took it with some hesitation. He would have told the man his own name, but his throat felt sealed shut. He kept his eye on the wooden charms, still fairly certain they were just a going to make him do as told by some means. Why else would he be dragged out by a stranger to an inn only inhabited by about 5 or 6 people, one of whom just happening to have magical items that will cure exactly the ailment he confessed to having? He was still pretty new to the idea of magic. He had always been aware of its existence, but it had never played a large role in his life and he didn't know how any of it worked. He wasn't even aware of his own magical potential.

He pulled his hand away from the man after a second or two, refusing to make eye contact or even avert his gaze from the floor. He remained silent, knowing that if he managed to speak at all it would only make him appear more fearful and pathetic. He also had to worry about remaining conscious; he knew that much. If he went into a seizure now, hell only knows where he'd be when he woke up. He didn't want to give a bunch of highly suspicious strangers another chance to take advantage of his vulnerability. He'd already allowed them to drag him out to a place where he was pretty sure nobody could hear him scream if he happened to be brutally murdered. That was a stupid idea and he didn't even remember why he'd decided to go with it at the time. But it was far too late to do anything about it now.

Abigale smiled at the boy, and patted Remuse, before gently giving the wolf-dog pup a nudge, to send him back a little bit, as it seemed liek the boy was a little nervous around him. Abigale, mature and wiser then her years would place her, seemed uuperturbed by the events that had been happening, nor didn't seem to care that she was in bright red pjs with blue and yellow dots over it, that her hair was mussed from sleep. She studied the boy, holding the charms out from him like they were posion, ignoring for now Magnus and Alexis. She tilted her head, curious about the boy. He seemed to have suffered a lot, in years perhaps just a little longer then her own. "Hi. I'm Abigale, but you can call me Abby" She said, in her sweet, child-like voice that nevertheless tried to sound adult. "Remus won't hurt you, nor bother you. He's a good dog" She said, still smiling.

Shifting, she took a timid step closer to the boy, reaching out to touch the amulets "These won't hurt...mmmm" A slightly peaceful expression fell over her, but a little trouble as well, "What...that...tastes like...the smoke from peoples cigarettes" She frowned, her hand slipping from the amulet that was for the nicotine addiction, grimacing, but after a moment, the mood amulet soothed her, and she smiled slightly. "They won't hurt you...Why don't you try them. You just have to touch them like I did" She said, her finger slipping from the amulet. She shifted back a step, putting her hands behind her back and rocking on her heels.

"Ms Lenson is a good person" the bright young child said, still smiling sweetly, "And this inn is great! My daddy needed to leave me here, cause...he thinks I'm too young. Please...give Callie a chance" She said, wanting to give the boy a hug, but feeling like that might be a mistake. She rocked slightly, Remus bumping his head against her leg. She giggled, watching the boy.

Things were getting out of control… between the pup that seemed intent on ripping open the doctor for even touching the young pink-haired girl she had recently nick-named ‘fairy-floss’, and the doctors daughter who seemed even more intent to defend her father to the death; both thanks to the new influence of the bites they had received, things were really beginning to get heated in the room that they had all been gathered up into… though the petty squabbles going on between Gage and Cassandra didn’t seem to bother her.

They were her friends… but right now, she just couldn’t seem to care any less.

Turning her body so that she was instead facing Connor, Kaylee took a gentle hold of his arm, her own arms wrapping around it in a hug as she brought it close against her chest, not even caring that she seemed to be giving off the vibe that she was ignoring all others around her. Her mind was stuck on him… on Connor- on her Connor. He was alright; and that was all that really mattered to her at this point in time… that was until the ever familiar, and still rather chilling sound of a roar ripped out through the room.

The roar of an alpha was almost impossible to ignore; and while she was able to resist just slightly thanks to her allegiance laying with another, Kaylee’s head dropped down, her body shifting against Connor’s as she pulled his arm closer into her. This was the alpha that had jumped into the fray… the alpha that they had fought alongside, rather than the one that they had been fighting against. Needless to say, she had most certainly made quite the impact in such a short amount of time…

“What the hell? What… That’s not funny..!”

That was the last thing they all needed… a challenge towards the alpha… Cassandra’s voice rang out loud and clear through the room, causing Kaylee to lift her head up, her gaze worried… a warning as she tried her best to meet with the girl’s eyes. Speaking back against the alpha had to be one of the stupidest things someone could do; especially when the alpha wasn’t well known to any of them. The pups seemed to understand that… well most of them… and her new friend’s outburst had her growing worry at an all-time high as she slid her hand down, taking a gentle hold of Connor’s before entwining her fingers with his.

