Hm.
I've no problem with your character besides the fact that...

dinosaur finds aren't found by major bounty hunters or treasure hunters because they travel to dangerous places, where they go unearth ancient ruins or something

They're found when a bunch of people get together in a desert somewhere, or a jungle somewhere, and slowly/meticulously unearth a giant section of earth- finding some bones here and there.

@OfWindAndRain No, criticising someone's character when you're not the GM is being an arse. If you have an issue you should take it to the GM and/or the player privately. It's not like your character's premise is perfect. If @Hysoka wants a character who discovered dino fossils in a slightly unconventional way, why can't he? In the real world dinosaur fossils are found by non-paleontologists all the time.

By no means was I demanding that he change it, or that he was required to change it. I was simply stating, with no other action, how the vast majority of major dinosaur finds are unearthed in the modern world. I was stating what I thought, and how something actually works in the real world. If I'm not allowed to state my own opinion and thoughts on any matter, then what is the point of having an OOC, beyond a place to post a CS for the GM to review.

If I post something in the thread's OOC, I do so with the intention to both submit it to the GM for review, and to see if any member of the roleplay has suggestions or thoughts on my character. If I refuse to let anyone see or comment on my work, then I could miss a mistake, or a detail, or an opportunity to make it better. I use OOC for discussion.

I am not trying to beat him down with my criticism, but rather point out something that doesn't entirely make sense and could be clarified on. Constructive criticism, in other words.

Please stop trying to pick a fight. (<- And this is not a demand or order, this is a plea.)

@OfWindAndRain Starting off your comment with "I have no problem with your character besides the fact..." implies that this character has been submitted for your approval rather than the GMs. Maybe you meant this as constructive but it does not come off that way. At the end of the day it doesn't matter if you have a problem with someone's char or not, all that matters is how the GM feels about it.

This is by no means an attempt to pick a fight, just giving YOU some constructive criticism about how to phrase things in a less rude way.

@Hysoka Since we're not actually on the island and haven't explicitly stated who all is present I reckon I can accept your CS. Unless someone is opposed? That said, before you post I recommend doing a once over to spellcheck, there were a few instances of missing characters in that CS.

But from this point forward, I will be pretty much only accepting CSs only for survivors already on the island.

I was a little late to the party iv been highly busy today unfortunately. I see there was a little discussion about my biography. I admit I didn't clarify that Bio as well as I would have liked. He didn't find Dinosaur bones in dangerous areas as much as he found other priceless artifacts, he did find Dinosaurs fossils but those were more conventional finds in more conventional places. It was my fault for not being more specific on that nature. I was merely trying to put out there that he is more then just a Paleontologist, that he also hunted down priceless long lost artifacts that were guarded by ancient traps and that his interests extended beyond dinosaurs but none the less his true passion was in dinosaurs. But it got a bit jumbled up and slightly confusing. I hope this clears up or at least clarify s a little confusion.

I'm just glad we got another guy character. I was afraid this was going to be like Sucker Punch with dinosaurs.

There's not- I see the use in a loose post order (so many need to post before you post again) but not a strict one (where everyone comes to a general consensus to skip someone after some period of time after they're gone, otherwise everyone posts after one specific person).

I'm working on a post anyhow, I just don't know if it'll be up tonight or tomorrow. Go on with your discussion, though- it doesn't include me, so I shouldn't be the reason it doesn't go on.

A question: How many people are on the ferry, and are accompanying our group?
Is it just our player characters, or is there a slew of NPCs who are driving the vehicles, providing support, etc., and who are they? Are they just employees and the like, or are they hired as well, or what?
