Pascale Isadora Buckley
♫♪ Coup de Grâce ♫♪

"That's why I have you," Pascale smiled with a shrug, "Actually, you should feel a light tingle before it works, but in essence it's like a really, really good feeling adrenaline rush and a slight hallucinogen. However, none of us have had the gull to mix it with other substances, so I don't know what it's supposed to do now. I don't... quite know if that itself is a good idea, though..."

There was absolute no idea how this word turn out anymore, but Pascale didn't back down the facade, with a bright, assured smile on her features. If this kid somehow died right before the entrance exam, it wasn't technically her fault that he mixed Dust with an unknown chemical, or drug, or whatever was in that syringe. Maybe it'd give off a positive outcome and she wouldn't be tried for manslaughter-slash-murder, especially when it was obvious this guy was a little more than experienced with these type of things. The whole, 'I only inject,' thing was kind of a give away that he had at least a minor problem. Well, no, that sounded a lot worse than just a minor problem, but this was his life he was talking about, and, having just met him, Pascale had no right to tell him otherwise. Someone else that knew him better or was qualified in psychiatry could deal with that.

Putting her backpack on and picking up the rest of her luggage, she sighed and looked at Rygar. "Well, I'm sure you can take care of yourself now; I personally don't want to be late for the ceremony," she smiled, "And I never caught your name."

"Sounds about right."

Alistair replied, before inclining his head in Arara's direction. The aforementioned prospective student was leading the way with a rather large holographic display detailing a map of where they were headed. "Seems to be where she's going too."

Heading in the same direction, he glanced back to Addica. "Alistair Thorne. Thanks for the hand back there, by the way."

Giving up on his search Tirren followed the people that appeared to know where they were going. Hopefully the majority of these people knew the right way. As he continued with the flow of the crowd he noticed a girl with a map of Beacon projected from her holopad. With a sigh of relief he decide he could just follow her. Wait a minute though, would it be odd if he followed her, she probably wouldn't notice there were so many others, yet it seemed odd to just follow her. 'I suppose the polite thing to do is ask if i could walk with her perhaps after all even if she says no she really couldn't stop him without causing a scene.
With a reluctant action he got up to her side.
"Do you suppose i could walk with you? I sort of have no clue where to go and you look like you do," Tirren asked while indicating to the large map.

Orion watched Reya with a silent interest as she led the way. He honestly had no idea how one would go about finding the auditorium, so following the one person he'd started to interact with seemed like a pretty good plan. The first hurdle came in the form of a vast group of students who had surrounding the map and obscured it from vision. Orion knew that he had it in him to push through the masses, yet he was more interested in following than leading: so he left it to Reya to find a solution. Orion was happy enough going with the flow, because soon enough the people would move on and leave the map.

...Or a second map could appear out of nowhere and start floating a couple dozen feet away...That could work too.

Orion wasn't one to look a gift horse in the mouth, and it seemed neither was Reya, thankfully. Orion recognised the woman briefly from the incident with the two males trying to act the alpha; but Orion did not recognise her as a part of the annoying factors of that incident. Perhaps she had been a bystander or, better yet: a mediator. He would like to imagine that this woman had been trying her best to be a good person in the incident, and perhaps she succeeded: Who knows? All that mattered was Orion was starting to feel a certain social-ness creeping into him today. He'd seemingly made a friend already: why not shoot for a second?

Orion walked over to Arara: making a show of looking at the hologram. He eventually started walking alongside the woman: matching her pace. "That map is pretty useful...Thanks for making it so big." He paused for a second as he contemplated his next words. The moment of his social ineptitude was at hand, it seemed: as he couldn't think of anything particularly interesting to say. Instead, he was going to try the daring move of blunt honesty. "Reya and I were planning to go to the Ceremony together: would you like to tag along?"

Rygar looked at the syringe. "Something like this... It's going to be useful later, I think." Feeling that this was possibly the "Chekhov Gun" he's read in literary terms, he figured he would hold onto it as the girl left. He too should head into the Auditorium, however he needed to stash the Sepulcher somewhere first. Wouldn't want anyone to steal it. Before he left Pascale asked for a name. Rygar just smirked and pocketed the syringe and mounting onto the Sepulcher to find a place to park it. "Names are petty. You know who I am."

After hiding the Sepulcher, Rygar dropped down to the entrance of the auditorium. He had to admit he was lost for a little while, but hopefully he wasn't too late. Making sure no one saw him, Rygar began to set up a trap near the entrances. Just a little something to weed out the weak.