“..Cassie…”

One moment the room had been filled with the sounds of her friend’s voices, and the next… Cowering into the warmth of Xerxes chest as the dominating roar filled the air around her, Syleste shut her eyes tightly- she didn’t want to hear this… she didn’t want to be a part of this… all it did was remind her of what they had all just been through. It was the same sound… the one that she had heard before she had been forced away from Gage… the same one she had heard before the searing pain had ripped through her body…

No… she didn’t want this… she-…

The room had gone from being so lively one moment, to completely dead the next, and the tension hanging clear in the room could be cut through with a knife. Clinging to the front of the doctor’s shirt tightly, she kept silent, her body curling even further against his as she tried her best to ignore the pain that was still bothering her somewhere within the back of her mind, though with the numbing feeling spreading through her system; something, somewhere was telling her that though it hurt… it just wasn’t worth making a fuss. Xerxes was going to take care of her, and she was going to be alright in the end.

Alexis Farreacher

Location: Cedar Ash Inn
Interacting with: Abigale Matson, Callie Lenson@Caits, Linus Teague-Winslet@Oliver, Samuel Douma@Queentze and Magnus Bane@BlackPanther

Alexis cautiously eyed Magnus as he treated her finger. It didn’t hurt that bad but then again, a wound is a wound. She was a bit on the fence about the whole black pepper thing, preferring actual medical treatment over whatever this apparent druid conjured up. But she wasn’t on the fence about just that. He stopped the flow of blood. So if she wanted to use her hawk skull again, she’d have to cut another finger. She kept silent though, especially when he turned to the young kid. Abigale noticed he smelled like cigarettes and the little girl was right.

Alexis wasn’t immediately concerned about the kid. She herself wasn’t feeling all that comfortable with Samuel and Magnus in the house. Especially now her protector, Callie, was out of sight and ears. She one hand around her hawk skull necklace, keeping an eye on everyone and everything. Linus was rather successful in demanding everyone’s attention around him. Even little Abigale, the girl Callie mentioned a few minutes ago, kept her focus on him. Together with her cute little pup. During the day, if she wasn’t surrounded by so many new things, she might actually have squealed at the sight of the pup. Alexis loved cats, no doubt about that. But who could resist a little pup like that? Asside from that she’d probably feel bad for Linus as well. But right now, being still rather tense, she could only think of how she wanted a cig herself. Even though she didn’t smoke, she heard it calmed the nerves.

But now that everyone was focusing on the ill kid, Alexis saw her chance. She might have been a little foolish when it came to magic, as demonstrated by berating Magnus for calling her a warlock, but she wasn’t stupid. Callie went in and out of her kitchen. Constantly. She went in and came back with charms. Charms that, after a quick study, felt an awful lot like her own bone pendant. She could only guess what other things Callie kept in her kitchen. So while everyone was rather distracted, she started to crawl towards the kitchen door. Still holding her bone pendant. Of course, something nagged at her. She felt like a thief or an intruder. Callie never said nobody was allowed in the kitchen. But then again, it felt wrong to move with stealth through someone else’s house. Slowly but surely she reached the doorway and peered in.

If the girl was able to touch the charms without falling into an incohesive trance, that was at least one point in favor of trusting these people. However, Linus wasn't sure about the rules of how magic worked. Maybe they'd have a different effect on him than they did on Abigale. Nevertheless, he was out of options here. There was little to no hope of escaping, and even if he managed to get out, where would he go? Juvy might actually be worse than being kidnapped.
Well, here goes nothing... He thought, hesitantly taking the charms in his hand.
The effect was quite immediate. His anxiety melted off in seconds, leaving him feeling nauseous and uncertain but considerably less panicky. The withdrawal effects also seemed to dissipate. He was pretty sure now that these were given to him to further coerce him into compliance with whatever they wanted from him, but he was hesitant to let go of the charms. He didn't really want to start crying or have a seizure or otherwise succumb to overwhelming panic.
Now that he was feeling a bit more secure, he decided to speak up. He cleared his throat, looking around the room at the few who still occupied it. "...I have some questions." He piped up in his typical Scottish accent, his voice sounding only a little shaky and quiet. "First of all, what do you want me here for? I mean, are you going to turn me in to the coppers or sell me to a drug cartel or something? Because in that case, I was doing okay on the streets..."

“What the hell? What… That’s not funny..!”

At the sound of the voice, Zoé snapped her head back around, her brilliant red eyes baring down into the girl’s as a warning. She knew Cassandra… knew she meant no harm with what she had said to her; but it was still a challenge… and one she couldn’t take lightly as an alpha. Curling her clawed fingers ever so slightly tighter over the end of the now empty bed, she kept her gaze locked with the girl; refusing to back down as she stood her ground as the dominant one in the room.

All other voices, gentle as they were, were pushed to the side as she stared her down, the two locked in some sort of competition, and it was clear to all who the winner of it was going to be. She was an alpha… the ‘head dog’ if you wanted to put it another way; and while she hated using her status over others, there were times when there honestly just wasn’t any other way.

“What is going on?!”

