As I recall, Vestec actually has a magical army of naked people named after Lifprasil's general, created as a joke with Astarte.

Canon.

@Antarctic Termite Order of Lakshmi. #NeverForget

Edit: it is in fact an Order. Vestec spent might on it. They charge into battle, naked, and MUST scream LAKSHMIIIIIII! as they do.

Edit Edit: Then again, it's not so unrealistic.

Guys...I just realised something. If you look carefully at Lupin's face here, you can see he's smiling, and then he's actually laughing but hides it by moving his head out of the shot. How could 'e >:(

My pattern for writing posts:

"Ok I will finish this post by tonight!"
*Begins to type something.*
*Stops after half a sentence.*
"Ok that's enough for today."
*Proceeds to ignore unfinished post for the rest of the day.*

It's perfect.

@Muttonhawk Oh, that image has been on my reference folder for a while, IDK if I ever linked it in a post, but I'm sure I showed it to someone (maybe Poog?).

I don't recall. I just saw it while browsing around elsewhere and thought it looked very Ilunabar.

@Muttonhawk Far too symmetrical. Too Toun. But the lights make it very Raka too
What is that place though? Is it some palace? Quite breathtaking

Edit: It could equally be Teknall though, given that it is a building after all. And Jvan, on the symmetry point.

@Kho I reverse google searched it. It's an Iranian mosque built in the late eighteen-hundreds.

If Jvan built that, it would be made of human corneas, melted down and delicately dyed in the colour of the eyes they once protected. They no longer move, but you can still feel their gaze, all through the building. Watching.

@Muttonhawk Yup, you can quite easily see it is a mosque from style alone. Just another thing in my "List of Iranian places I want to visit and probably should do it soon because you never know when things could go downhill.". I'm quite a persiaboo at times.

@Kho Eh? Ilunabar isn't against symmetry you know. Like her symbol-thing I use as her post banner.

Those barbiranians build things? >.> (edit: technically it was still Persia when that was built, so the fragility of my propaganda-induced understanding of modern-day Iranians remains just about intact. Whew, close one there Big Brother.)

I think the truly awe-inspiring thing about buildings like these - whether mosques or churches or whatnot - is the space. The icons and paintings and patterns etc. are all very beautiful of course, but what really takes you is, say, the lofty height which a church ceiling rises to. I think it is in the empty space rather than the building itself that the true beauty of what the architect(s) were trying to capture lies.

I mean, I've just come back from my local town hall, and as you're leaving there's this part where the low ceiling gives way to a sudden square dome-like rise, and there were two windows that let the sun in from two different directions. And that space was just breathtaking (even though the townhall's interior is white and bare). It surprised me so much that I just stood there and gawped for, like, five minutes.

Eh, the name change to Persia to Iran wasn't really radical, people there called it Iran already, and since 1930's Europe was all about Aryans, the Shah was like "Wait, my country is literally called Land of the Aryan in my language, screw that greek name, call me Iran now." (Not the exact words of the Shah)

Scholars debate if that was a smart decision or not to this day, one side goes with "But that is what we call ourselves." other side goes with "But in the west people mostly know our culture with Persia related terms, like Persian rugs, Persian cats. They don't associate the ancient heritage of Persia with Iran."

Anyway, in a side note about names, Iraq's name comes from Uruk, after multiple translations.

And changing a bit from that area, Brasil's name comes from a local tree that was "red like brass" (1º trigger phrase to very anti-communist compatriots who avoid anything red) but in an odd coincidence, Celts used to believe in a mythical island across the sea called Hy-Brasil, with no relation whatsoever to the former's name.

@BBeast Please tell me that you have a voice in mind for Sharon. The only other Sharon I know was a large, hopeless romantic netball player character acted by Magda Szubanski and I just can't get that out of my head.

I need a different voice in my head.