"And I'mmmmmmmmmmm... Kalimay Kay!" The energetic girl announced, jumping in between the two of boys with a skip. "This place is awesome! Look at that thing! Look at that building! Do you think they serve bagels over there? Can you eat a bagel for lunch? I mean, I know you can but it is sorta a 'breakfast food' so I guess the better question is 'is it socially acceptable to eat- Oh, cool holo-thingy!" Finally noticing the large blue holo-orb they were following, her eyes lit up as she looked up at it with a soft 'Oooooooooooh!'. Face lit up with a brilliant smile, she was off her newest rant and so seemed content to simply skip between the two boys, doing her best to keep up with their far longer strides. It was certainly going to be an interesting four years but the spunky young girl was conifident that they would be some of the best years of her life or, at the very least, better than her time at Signal Academy.

Sayuri stared making notes in her head of the people she met, "The energetic talkative one is uhh... I think she said I can call her Kay or KK, the tie breaker kid is Alistair, and the other one is Addica."

Satisfied that she had all the names sorted out she turns and starts hurrying after Kimberly she looks behind her at Alistair and Addica, "I'm Sayuri it's nice to meet you. Then we should probably follow her," as she says this she feels her phone vibrate so she pulls it out of an inside pocket of her jacket. Pulling out the newest model of phone the screen reads "May'ri." She makes a face before returning it to the pocket, "She always tries to call me at the worst times," She looks back at Alistair, "By the way have you thought about the offer I made on the airship?"

Well, that didn't go quite as planned, but at least there was still a high chance he thought it was an actual drug. Pascale shrugged in response as she ventured off. She'd keep a close eye on him, or at least keep an ear to the ground just in case a few rumors spilled about a kid who injected dust directly into his veins. That'd be a funny story, though actually seeing it was much better than simply hearing about it. But, she doubted he was stupid enough to take drugs in the middle of a ceremony. She was mistaken before, but this guy got into Beacon, so he at least had some common sense. Plus, the clock was still ticking down and she really would appreciate not being late.

Toting around her luggage, Pascale sidestepped a few eccentric students conversing with one another, eyed a large holographic map along the way, and simply set up camp by the door. She wanted at least sight see around the auditorium before entering, finding good nooks and crannies along the building, maybe areas that'd be good for a picnic. A picnic? Eh, she wasn't really one for picnics, but Beacon was proud enough to display a beautiful campus, so why not smell the roses whilst she could. Who knew what the academy had to offer their first day, aside from an entrance ceremony. There was a surplus of students clamoring around the campus itself, a little too much. Maybe Beacon had a way of thinning out the crowd.

Pascale blinked. Maybe they intended to kill off a lot of their students

Shaking her head, she finally decide to enter the auditorium, reassuring herself that these people weren't that sadistic. These kids were intended to be future huntsmen and the rigorous schedules and exams in previous academies tended to root out those who weren't destined to protect the cities from creatures of Grimm. They got into Beacon through various trials by fire, proving time and time again that they were all more than worthy to placed on the prestigious school's roster. Pascale caught their eye well enough, so she was all set too, right?

Looking around, she caught sight of the junkie again, fiddling around with something near the entrance she was approaching. He was obviously up to no good, yet again, but Pascale did just let him mix a concoction that could actually kill him, so she hopped over, dodged, scooted past whatever he was messing with without a word. Pascale wasn't a hypocrite, after all, and she usually did mostly watch her own skin. Whatever Rygar was up to was of absolutely no concern of hers. Not at all. Even if it nearly killed someone in the process. Though...

Pascale shot a glance back at the large doorway, frowning slightly, but standing her ground regardless and venturing to where the ceremony would eventually be held.

Daiki's hand went to his blade instinctively as a faunus girl walked up to him and commended him on his harmonica playing. "Thanks... I guess." He waved off the praise nonchalantly. She might have taken offense at his reaction though, so he thought he'd clarify things before they got out of hand.

"My home gets raided by hungry faunus and the Black Claw a lot. I hope you understand if I'm a little wary of faunus." He explained. "But, I won't mind you walking with me. I don't know anyone here and I'm only here because of ... special circumstances."

He walked to Beacon with the faunus girl, eying her closely as if studying her and trying to get a read on her. She was friendly enough and those claws of her seemed like a decent enough weapon. "So... what does your weapon do? I haven't seen many weapons that have firearms built in them." He stroked his blade carefully as if to comfort its self esteem.