“..I said enough, Cassandra…” Her voice was soft… dangerous as she spoke, her bright red eyes never once leaving the girl, though she made it clear enough that she was speaking out to all in the room with them. She’d had enough… by God, she was going to need a drink or two, or five, or maybe even a keg later on; and by the looks of both Quinton and Xerxes, she wasn’t the only one. She’d been right when she had messaged Alder about wanting to work an extra shift. It was definitely going to be good money for him tonight.

Finally tearing her eyes away from the girl, she let her bright red iris’ glide through the room, coming to a stop on each and every individual, taking in their expressions… their emotions… their heartbeat… the male siren giving off a particularly terrified vibe, though she could hardly blame him. Before tonight, all but two in the room had known her as nothing more than a human; the cheerful, and happy woman who ran the local bar, and who employed a good majority of them… now here she stood with glowing eyes, fangs sharp enough to tear their throats out, and claws that could help her rip the door off a truck and bend bars without too much effort. She knew for a fact that all of this was strange… but it was also something they were all going to have to get used to now that they were a part of her world.

Majority of the pups had calmed down… Gage was no longer on the verge of lashing out, instead focused on the young siren held in Xerxes arms; much like his brother Aron seemed to be focusing on the young Cody sitting closely beside him- that was two… Turning her head slightly, Zoé’s eyes flicked across to the two standing close to where she was; the other two that had fought alongside herself and Quinton against the other alpha. The two that had been defending the group when they had first arrived. And with them; that made three. Great. Imprinted pups. This was going to make things a lot more interesting; though whether it was going to help or hinder them, she wasn’t sure yet.

“Everyone is here.”

The words were muffled into the background, though she still managed to hear them; acknowledging her beta’s words with a single though definitive nod of her head as she once more turned her eyes to the group in front of her. These teens were about to have their whole world shattered… everything they ever knew; everything they ever believed was about to be thrown upside down, and be torn apart in front of their very eyes.

“..everything you think you know about this world… forget it. Because there is a whole ‘nother side to life that you have never seen… one that we’ve tried so hard to keep you from finding out about…” Sighing softly, Zoé lifted her hand up, running her sharply clawed fingers back through her long dark locks in slight frustration, the thought of ‘what if she had gotten there sooner’ flashing across her mind causing a soft and almost inaudible angered growl to slip through her lips and into the air, “..I wasn’t quick enough to stop this; and now your all paying the price for my mistake… and for that you have my apologies…”

Shooting a quick glance behind her to make sure the door was closed, she turned her attention over to Quinton, passing him the bed she was still holding onto so that he could move it out the way as she stepped forward, making sure she had all eyes on her before she continued on, “All but two of you are healed, aren’t you..? No pain… no injuries… and you know deep down, that you feel better than you ever have before in your entire lives… A wolf attack doesn’t leave you like that. It leaves you like this.”

Hating herself for doing it, Zoé motioned to the two sirens, pointing out the fact that neither of them had reacted to the attack like the others had, “..but you all know that; and you also know that wolves, even while in packs, won’t attack large groups like this one did. Like I said before, the world you know is over, and it’s time you all knew the truth. Klamath Falls is what’s known as a beacon… one that draws the strange and unnatural to it. One that draws the supernatural to it. What attacked you tonight is known as a werewolf; an alpha. I’m one of them, and I know for a fact that some of your friends here aren’t what they seem to be either…”

"Cassie... please..."

She looked up at her father, eyes wide still, and she couldn't help but think he knew something, something he wasn't telling her. That maybe, he knew more of what was going on then he had ever told her. She saw...fear...worry...and always that need to protect her. When his jaw clenched, she knew then that he knew something, and she glanced away. Her father wasn't telling her something. He had always told her everything, hadn't he? She swallowed, tears pricking her eyes again.

"Cassie, I need you to listen to me - listen to Zoé...All of you. Just... listen. She's going to explain everything."

The red eyed, clawed woman was going to tell them everything. And her father wasn't. Maybe hadn't. Her entire life. She couldn't stop thinking about that, that maybe he hadn't been honest with her her entire life. She loved her father, more then anything. And it hurt knowing that maybe...he had kept things from her. If it was for her own protection, she knew he would. It didn't make her feel better though. Perhaps Miranda knew that she was upset, that she needed something. In anycase, she gave Miranda's hand a grateful squeeze, and let out a slow breath.

And despite her worries, doubts and fears about her father keeping things from her, she snuggled closer against him, feeling better merely from his presence, and from the presence of Miranda. She looked anywhere but at Zoe, her gaze meeting that of Kaylee's, and she shuddered. She broke eye contact, looking away.

“..Cassie…”

It was a warning, but for what, Cassie didn't know. She buried her face against her father's side, tears wanting to fall as she closed her eyes tightly. After a moment, she peeked out, gaze briefly looking with Zoe's once more. The red eyes haunted her, and she turned her face back into her fathers side, shaking slightly. As Zoe began to speak, Cassie wished she was anywhere else.

