Currently trying out a digital boardgame: Armello. Four-player game where everyone is trying to build enough power to take over as king of Armello as the current king is dying of corruption and is going absolutely bonkers. Plenty of opportunities for backstabbing. Excellent game so far.

Just finished Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright. I've already finished Conquest, so that means that only Revelations remains. I also plan to restart Tomodachi Life and Animal Crossing in the near future.

Finished The Witcher 3 after having beaten The Witcher 2 several months ago. AHHHHHHH SO GOOD. Especially having read three of the books so far, I feel like it made the game even more rewarding. Ah, what a series, what a world, what awesome characters. Favorite ever? It might just damn well be. Doing my next play through slowly, even slower than the last one. I will milk every drop of enjoyment out of this game and savor it til' Cyberpunk 2077 arrives (man I hope that game is amazing).

Also beat The Last of Us: Remastered (dope!) and Uncharted 4 (dope!). Onto Red Dead Redemption for whatever reason I have not beaten despite my enjoyment of playing the game on previous attempts and my love of the Old West.

How are the translations of those? I've thought about getting them but been afraid they would be bad.

And I know this is a weird question to ask, but how does it compare to the writing in the game? Because Witcher 3 is the only game i've ever played where the storytelling made me jealous.

I don't have a great grasp of Polish whatsoever so I couldn't quite say as to the true quality of the translations, but for me they read smooth and are amongst the best fantasy books I've ever read. Might be somewhat biased there, but Sapkowski is a great mind for world and character building. And good lord does he twist fairy tales wonderfully. And compared to the games they're just as good, if not better in terms of writing. One thing CDPR did that I love was that they were pretty true to the books I feel, despite the games being their own story.

But yes, I recommend the translations. And the books don't ever go over 500 pages I think. Sapkowski is kind of a rare breed of fantasy author in the sense that he doesn't have many bloated-sized books, if any.

The episodic Hitman game. Clearly the franchise has gone down in quality. So boring.

Been playing Overwatch a lot (omg so basic..sorry) I love the game a lot.

However, I am taking a break from it to play the new Tales game: Tales of Berseria. I am a huge Tales franchise fan and this game is a lot of fun. I like the characters, the story, and the gameplay. A few things irk me, but it's a nice game compared to the last one.

I bought a bunch of boardgames recently, my favourites being Legendary: Aliens, A Touch of Evil and Arkham Horror. Legendary: Aliens is a blast, it's a deckbuilding game with lots of sneaky monsters. By the end you get pretty powerful if you're playing good, which is nice, because you start off pretty weak.

I've been looking into picking up the XCOM boardgame, played it once and loved it, just worried about my friends who don't like time-based mechanics - I vaguely remember a few of those. I'd love to get them more into those sorts of mechanics though...

Good choice on Chrono Trigger! That game's a classic for a reason. :)

Just waiting to get out of work tomorrow to try out the For Honor open beta. Game's really fiddly, but still damned fun.

For Honor. Definitely a fun game, but go into it realizing it's a fighting game, not just a third-person action game.

Seriously. I was playing the game for several hours before I realized the kensei had move cancels.

I've been playing to some:

-Child of light, i adore the atmosphere of this game, hovewer, it's not always easy to know the weakness of an boss, still, it's a wonderfull game.

-Oddworld stranger's wrath HD, i still have some outlaws to put in jail, maybe some places to visit.

-Phoenix wright: dual destinies and spirit of justice (i have heard of the 2nd opus recently, so i wanted to give it a try),

Victoria II, Hearts of Iron 4, Red Dead Redemption, Fallout 4, War Thunder, Kerbal Space Program, and XCom2 with the Long War 2 Mod. All games played on PC, except for Red Dead Redemption.

@JDolan My hat's off to you for figuring out Victoria II to begin with. I've gotten a handle of HoI4 and CK2, but Victoria 2 is one of those Paradox games I CANNOT get my head around.

Busy waiting for Utopia to release (semi-related: have they put out a time frame for it or the Banks patch yet?), then I'll probably jump back in.

Fuck yeah, I'm waiting for Utopia. Orbital habs? Absolutely.

Stellaris just seems like another Paradox game that will have a million DLC's. That's fine, I'm buying them one at a time.