"They probably serve bagels, and you could probably get one for lunch." Alistair commented to Kalimay, before looking to his other side when Sayuri spoke up. "Hmm?"

"Oh," His eyes lit up as he remembered what she was referring to. "Truthfully, I haven't had too much time to think. I do appreciate the offer, though. My weapons are engineered fairly well, and while I'm proud of it, the assertion isn't born of pride. They do what they were meant to do nine times out of ten. Their biggest problem is that so many of the parts weren't really meant to fit together the way they do, so I have to perform maintenance constantly."

He gestured at the weapon stored with its handle to his left. "Hell here in particular has developed a bad habit of sticking if I don't perform maintenance nightly, and sometimes she does it anyway. Heaven doesn't have so many issues, mostly because she doesn't have as many complex inner workings."

It was sorta funny, really. Arara didn't think that she would ACTUALLY be the only person who had downloaded an app that allowed access to specific information for students of Beacon Academy. Hiding a smile as she detoured around the growing crowd of students swamping the Information Kiosk, when there were more, easily accessible ones if they looked to walk a bit farther to the side. Alas, these were mainly students of the Vytal Kingdom, after all. She shouldn't have expected so much of them. Heck, most of them didn't even notice the GIANT MOVING HOLOGRAPHIC MAP until Arara was already half way towards her destination.

If these types of people were her fellow classmates, Arara had no doubt that she would be one of the best students in her year, get some needless scholarships, and then use her improved relationship with her teachers to find where her brother had gone off.

As her one-handed spear spins became a little more dangerous, twisting in helixes and occasionally being tossed and caught in the air, Arara turned her head back, watching as the first student approached, apparently intent on striking up conversation. Some boy who didn't like to get his hair cut, apparently. She wondered how much product he used for his dark hair, and whether that red ribbon was a gift from a girlfriend or something. But regardless of what she thought, his words quickly established themselves as being pointless. “It's not like I can stop you from doing it,” she said, turning her head back to facing frontwards, “Outside getting a restraining order, I guess. You didn't get that package with the schedule for the first day?”

And from her other side, another male approached, a tall, burly, scraggly looking person who appeared to have gotten into Beacon only after failing the academic section of it five times. Then again, she shouldn't judge humans based off their appearance, and instead, put on her diplomatic, pleasant smile, replying as she caught the spear one last time and stopped spinning-to-win so that it didn't accidentally maul any of her followers, “Your welcome. And I would consider your offer, if it wasn't for the fact that, as we all know, I'm going there regardless. I'm Lady Arara Sakanade. You?”

IC: "That's dumb."

A girl was standing in the middle of the hall in front of Alistair's group, staring at the ceiling intently, the delicate curve of her neck interrupted by the collar of a trenchcoat that looked like it had been through several hurricanes, a forest fire, and was one size too big.

"Well-worn" would be the kindest way of putting it. A "Goodwill wannabe" was probably more apt. The sword peeking from the edge of her coat didn't look much better.

Kiora looked down and held the bridge of her nose, doing her best to ignore the ever increasing number of people and weapons around her. Especially the weapons.

She bit her lower lip before starting to whisper something about arches to herself, clearing trying to focus on something other than the sword on the boy who had just jostled by her.

"Well I came to the same conclusion as that about the map, but I figured it might be a bit odd if I just followed you. I, I mean yeah you probably wouldn't have noticed if I did, because there are so many others, but if you did I thought it would be a bit awkward. So, I figured I would ask. Though now that I think of it this is much more awkward." Tirren stuttered. "As far as the schedule, I may have skimmed through it, but it was really boring and then I sort of forgot it this morning. "
With his explanation complete Tirren glanced at the others who had approached. Even though he wasn't actually asked by anyone he offered up his name to them. "I'm Tirren by the way." After all he had already forgotten his introduction with Arara, might as well make up for that and introduce himself to the others.