"..one that we’ve tried so hard to keep you from finding out about…”

Cassandra risked a peak back up at her father, her mind churning, she barely heard the rest of Zoe's words, although her mind seemed to process them and tuck them away for a further time, as it tried to work through somehting. Her father hadn't wanted to tell her any of this, to protect her. She stepped back, and looked up at him. She drew a deep breath, and tried to speak, stopped, and then away. "..It leaves you like this.” That distracted Cassie, and disturbed, she looked to Syleste, hating the fact that her friend was hurt. Syleste didn't deserve this, she was just so innocent and pure...

"...Werewolf..."

Her mind latched onto that word, and she froze. Werewolf? She glanced around at her friends, and very slowly unwound the bandage on her hand, her previously mangled hand, now smooth and flawless. Unconcerned-hell, her clothes were practically ruined anyway, she removed the bandage on her chest, the vicious claw marks there gone. All the numerous cuts, scraps and bruises had disappeared, and she looked up to her father, seeing the confirmation there, in his face, his previous words. She buried her face in his side again, and cried.

Remus, Abigale noted, had decided to follow the girl, who appeared to be crawling off in the direction Callie had gone. The wolf-dog pup trotted off happily to the girl, and licked her face once he got to her, nuzzling her and wagging his tail. Abigale giggled, before turning her attention back towards Linus, smiling encouragingly at him. She clapped her hands pleased when he tried the charms for himself, and resisted giving him a hug, sensing he wouldn't like that. She instead slipped her hands into the pockets of her jammies, and smiled wildly, showing the missing tooth she had lost only a few days ago. The happy, innocent and kind young girl wanted to put Linus at ease, the boy seemed to need it, he certainly seemed jittery.

She giggled at his questions, and with her eyes wide, she said "Callie won't turn you into the cops, nor sell you to anyone. She's a good person. Please" She said, her eyes almost like those of a begging puppy, her black hair slightly messy as she looked up at the boy, "Give her a chance. She's one of the bestest people I know" Her child-like, sing song voice tried to instill the necessary emotion to show how serioius she was being. "She just wants to help you, or she wouldn't have given you the charms. Besides, my Daddy wouldn't leave me with someone he didn't trust" That was said with child-like innocence, and smile gave Linus another smile.

She wanted the boy to be...alright. He seemed to have had a bad life so far, and Abigale knew what it was to be on the run constantly. She reached out, to poke the boy in the stomach, "Its okay, to trust someone" She said softly, "Its okay to need someone. its okay to not want to run anymore...why...would you give up this? Someone that can help you? My daddy kept me safe, and Callie will do the same" She said with wisdom beyond her years, "Running all the time is tiring. That's why i'm super-dooper glad that Daddy and me get to finally stay in one place!"

Callie

@Legion02

Callie gathered what she would need to first take down the security and then reset it, forming a magic circle with salt, she began to chant the magic she'd need to break her own spells, and then released the energy, the magic rippling through the house with a small pop to those that could use and sense magic. Satisfied, she began to remove the other enchanctments and protects that were around the house, this a ltitle more difficult as they weren't her own, but Callie knew the makers, had studied their auras, and tuned her own to theirs, making the job slightly easier. The hardest thing was the mountain ash, despite the fact that this didn't effect her, it did have a slight resistance to magic, but she soon had that sorted, and back where it belonged.

As she set about resetting the security, she glanced over her shoulder, seeing Alexis moving towards her private kitchen, the wolf-dog pup licking her face, she smiled to herself, and approached the girl. She supposed she couldn't blame her for the curiosity, especially after everything that had happened, and she said "Alexis, child, you need not fear. I appreciate curiosity, as it shows an interest to learn. I did not think to include you in what I was doing, but I imagine you have a lot of questions" She said, giving the girl a soft smile, "Well, lets retreat to my kitchen a moment, you can distract the pup with a treat or two, as I don't think he is going to leave you alone" She said with amusement.

"I do not want you to be afraid, my private ktichen is protected to keep my human guests out, so they cannot get involved in any magic that might be in there, in the works, as it would be dangerous to them" She explained, "you should feel free to enjoy it yourself" She said, stepping into the kitchen, she glanced around it. With wide counter space, she had a pantry to one side, a small fridge to the other, in between was a large gas stove, over the top of the stove hung various pots and pans, and all around the kitchen there were herbs and spices, things she'd need for her spells. It had a warm cozy feel to it, a circle etched in the floor, around the larger counter, and there were no wires, pipes or electrical objects within the circle, making it as secure as it could possibly be. She glanced to Alexis and smmiled.

"Actually, I can think of several reasons why someone would want to give me something like these." Linus retorted hastily, gesturing to the charms. "Everyone here is telling me that I'm safe and all, but not one person has stepped forward to explain why I'm here in the first place. I just kind of got snatched up and carted off without any explanation. Just saying, that kind of sounds like a kidnapping. He paused for breath, fidgeting with the charms to keep himself from slipping back into a panic. "And I mean, even if Callie just wants me to live with her and be her son or something, she's got a shit ton of paperwork to do. You know how many times I've been in state wards? Getting adopted is a legal process. You can't just pick up a convict kid on the street. Speaking of which, I've got a... uh... bad track record. I don't think normal life is for me, you know?"

In reality, the more he thought about leaving his life as a child delinquent and settling down, going to school for once and living a normal life, the more he realized how appealing it all seemed. Even though he'd been able to survive on the streets, he'd be lying if he said it wasn't harrowing to constantly live in fear of the world around him. Sleeping in odd alleyways out in the cold, wearing the same clothes for days, and having no access to medication and often no access to food... it was all a bit too much. It was clear he'd been under a lot of stress for a long time, and he wasn't even sure if it would be possible for him to recuperate.

He was snapped out of his thoughts when Abigale poked him in the stomach. He immediately tensed up, his hands clenching into fists to avoid instinctively slapping her hand away. "Don't touch me." He hissed through gritted teeth, taking a step back. As much as the charms kept him at a relatively low anxiety level (at least compared to where he was before), they didn't seem to affect his natural twitchy demeanor.

Connor

@Vicier

Connor shifted just slightly, so he could hug Kaylee with his free arm, the other she was holding like it was a life line in a storm, which didn't bother him. He looked down at her, a small smile on his face, that he didn't seem to be aware of, as he just looked at her. Yet something seemed to be wrong, noting that Kaylee seemed to be worried, following her gaze to the girl that had spoken out against the woman. The other teens in the room seemed to be taking the roar well, but that girl had, it seemed, not. He sighed softly, and stayed close to Kaylee, prefering that to anything else right then.

He barely heard the woman speak, finding it slightly irrelevant now that he had some understanding with what was going on, but he did listen. A beacon. Was that why he had been drawn here, to this? To Kaylee? It seemed...likely, but Connor didn't wanted to assume anything, as this was all a new area to him. Turning slightly, he once more engulfed Kaylee in his arms, wanting her presence there, needing it, to anchor him. It seemed that she was all that was stable, and...safe in his life right then.

There were obviously more supernatural creates in the world. Whatever the two teens that hadn't healed were...and what ever other ones were around. What that meant, Connor didn't truly know. How could the world not know of superantural beings in their midst? it was a terrifying thought. At least he now had answers on what had happened that night...Why he had survived and his father hadn't was a mystery he knew he might never solve.

So he held onto Kaylee, needing her as his world was once more turned inside out, wondering how many times one person could survive such things. To be ladeled, finally, for what he was...he closed his eyes. At least...At least he hadn't killed anyone, the previous month. He didn't think he could have lived with himself. Nothing was harmed, except perhaps his sleeping bag, and that was nothing. Bowing his head over Kaylee, he breathed in deeply, letting her scent wash over him. "So. If I'm a werewolf, that makes you a..." He thought a moment, then smiled "Weredingo"

Cody curled around Aron, knowing he was holding onto Aron, as if he was the only thing that made sense. Right then, he was. If nothing else made sense in this suddenly topsy turvy world, he was glad Aron was the one thing. It felt good, Aron's warmth, his scent, the...security that he felt. As Zoe began to speak, Cody glanced up, looking to the older woman. He bit his lip, and looked to Aron noting that his injuries did indeed appear to have healed, for which he was greatful. He didn't like seeing Aron hurt. Sighing softly, he shifted so he could watch the room, but still be close to Aron.

Werewolf?

Such things just did exist, did they? He shuddered slightly, glancing away from Zoe, He closed his eyes, and tried to let his mind process everything that had happened, everything Zoe was telling them. The attack...he didn't want to think about that, but he did, the red eyes of the beast that attacked them...the pain...the other wolves jumping in. Another pair of red eyes.He swallowed, his eyes opening, and meeting zoe's again, and glancing away again, to Aron. A safer place to rest his gaze.

Red, haunting eyes.

He let out a slow breath. Werewolves. Were they seriiously werewolves? He shifted enough to check his own injuries, noting the lack of pain in his ankle, the mere fact that his body didn't hurt, that in fact it did feel...great. Cody worked out, took care of himself, and generally felt good, but this was a whole new level. He swallowed. Werewolf. Turning back to Aron, Cody engulfed him in another hug. At least...he wouldn't be alone. His gaze went to Syleste, Sebastian and he faltered. He felt guilty that they weren't healing, worried for their health.

Magnus & Twins

Gage blinked and shook his head. No way. His hands curled around his head and he trembled for a second before getting a grip. He wasn't going to lose it damn it. He slowly unfurled and looked at Sebastian...the guy was standing awfully close to Syleste. He shook his head. whats wrong with me. he needed to hold her. He needed something...to anchor him. But...she needed help and Xeres was just standing there. Without much more thought he stood and strode to Syleste and Xeres. He gently took her from the guys arms and held her close. "I'm sorry about....me" his voice was soft and he turned more then ready to flee the room. He walked trying not to make her wounds worse.