*Morella Cinder*

Morella stood up, hands in her hoodie pockets. She shrugged, replying to Tarkus, "Might as well," and taking the initiative to lead the pair through the dwindling crowds to leave the ship. "You know," she said, as they stepped outside, "Might could see about scanning it into my holo-workbench. Dunno if it's resistant to things like that, but if you weren't given schematics for it...well, it might not help as much, but I wouldn't know what to do other than experiment," she said, glancing up. She spottet a student leaping off the lamp post and cartwheeling down the avenue, taking opportunities to bound off of benches, kiosks, over people's shoulders, etc. Morella shook her head, with an exasperated sigh, saying to herself, "That guy's in his own movie or something."
~Oliver Kootz~

/MMM\

Oliver affected marching band music from his mouth, while he sang, "Da da dadalalada Beacon, da da dadalalada campus, Beacon campus, Beacon campus, polka-dot polka-dot polka-dot student!" One each syllable of polka-dot, he planted colorful stickers on nearby, unsuspecting, and easily annoyed student's faces. As his singing was then interrupted with him dodging wayward punches, Oliver decided to reign in his celebratory activities and head towards the center of the campus, just a tad.

The main thoroughfare to the Auditorium was slightly obscured, though not much, by a group of students following a girl with a holo-display of the campus. Oliver figured the building at the center was where they were to go, so he didn't need to follow them, but things seemed far to droll and in control over there. With a smirk, as he readied his polka-dot stickers, he jogged up to the group. "S'cuse me, coming through, urgent business." Ollie said, as some students in the back just looked behind to him. It was too quick for anyone to move, but Ollie slid in between people in the moving crowd. He didn't run into anyone, he didn't step on any toes, he didn't even jostle any bags, he just moved like water through the group. To anyone who paid attention, it might have been impressive, though Ollie just found it fun. He neared the front, spinning past the girl with the holo-pad without so much as jostling the ruffles on her skirt. He turned, with a wry smile, saying, "Pardon me, gang, sorry for the bother," while turning to sprint down the avenue. He looked down, the sheet of polka-dot stickers was completely empty, as random colored dots would be found on shoulders, bags, hats, etc. of several people in the group.

Near the border of the Auditorium were large pillars, with signs and flags hanging from the top. Several Upperclassmen pitched in to make the new students welcome. Perhaps the Siege last year had brought them closer together, perhaps they wanted to make a good first impression; Either way, the reception for the new students coming in was very warm and colorful. A few Upperclassmen were waiting at the end of the avenue to welcome new students personally. Which Oliver appreciated, though didn't partake in quite yet. What he was interested in was the view, from the top of the pillars bordering the edge of the Auditorium's sidewalk. He stopped his run at the base of one of the pillars, looking up and brushing his hand along the stone. "...Oh yeah...I could climb that..." he said to himself, grinning as he clambered up and started scaling the 6 story structure.

Sayuri sighs as she pulls of a sticker, "This is going to be a very interesting next four years," she thinks to herself before turning back forward she watches Oliver make his way through the crowd slightly impressed, "Okay, if you ever need any parts I brought plenty with me. I went a little overboard when packing and brought parts my weapon doesn't even use so you may find something you need."

She once again checks her weapon to make sure it was still there and smiles remembering how long it took her to perfect the weapon, "Two long years of hard work to perfect it. Though I did have to have some help from my mom to make the cartridges but only one the other 7 or 8 are all my work."

Tarkus mulled over her proposition for the incredibly substantial amount of 2 seconds, heck, not like the thing would have a bomb in it, he had a small smile tuggin at his mouth when he gave his short response of: "Sure! I doubt it'd hurt it much, but heck, it's an idea."

When they stepped off the airship, Tarkus was impressed to see a rather sizable holographic display coming out of...something in the distance. Some girl was using a holo-pad, thing must have been a recent model, he didn't recall the projections being quite that crisp, especially given how far away he was, he had a hunch where she was going, not like there was anyplace else that first years would supposed to go anyway. When Morella mentioned some guy, Tarkus turned his head to see a guy doing some of the best cuts he'd ever seen, didn't even look like he bumped into anybody. Tarkus quickly recalled that Cadeyrn was still on the ship, and turned to the center located near the docks where he assumed their possessions were being unloaded.

"Hey, wait here a sec, I gotta go get Caddy" He said before running over and asking the attendant if they had a rather large, excessively heavy hammer, they brought it out, though it was clear they struggled in moving the thing, to the point where they used a luggage cart for it. Tarkus reached into his backpack, and pulled out a harness-like object with a diamond shaped metallic piece where all the leather strips met. Slipping the harness over his arms and onto his shoulders, he picked Cadeyrn up with one hand, and placed the handle onto the metal piece, Cadeyrn stuck fast and didn't even wobble as he returned to Morella, pack in hand and hammer on back.