Aron went wide eyed with everything Zoe was saying. What did it mean. His gaze went to Cody and he felt himself hold his boyfriend closer to himself. The world felt crazy and Cody was his anchor. However he managed to see gage starting to leave. He looked at Cody as he shifted to see the room and lightly kissed his cheek before getting out of the bed. "Gage....Gage don't run" both brothers had the tendency to run when things got out of hand. Aron knew that that was what Gage was planning now and that there was no way he could stop his brother when he was like this.

Magnus silently watched the kids interact and lightly slipped his hands into his pockets. The witch child was certainly strange. "You do realize you are a witch child right?" he had a feeling this kid had no idea what he was capable of. How odd. He looked at abigale and lightly found a chair to sit in where he could still watch them both.

He inhaled and focused back on the witch child. He was too old for this dammit. "Trust me removing you from the hospital was best. You would not have wanted to be there with what was happening" his eyes studied the child more and he shook his head. How was he to explain something so important to the kid....perhaps wait for Callie. she was better with kids after all. That and he did just see Alexis slink off toward the kitchen and Callie go in there as well.

Quinton sighed softly at everyones reactions, staying close to zoe, he tried to be...beta like, as he backed Zoe up, enusring that it wasn't just her that was speaking. He scanned across the room, frowning at the girls challenge to Zoe, the alpha, he sighed. These pups had a lot to learn about being in a pack, and the hierachy, but perhaps she could be excused, it had been a difficult day for them. Still...He watched Zoe as she took the challenge, causing the girl to back down. A little relieved at that, Quinton shifted slightly, scanning the room once more. His gaze landed on Xerses, the two teens that weren't healing. Yes, the place was indeed a beacon.

And for him, lucky. Perhaps Abigale andss himself had forever been coming here, but it had been...luck he susposed that found the hunter dead, and them safe in the town. His gaze went to Zoe, as he thought for a moment, then back to the teens. As one of the boys, one of the imprinted boys, took the girl from the doctor, Quinton sighed.

God save him from young werewolves in love.

As the boy made to flee the room, Quinton shifted int o action, blocking the door way, he stared down at the young boy, carrying the girl. "Don't think so, Kiddo" He said softly, trying to give him a kind smile, nodding him back into the room, his body blocking the exit, making it clear that the young man wasnt going to get through, "She needs medical care, and you can't take her from the doctor, be a good lad, please and return to where you were"

Xerxes Arvanitis

Location: Sky Lakes Medical Center.
Interacting With: Syleste Vos (@Vicier), Gage Brooks (@BlackPanther), Cassandra Arvanitis, Connor Vos (@Caits), Zoé Flores (@Vicier), and any others in the room.

He hadn't quite expected the lack of response from the teenagers who, just a few moments ago, couldn't keep quiet for the life of them. He could feel it, though. He could feel the understanding, hidden somewhere behind the scent of terror and confusion. More than that, though, he could feel his daughter's gaze upon him once more and his resolve nearly broke.

She looked so scared, but also hidden within her deep brown eyes was the look of hurt, of being betrayed... by him. Xerxes and Cassandra had always had such a close relationship - they never kept anything from each other. She would always come home from school and tell him about her day, about boys and hormones and about her friends whenever they didn't make smart decisions. He felt like he knew everything about her and she him except for the biggest part about him of all. He had kept the world of the supernatural from her - the only thing he had ever lied to her about. But now... now she was in it... he couldn't lie to her anymore. And the look she was giving him led him to believe that she had figured that much out on her own; that he knew something she didn't which only made her hurt expression tear through his heart like wet tissue paper even more painful.

He could lose her for this...

Seeming to debate with himself for a few moments as to whether or not he wanted to say anything, Xerxes exchanged glances with Zoé before shifting, delicately handing Syleste over to Gage. He had made up his mind. And he was terrified about it.

"Keep her just... there..." Xerxes said, laying Syleste in Gage's arms in such a way that wouldn't put too much strain on her open wounds that would cause for her to bleed out. "No quick movements, I'll tend to her personally after all of this." He was speaking directly to the boy, as though it were a private conversation. But the room had gone so deathly quiet, he felt as though his calm, soft voice was shouting, or echoing off the walls. No longer seeing a point for Syleste to thrash about now that she was in his care, he lifted the slight emotional control he had on her.

"So. If I'm a werewolf, that makes you a... Weredingo."

Xerxes looked to Connor, watching him for a moment as he tried to make sense of everything about him and of the girl he was holding so tightly in his arms. He knew it was really only meant for the comment to be directed towards her, but he spoke up with a clear, confident voice that betrayed the roil of emotions he was feeling on the inside.

"Yes." He nodded before continuing. "Werewolves, Weredingos... Sirens even." He paused before looking back down at his daughter, hugging him tightly and just wanting everything to end. He nearly choked on his Adam's apple. Was she even capable of hating him after all of this was all said and done? Shaking his head of the thought, Xerxes gently moved his daughter away from his side enough for him to be able to take off his doctors lab coat and draped it over her shoulders. She was a Werewolf now, sure, and probably didn't need the extra warmth despite what she was wearing. He just hoped it would serve as some amount of comfort to her.

"Klamath Falls has always drawn the supernatural to it; species of all kinds. What Zoé is telling you is the truth. That was no ordinary wolf that attacked you all, but a Werewolf. Zoé is the alpha of her pack. By bringing you all here, she has claimed you all as her own, despite another being the one to turn you... and..."

Xerxes had crossed back over to Gage and Syleste, stripping himself free from his regular jacket and laid it over the top of the frail girl, giving her a soft, almost fatherly look before turning around to face his daughter and slowly approached her. Meeting his eyes with hers, he was quiet for a few moments, trying to get a read from her as to how she would react to what he was about to do.

"I love you, Cassie. And I'll always protect you..." He stooped down slightly to kiss her brow, taking one of his hands to cradle the back of her head before reluctantly pulling away and took a few steps back from her to where the room was the most open. "The supernatural is everywhere..." He slipped out of his shirt, not wanting to ruin it and bunched it up in his hands. Still keeping his eyes on his daughter, he hesitated just a fraction longer. "Forgive me."

There was a second of silence, and then a quick tearing sound that was quickly overpowered by a loud thwoop. A pair of large, golden wings emerged from his body, thick bone-like appendages sprouting from between his shoulder blades extending out to the wings on either side of him. They extended fully for a moment, stretching out to their full length that took up nearly the entire space before he settled them back down to rest against his back, the light sound of feathers brushing up against each other the only thing that could be heard through the dead silence.

"You used to call me your guardian angel when you were little... I've wanted to tell you a thousand times as to how right you were..."

Cassandra

Interacting With: Xerxes Arvanitis (@YoshiSkittlez), Quinton Matson, Connor Vos and Cody Treadwell (@Caits), Magnus Bane, Gage Brooks and Aron Brooks (@BlackPanther), Sebastian Monroe (@December), Miranda Burke (@Damo021), Zoe Flores, Syeste (Vos) Nioré and Kaylee Evans @Vicier

As her father passed Syleste over to Gage, as he spoke, as he looked down at her, Cassandra had to look away. She wasn't sure about much anymore, and she sniffled. As he moved her away, she clutched at him, and when he put his lab coat over her shoulders, she slid her arms through the sleeves, holding the coat close to herself. It was too big for her, the sleeves too long, the trailing on the ground, and she could wrap it around herself quite nicely. It made her feel warm and safe, much like her father's hugs. She inhaled his scent, a faint constant for her, her entire life. Amber. Vanilla. A comforting combination, that she associated with everything her father was. She bowed her head, hugging herself, the coat wrapped around her. She swallowed, trying not to cry again.

Her fathers voice fell over her, another constant in her life. Talking things through with her, telling her stories, helping her understand things...his voice was one of the few things she first remembered. One of the first things she heard in the morning, one of the last she heard at night. She closed her eyes, her head bowed, his words swimming through her head. What he was saying...didn't make sense. Oh, on the surface, she supposed it did...but not deep down. she has claimed you all as her own, despite another being the one to turn you. No...that wasn't right. If it was as simple as that...then couldn't the...the...werewolf that attacked them...just claim them right now? The thoughts confused her, and she snuggled into the coat more.

Wouldn't it make more sense...if they had to claim...Zoe as their alpha?

She opened her eyes, meeting her fathers gaze, as he approached her again. "I love you, Cassie. And I'll always protect you..." Oh, god. He had hidden something from her...she bit her lip as he kissed her brow, cradled her head. He had hidden something from her...something big. Something she didn't know if she could forgive. She shook slightly, as he kept his eyes on her. Like she was the only thing in the world that mattered. She had seen that look, everyday of her life. And it crushed her.

"Forgive me."

Two simple words. With a whole lot of mening. For single moment, time seemed to slow, and she gave the ttiniestof nods. She hugged herself once more, watching her father. Watch as he sprouted wings. She stood, silent and watching him, unable to look away.

"You used to call me your guardian angel when you were little... I've wanted to tell you a thousand times as to how right you were..."

She looked up at him, eyes swimming with tears. None, however, dropped as she stared at him, trying to process everything. Trying to...understand. "Then" She said softly, after what seemed like a long time, "Why didn't you?". She didn't take her eyes from him. Had her mother...been the same? why...why wasn't she like her father then? Feeling a little lost, she stared at her father, wanting to go over to him, but she didn't think that she could, wanting his comfort, she was scared. Terrified, in fact.

"Daddy..."