"Sorry about that, now, what do you think the opening ceremony is going to be li-" He stopped for a moment and stared at the massive pillar supporting one of the academy buildings, the same guy with the jukes from earlier now attempting to scale it. His pupils enlarged for a moment, and he turned to Morella with a somewhat worried look on his face.

"You uh...Don't think he's seriously gonna climb that...do you?"

It was surprising how much trouble people seemed to be having with simple directions. The amphitheater was dead ahead from the airship docks; they just had to follow the wide, straight path that lead right to it. People clumped around the kiosk, making Jack glad she'd gotten there early to copy information from the terminal into her phone. The miniature mosh pit surrounding the kiosk now drew a smirk across her face that said Glad I'm not you, sucker.

With her hand on the strap of her day pack she walked down the path towards her destination. She watched as a few paces ahead of her a ritzy looking girl brought up a holographic map, and in the process turned herself into a mobile replica of the kiosk, surrounded by students trying to find their way. The resemblance forced a warm, short laugh from between Jack's lips.

Feeling less repressed now that she was outside of the confines of the airship, and seeing that a few students from her alma mater were around the girl with the holopad, Jackie figured it wouldn't hurt to say hi. Then again, were they even in her year? Despite that they were all following the girl with the holopad, all three seemed to be in different circles, which made it feel kind of weird to address them all together at once.

"Orion." Honestly, he had hoped the woman had less information than Reya had. It was a little disconcerting that someone had managed to find him out of the blue and, from name alone, start to recall tales, rumors and hearsay heard from Signal. Orion would be more than a little glad if the name he spoke was one that inspired absolutely nothing but a sense of apathy in the mind of 'Lady' Arara Sakanade. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small treat: namely a hard-boiled caramel sweet, wrapped in gold. "I'd offer you a sweet, but it hardly seems befitting of a Lady." He offered a small, close-mouthed smirk, almost playful in light of his own joke that aimed to lightheartedly tease the newly met woman. It might come accross as rude, but he was hardly going to mask the reality of his nature in order to appease the ego of one person. Besides, it was unlikely she had made the holographic map that big accidentally.

Still, Orion glanced forward to see Reya's somewhat distant form looking back at him and he shook his head in a moment of disbelief. He hadn't expected to make a friend, let alone one with such energy, on the first day. Reya seemed so eager to begin the life changing journey that was on offer: Orion couldn't help but want to relax her a little, lest she charge towards the worries and strife ahead.

Either way, it would be rude of him to ignore Reya in favour of Arara: so he started to walk again, this time taking things just a bit slower in hopes that Arara would follow along. "Since you and I both appear to be heading in the same direction, it's only fair I offer you some conversation." He pondered what would be the first thing Hunters could talk about. The obvious ones were things like 'Weapons' or 'Semblance' or 'auras' or things like that: but frankly, the conversation would get old real quick. Instead he focused in on something else: something the woman might actually want to talk about. "You attire is nice."

...No one accused Orion of being good at conversation

"...I see," Grizel replied, her smile receding slightly. As much as distrusting herself for the actions of less-fortunate or less-moral faunus irked her, it at least meant this guy had more of an excuse then 'whee humans are awesomer'. She was quite surprised when he still decided to walk to Beacon with her, though.

"...Okay! Onward we go!" Grizel exclaimed with great enthusiasm. As she walked alongside Daiki, the faunus made sure there was some distance between them, more for his sake. If she wanted to prove how trustworthy she was, she figured she could start by staying out of his pocket's reach. The subject of her weapons, though, brought out the excitable child that was surely within everyone when it came to talking about their badass weapons.

And so, with great cheer and gusto, Grizel clenched her fists tightly and began, "These guys? They punch the badness outta people! And shocks them! Like, bam, bam, zap, bam! Oh, and slice, slice! And stun too, I guess! It's the best melee weapon ever!"
Accompanying her comic-like sound effects were the appropriate actions, swung at the air in front of her. The claws remained redacted. Because health and safety and all that.

"Right." Daiki commented sheepishly after that display. At least she was friendly and didn't seem to hold his wariness against him. She kept a respectful distance as well, improving his opinion of faunus slightly, or at least for her case. He supposed he could refrain from holding her quirkiness against her.

"That's interesting. My sword is just a sword." He added, embarrassed and feeling inferior now that even a faunus girl was better equipped than he was. He was suddenly very aware of how his own clothing looked very well-washed and worn beside hers.