She drew in a deep breath, and went towards him, hesitant at first, before she flung herself at him, hugging him tightly, "I love you, Dad" she said, her voice breaking and she swallowed around the painful lump in her throat, pressing herself close against him, before she let go, looking up at him. "But...you're wrong, Dad. Zoe can't claim us...we have to claim her" She didn't realise how right that was, until her heart started to beat fast, as she turned to Zoe. She couldn't imagine that...that Zoe was happy with what had happened. She swallowed, and met the woman's eyes, walking over to the older woman, she stopped in front of her. "My name is Cassandra Arvantis." She knew that Zoe knew that, but...it felt right, in some way shape and form. "And I am a werewolf" She tried not to let hesitancy form in her words, as she swallowed. "And you...are my Alpha"

She wished she could know if that was right, as she took her gaze away from Zoe for a moment, looking to her friends, gaze rolling over Syleste and Sebastian-not because they weren't important, but because...they weren't wolves. Her gaze landed on her father a moment, before falling to Miranda, to Gage holding Syleste, to Aron and Cody on the bed, to the man behind Zoe, to Kaylee and the boy beside her. ”I don’t know what’s going to happen...I don’t...I don’t truly know what has happened to us...but” She straightened her shoulders, and looked back to Zoe, hoping she was doing the right thing. ”We are what we are now...and I am glad to not stand alone” Her gaze flicked to her father. She knew she’d never be alone, with him as her father, but...she could no more understand what it was to be what he was, then he could about her being a werewolf. It tore at her, as she clutched the coat to her tighter, and her gaze went back to Zoe.

”Is...is there anything else, I need to do...?”

She looked to Zoe for guidance, for what she needed to do, her eyes slightly wide, but accepting...trusting...and filled with a need she didn't truly understand then. Might never understand. Her hands hung loosely by her side, and she simply stared at Zoe, waiting. Here was someone that could understand, that could help her, her friends. And right then, that was all Cassandra needed. Just to not feel...lost.

Abigale blinked, the five year old feeling...out of her depth. Could she really give this kid advice, could she really help him? Abigale didn't know, and she stumbled back as he hissed at her, falling to her butt as she did so. She looked up at him, her brown eyes wide, and maybe a little scared. "Did you stop and think that maybe there was more going on, that maybe they couldn't stop and tell you what happened?" She asked, from her spot on the ground, her dark hair framing her young face. "That maybe your here, simply because Miss Callie can help you?" Abigale got to her feet, hugging herself a little bit. "Callie is a witch. A good witch. She's given what was probably hard charms to you because she wants to help you"

She stared at him, her brown eyes warm, but a little haunted. "Miss Zoe has ways to make the process easier, and Miss Callie is a witch she could use magic to make it easier if she wanted to. You're a Wizard, Harry" She said in a rather passable immitation of Hagrid, yet another note of her Harry Potter obession. She didn't know the kids name, he hadn't told her yet, she was sure, so...she just quoted the line, "And if I was you...I'd be glad someone wants to teach me, and to give me a home" Abigale looked up to the kid and said "Miss Zoe's sister is a cop. I don't think your record would...mean anything really"

She turned from him, and said "But be grouchy. You seem good at it" The young girl said, looking in the direction Remus had gone.

Connor

@Vicier

Connor glanced to the doctor, frowning slightly, then back to Kaylee. What Kaylee was didn't matter to him, just knowing what he felt...that Kaylee felt the same...that was more then enough. He'd just wanted to guess, to have her tell him, but that didn't matter now. With his attention mostly on her, with the rest on what was going on around him, Connor took stock of himself. Had there really been any changes, the last two months? With a hand, keeping his other arm wrapped around Kayele, he pushed his glasses up his nose, he blinked, wondering if he actually needed them now. It wasn't something he was willing to test...but where did they go, when he was a wolf?

He shifted sligthly as the Doctor continued to speak, seeming to focus on the girl that must be his daughter, even as he seemed to take over...which didn't seem right. His gaze flickered to the woman, Zoe, that was...it seemed, boss, before flicking back to the doctor as his large wings unfurled. Shifting just slightly, Connor watched, glancingn to Kaylee every so often. As the girl hugged the Doctor, turned to Zoe, Connor watched intently. Something, it seemed, was happening.

As the girl pronounced Zoe her Alpha, Connor shifted again, turning to Kaylee. Connor knew absolutely nothing about what he was...but he knew the value of safety in numbers, and if it would make Kaylee safe...then this was the right path. So when the girl finished, Connor took Kaylee's hand, gave it a squeeze, and turned to Zoe. "I am Connor Vos" and here, Connor looked over to the pink haired girl, remembering that she had told the staff her last name was Vos, still wondering what her connection was, whether or not it was just a coincidene...but he was learning that there were no coincidences. He glanced back to Zoe, "I...i was bitten, two months ago, in a wolf attack. I woke with no injuries, and since then, I've been floating along...eventually coming here. I am a werewolf. Kaylee..." He looked to Kaylee, and smiled, then back "Kaylee is my...mate" The word felt strange, and yet not so, on his tongue. Mate. "And...if you'll have us...You are our Alpha" He hoped he was doing the right thing, speaking for Kayele like that as well...he just knew he wouldn't be parted from her.
